HE 162 A-2 Salamander

The Heinkel He 162 was a product of necessity - the necessity to produce a high performance fighter, using only one engine and non-essential materials. The aircraft had to be capable of rapid production with semi-skilled labour.The structure of the He 162 consisted of a monocoque light alloy fuselage, while wings and all moving surfaces were of wood, using a new bonding technique. The fuel tank was moulded integrally with the wing, specially impregnated to make it fuel tight. The wheels were retracted by a hydraulic system, and lowered by a spring system. This one of the better planes i have seen. *****

CFS2 Henschel Hs129 B-3

The German Hs129 B-3 was designed for a close air support role, mainly anti-tank. It was well armored and equipped with a 75mm cannon; the BK7,5. However, it suffered from poor handling, underpowered engines, and a lack of pilot vision. Includes original panel. By Scott Smiel. 1.1MB
