Clutching Story

"Why did my drak ever pick you?" Luc blurted out, irritated by the young woman that had entered his life. He had tried to just let everything slip past him, but she was so irritating.
He had come here, to Savannah castle, because they needed Male draks for flights.. His drak, Sevlardu had wanted Aardenis from the start, a young drak from Wo Yao Fei. He had asked his drak many times why, but the drak was too stubborn to answer.
Luc had just made a promotion on Chindor Castle, but as a high knight, without a mate, he didn't think himself worthy of that rank. And that is why he had come here, towards one of the new castles.
"Wow, you can speak?" Sarah said mockingly. "I assumed that you hadn't learned or something"
"Why are you such a pain in the ass?" Luc went on.
"Oh shush! I liked it better when you didn't talk." Sarah grinned. She actually liked this man standing before her. But nobody but her drak knew about that. What she didn't know, was that Luc was intrigued by her. He liked to know how people would act, think and do things, but she was always surprising.
"Have you noticed that we're alone, in a warm, dark cave..." Sarah said, her eyes twinkling softly in the torches light.
Luc held his head tilted to the left. "What are you planning to do?"
Sarah got closer and kissed his neck.
"Ahum!" Luc jumped up and looked at the outsider (you). You had been standing there for a little while, and thanks to the Mud drak, things didn't get out of hand.
"I'm so sorry." Luc looked angry at Sarah, but inside, he was quivering like a baby for candy.
"Are you here for one of our eggs?"
Sarah walked by Luc, whispered something in his ear, Luc turned bright red, and then walked sweetly towards you.
"How can I help you?"

Hatching Story

Sarah looked at the eggs. It hadn't taken as long as she had expected. Luc and she had been having so much fun, and now, it all was going to end very soon.
Aardenis nuzzled her rider. Sarah woke up from her daydream and looked at her bond.
"Their hatching.." Aardenis whispered
A second later, every aspirant was looking sheepishly towards the entrance of the deep cavern. Sarah hadn't known it had been rather late. She had found some aspirants at the bar, others had been sleeping, and one, an aspirant from earth called Merlijn had been deep in the desert. Exploring the crash site.

Sarah stood closely next to Luc. He had searched the best spot, next to the High Prince and Princess, so that they could watch their first hatching together.
Aardenis didn't take long before she and her little ones entered the cool atmosphere of a night in the desert of Icarus.
Sevlardu was standing next to Aardenis, and looked closely towards every movement.
Aardenis didn't wait for anything, she pushed forward her first drakling, and called its name. It was a water drak, pretty on her own way. Everything went silent when the little drak went towards the half circle of aspirants, and sat down gracefully.
'Xhyduis" Aardenis called. All aspirants looked closely to the youngster. But she didn't move. Then finally, gracefully she got up and walked slowly towards Laura.
"I'm going to take you." The drak pronounced, and nuzzled her rider.

Aardenis pushed her second drakling forward, this time a green, brown drak, better known as a forest drak. It was full of energy. Hopping, falling, running and even trying to fly, it went to the aspirants. It didn't take as long as her sister, The little forest hovered directly towards Ling.
"Will you be my bond? I like you!" The little drak spoke with her high voice to one of the circus-people. Ling grinned at her drak and said: "Of course!"
"Elzeduis" Aardenis said as both left.

Next up was a fire drak. His red was fierce, nobody had seen such bright colour yet, and it seemed to reflect the draks personality.
Striding like a true fire drak it went to the aspirants. The fire drak opened his mouth and showed his teeth. Then it went towards Veerle.
"if anybody tries, They'll have to go through me!"
Veerle arched her braw. She didn't really need protection, but hey.. The drak would find it out soon enough.
"Griïkisdu" Aardenis called.

Another water drak walked towards the remaining aspirants. It seemed as the drak was shivering. "Will you make me a sweater?" The female drak asked sweetly towards Louise "I'm cold.. It was so nice and warm inside my shell.."
"I don't think I can, but we'll see what we can do." Louise hugged the drak and looked at Aardenis.
"Vyreduis" The mother drak said.

Chelsay was looking at the hatching with mingled feelings. She had been in the bar, enjoying the newest edition of "fancy" when they had been called here. The warm sun of Savannah castle hadn't done her hair much good. And all the chores they had to do had ruined her perfectly manicured hands.
Why didn't the drak simply come to their bond from the moment they hatched? She wondered
"well that's simple.. I need the attention." A soft, but firm voice told  Chelsay.
"Bryduis" Aardenis called when the drak, a wind drak, had been getting loads of attention from her new bond.

Merlijn and Harvey, two brainiacs from Earth were the last remaining aspirants. Sarah had counted the eggs, and she had counted only 6. One of these men wouldn't bond tonight, or at least that was what she thought.
Aardenis pushed forward two little night draklings. One was male, the other female. Was it possible? Twins.. Sarah thought when she saw the two draks strode forward.
"It was nice spending so much time with you in our egg brother!" The female part said as she nuzzled her brother.
"Yes it has. Don't forget me."
"Never!'
The male part waited until the other part had bonded.
"Daiduis" Aardenis called when the female wobbled towards Harvey.
"Will you be my bond?"
Harvey pushed his glacces back and smiled at the drak. "Of course."
"Daiisdu" Aardenis called for one last time.
"It must be this ground. Because of the crash I mean..." Merlijn muttered to himself.
"It happens from time to time." The male drak Daiisdu said to his bond.
"Really? I must experiment.."
