Security Training Programs

Security Officers must maintain peak training
The following Holodeck programs must be passed off by the Chief of Security before an officer is endorsed.

Program Number Description Difficulty Evaluation Special/Notes
Program 1
Survival Training
This program is used to test the skill of the officer, to survive (with some given equipment, such as water skin and some food) in an unknown environment, while being pursued by computer generated enemies.

The program ends, once the officer reaches one of the supply depots or the safety mechanism terminates the program.

This program should train the user how to best survive in the wilderness and how to hide from enemies.

L1: normal climate, much equipment available, very few enemies, 5 supply depots
L2: warm climate, some equipment, few enemies, four depots
L3: subtropical climate, few equipment, some enemies, three depots
L4: tropical climate, very few equipment, many enemies, two depots
L5: very hot climate, no equipment, over 20 enemies, only one depot
The computer records the difficulty level, elapsed time, number of enemies defeated, end program condition. This program's safety mechanism can't be removed.

Should the user be in a condition that would threaten his/her life, the program terminates immediately
to prevent the user from harm.

Program 2
Phaser Range
The program creates holographical targets, that appear at random in the distance. Shooting at these moving targets is a test of proficiency with phaser hand weapons.

The program improves the accuracy and reactions of the user.

The difficulty level only affects the rate of the appearing targets. The range is 1 to 10. The computer records the difficulty level, elapsed time, hit ratio. The program also provides the phasers, so there is no need to bring real phasers to the holodeck. The program can also be used as a 'two player' game, where the goal is to get more hits that the opponent.
Program 3
Hand to Hand Combat
The program creates holographical targets, that appear at random in close range. The holo-enemies will be armed with random hand to hand weapons.

The program improves the enemy reactions with each user.

The difficulty level only affects the rate of the appearing targets. The range is random from 1 - 10 Meters.

At Level 1-3 the user may select his/her weapon of choice.
At Level 4-6 the computer randomly selects a weapon for the user.
At Level 7-10 the user is unarmed.
The computer records the difficulty level, and elapsed time. The program can also be used as a 'two player' game against another live opponent.
