The perfect complement to the staid, responsible Will, Grace is wild, free-spirited and occasionally flighty to a fault. The original Jewish fag hag with the big hair and the mouth. Running her chic interior design business takes up most of her time so Grace is pretty much dateless at most times too which doesn't bother her much as she can come straight home into the arms of her gorgeous, sexy and unattainably gay best friend.
With a mother like the irrepressible Bobbi Adler, no one could blame her for turning out the way she has. Flamboyant, sexy and more than ready to burst out into a showtune at the drop of a hat, the firecracker Bobbi obviously sets a standard that few can achieve and she finds her ultimate purpose in life by trying to upgrade Grace. Will likens the equally dramatic Grace to a hothouse flower.
Despite her flaws, Grace finds herself mired in a string of unsteady relationships. One would say that she already started out disastrously with a gay boyfriend, Will. The trend follows with a man left at the altar, a romance with Will's estranged brother, his boss and also his hunky shrink and an utterly unpresentable, slovenly neighbour.
The man literally flits from job to job - and lives off Will's refrigerator in the meantime. And bum that he is, he also manages to date every Tom, Dick, Harry and then some. Find out more about him at Jack
Grace's friend and assistant, Karen only works to while away the time - and to pass judgement over Grace's life. Married to the incredibly wealthy Stan, Karen has nothing to worry about except what colour of nail polish to put on every day. Of course all that moolah and all the caviar you can eat comes with a price - and that's a bunch of bratty kids that Karen simply doesn't care about - and occasionally doesn't even remember. Spoilt, beautiful and with a tongue sharp enough to slice even the two sarcastic gay men around her! What if she has the whiniest, loudest voice East of the Mississippi! Since the beginning, Karen and Will have hated each other's guts. Although they don't hate each other now, they can still barely tolerate each other with Karen treating Will as the lowliest help and calling him Wilma. After being hired as her lawyer, Will finds himself saddled with his most difficult client and frequently having to come to her beck and call despite his wishes.
