michael strickland

Michael played "Brad Nichlaus," a Sunset Beach lifeguard with a strong personal rivalry against both "Emily" and "Sean'" on SUNSET BEACH, the first daytime drama from executive producer Aaron Spelling.

Michael was born in San Diego, CA. however relocated soon after to Anchorage Alaska with his family. He has an older sister and brother, Denise and Steven. At the age of five he and his family moved again, only this time to Singapore. Michael's father was in the oil business, so they didn't stay in one place too long. Michael didn't mind this because he has been fortunate to travel to many exotic places; New Zealand, N. Africa and Tahiti. Lucky for him though his family settled down in Houston Texas long enough for him to attend all four years of High School in one place. While living in Singapore, Michael became involved in acting in plays and commercials for the American Embassy. However, it wasn't until he graduated high school that he decided he wanted to pursue acting full time. Michael attended the Academy of American Arts for two years. After those two years he stayed with the theatre company. He waited tables waiting for his big break.

Michael's first real break was a guest starring role on the popular show "ER". He played a fraternity boy who ended up in the emergency room on the coldest night of the year, undoubtly with no clothes on and extremely frost bitten. He then went on to guest star on "Murphy Brown," "Silk Stalkings," "USA High," and "Saved by the Bell." In the summer of 1998, Michael was cast in the recurring role of "Brad" on SUNSET BEACH. It wasn't long before the producers realized the talent Michael possessed and put him on contract.

Michael resides in the Los Angeles area. He spends most of his time away from the studio fixing up a house he purchased two years ago. Michael loves to play volleyball and tennis and loves to read classics. He has a girlfriend of three years and his birthday is June 8.
