November 2001: Just incase not everyone here monitors the aus.radio.scanner newsgroup - there is talk about Uniden having a Digital Capable Scanner available for release within 12 months :-)
July 2001: SMR frequency reshuffle has taken place in regard to some repeater sites... I would like to hear from anyone with any different SMR Police frequencies heard in their area.
Some more Police "stuff", I have had reports that Police SMR radios that are fitted in their vehicles are able to function as a repeater for portable units... sounds like a good idea to me, we all know how scratchy they can be sometimes. Especially when they are shielded from the repeater location. - copied from Information
March 2001: Nothing To Report Of
January 2001:
December 11th: Sounds to be

October 1st: Mt. Warrenheip is back on air, I have also had reports that there is a new SMR Police frequency which blasts into Ballarat, it is 163.6125MHz
Chubb and MDT's, recently while in
Melbourne I noticed a Chubb Security van, with something which
looked like a Motorola MDT installed. Is anyone able to confirm
any voice frequencies which are used by Chubb, or provide any
information on the MDT's.
I have a list of frequencies which were sent to me some time ago,
but I have not been able to confirm these frequencies. Click Here To View

September 2nd: I have had reports that the Mt. Warrenheip M-District (VKC Ballarat) repeater has been turned off. It might be due to interference being caused by other SMR frequencies from the Horsham area. Telstra & DNRE have been heard on Victoria Police allocated frequencies in this area. I am interested in any further information if you are able to help, please e-mail me.
