Sergei Esenin - Also spelled "Yesinin". He's one of the more prominent poets of the revolutionary period (post- and pre-), and, I believe, an arch rival of Vladimir Mayakovsky's. he was of peasant background, many times referring to the beauty of rural life in his poetry. He opposed emphasis on industrialization, known for a widely publicized, rowdy personal life. A suicide.*
