On the morning of Thursday, 16th August, 2001, a group including 150 young Aussie musos and a few parents and carers departed from Sydney International Airport, bound for Beijing, China. For the next week and a half we visited and played on the the Great Wall, rehearsed for and performed in the World University Games Opening Ceremony, did a LOT of shopping and ate disturbing amounts of rice, MSG and god knows what else....
Oh yeah, we had a damn good time too!!
