in their monthly newsletter.(Their current status: unknown)

UFO SIGHTINGS 1997

HEIDELBERG, SOUTH AFRICA
On Saturday the 26th of July at 8:30pm a huge blue/green light was seen flying at an astronomical speed above the treetops in the area of Rensburg, Heidelberg. The incident lasted for approximately three to four seconds before the object flew behind the trees and disappeared.

WESTDENE, SOUTH AFRICA
On Saturday the 2nd of August at 7:05pm two people witnessed what was thought to be a very bright star in the night sky above Westdene. Suddenly the object began falling at a rapid rate and then stopped, this motion was followed by zigzagging acrobatics as the phenomenon disappeared and reappeared into view. This spectacle lasted for approximately 10 minutes.

EDENVALE, JOHANNESBURG
A witness saw three UFOs at 6:30am in Edenvale moving from West to South.

HILLARY, DURBAN
On Monday, 2 June at about 11pm a witness observed a UFO hovering outside her bedroom window for about half an hour before disappearing. Two days later the same incident occurred in the same place at the same time.

ESCOURT, DURBAN
UFO's For Africa received many telephone calls about the sighting on Friday 13th June at about 19h30 en route to Durban. A number of witnesses stopped their cars to watch the event. They saw what appeared to be concentric rings of light rotating clockwise and then anti-clockwise without losing their formation. These rings of light moved across the highway and back again. There were no beams seen projecting from the ground and there was no sound emitted by the phenomenon. Some observers could still see this spectacle after they had driven 10-15km's away from the scene!

NORTHCLIFF, JOHANNESBURG
Many extra-ordinary bright lights have been seen, some bouncing and others just hovering. One witness saw many small balls of light being released from one of the larger balls of light and observed them speeding of in different directions.
