RALPH'S RETCH 3 oz Box of strawberry Jello 40 Ice cubes 2 cans (12 oz) strawberry soda Mixing bowl Shallow 9x12 pan Butter knife Blender Spoon Tall glasses Iced tea spoons Prepare jello according to package directions. Pour into shallow pan and chill until firm, about 3 hours. Using a dull knife, make as many cuts as possible across the length and width, forming tiny cubes. Grind ice cubes in a blender. Spoon alternating layers of crushed ice and gelatin pieces into tall glasses, filling them about 2" away from tops. Slowly pour soda into each glass unti lfull, then stir gently. Serve retch with ice tea spoons, so your guests can get at every chilly glob Food Suggestion Almost any cooked food can look like puke if you grind it for a few seconds in a blender. And it makes for a tasty sandwich spread! From the Book: Gross Grub by Cheryl Porter Witch's Brew Recipe By Sue Klapper 3 pints purple grape juice 1 1/2 pints club soda grapes apples Mix the grape juice and soda in a pitcher. Halve the grapes and take out the seeds. Cut the apple into small chunks. Float the fruit in the brew just before serving; by magic, the grapes and apples will look just like eyes and teeth. Adult's Witch's Brew 36 ounces Unsweet apple juice concent - thaw, undiluted 5 cups Water 4 Vodka 1/2 cup Lime juice 1/2 gallon Lime sherbet - softened 8 cups Club soda - chilled Combine apple juice, water, vodka, and lime juice in a large bowl. Cover and chill. Just before serving, spoon sherbet into a large punch bowl; slowly pour apple juice mixture and club soda over sherbet, stirring gently. Wormy Baked Apples 6 lg Golden Delicious apples 1/2 cup *each* raisins and chopped walnuts 1/2 cup Firmly packed brown sugar 1/4 cup Water 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter/margarine 1/2 tsp*each* ground cinnamon and ground nutmeg 6 Wiggly candy worms ("Gummy Worms") 1 cup Whipping cream - optional Instructions Core apples from blossom ends, leaving stem ends intact. Mix raisins and walnuts and stuff into cavities of cored apples. Set apples, stems up in a 7x12-inch pan. In a 1 to 2 quart pan, mix brown sugar, water, butter,cinnamon, and nutmeg; stir over high heat until mixture boils. Pour hot syrup around apples. Bake, uncovered, in 350~ oven, basting occasionally with syrup, until apples are tender when pierced and skin begins to crack, 30 to 35 minutes. Remove apples from oven; cool in pan at least 10 minutes or let cool to room temperature. Set each apple in a small bowl and spoon syrup around fruit. In the top of each apple, cut a hole large enough for one of the candy worms and tuck one end into each apple, leaving most of the worm dangling. Offer cream to pour over apples. Makes 6 ghastly servings. ADULT'S TANTE'S BOOZE CAKE 1 pk Orange Supreme Cake Mix 1 pk Instant vanilla pudding 1/2 cup Oil 4 Eggs 1/2 cup Orange juice 1/4 cup Galliano liqueur 3/4 cup Vodka Lightly grease and flour a 10" spring form pan. Mix all the ingredients together in a mixer until well blended. Pour into the pan and bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes. Let cool on a rack for 25 minutes before removing from the pan. NOTE: This makes a great adult Halloween cake. Frost with orange cream cheese frosting and decorate like a jack-o-lantern. And it is EASY! Dracula's Blood Punch Mix equal parts of apple juice, cranberry juice & ginger ale. Infectous Fluid Frappe 8 Maraschino cherries 1 quart Eggnog 3 ounces Box lime jello Nutmeg 8 small Dessert glasses Chop the cherries into small bits. Pour the eggnog and jello powder into a blender. Blend for one minute or until jello is completely dissolved and the eggnog is a uniform gangrenous green color. Pour the green ooze into eight glasses. Drop cherry chunk blood clots on top of each and sprinkle with powdered plasma (nutmeg). Serves 8 wittle wound wuvers. From the Book: Gross Grub by Cheryl Porter Adult Nuclear Waste 1 measure blue curacao 1 measure Bailey's Irish Cream top up with one pint cider - (or lager if you prefer) The end result is a sort of greenish-brown liquid with scummy bits floating in it and a THICK layer of scum on top. Tastes wonderful, though. Another Version of Nuclear Waste Mix blue curacao and orange juice (and vodka). Turns everything a very nice shade of fluorescent green. Graveyard Pudding Dessert Recipe By Jello 3 1/2 cups cold milk 2 packages (4 serv size) chocolate instant pudding 1 tub (12 oz.) whipped topping - thawed 1package (16 oz.) chocolate sandwich cookies - crushed Decorations Rectangular-shaped cookies, decorator icings candy corn candy pumpkins Pour milk into large bowl. Add pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk or electric mixer on lowest speed 2 minutes or until blended. Gently stir in whipped topping and 1/2 of the crushed cookies. Spoon into 13x9 inch dish. Sprinkle with remaining crushed cookies. Refrigerate 1 hour or until ready to serve. Decorate rectangular shaped cookies with icing to make tombstones. Stand tombstones on top of dessert with candies to resemble a graveyard. Makes 15 servings. No-Bake Pumpkin Pie Fast, easy , low cal , low sugar, low fat! 1 Keebler reduced fat graham cracker crust Mix together until smooth 1 cup cold skim milk 1 - 16 oz can 2 small pkgs Jello INSTANT sugar free vanilla pudding 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves Spoon into crust. Refridgerate for 5 hours until set. Serve with Low/No Fat Cool Whip THREE WEEK OLD" LEFTOVERS Ingredients 2 boxes of macaroni and cheese, 1 package of Raman noodles, green food coloring Follow the directions to make the macaroni and cheese. Add Raman noodles but don't add powder. Add green food coloring drops until food looks "moldy. Add to your Mac & Cheese. Great for gross outs at your party! Pumpkin Milkshake Ingredients milk, ice cream, canned pumpkin, orange food coloring, a blender, & a spoon. Directions First get the ice cream and put it in the blender, then put in the pumpkin (You could also put in a bit of orange food coloring). Mix thoroughly until orange and smooth. Then refrigerate it for about a half hour. Then get a glass, pour and enjoy! Eyeball Jell-o You Need An Ice cream scooper, frozen whip cream, frozen blueberries, strawberry Jell-O. Make the strawberry Jell-O according to the package. Get two scoops of frozen whip cream with the ice cream scooper and put them in a bowl. Next you put one blueberry on each scoop (for the pupil of the eye). Then you put the Jell-O in the rest of the bowl around the "eye" and let it sit in the refrigerator for about two hours. A Serving Suggestion You'll need any kind or orange soda or beverage and any kind of black or dark beverage (dark cola for instance), Or you can put black food coloring in water too. Pour the dark or black beverage into an ice cube tray then, after it freezes, take the black ice cubes out and put them in the orange beverage...now..you have a cool Halloween colored beverage for your punch bowl. WITCHES BREW What you need an iron kettle, 10 gallons of water, 5 pounds of sugar, a bottle of root beer extract, 15 pounds of dry ice, and a clean wooden broom handle. Mix water, sugar, and extract in kettle. Add dry ice, and stir with broom handle. Watch in wonder as it bubbles & steams like a real witches brew. Serve by person dressed as a witch. CHEESE EYEBALLS 2 cups grated Cheddar 1/2 cup butter 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon paprika 1 cup flour 6 ounce bottle pimento-stuffed green olives Combine cheese and butter. Add salt, paprika, and flour and mix well. Measure approximately one ts of this mixture and form an "eyeball" around an olive. Turn the olive in the "eyeball" so that it is "staring" outward. Line up the eyeballs on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 400F oven for 15 minutes. GNARLED WITCHES FINGERS Good for Part of a Main Course 1 Tsp. vegetable oil 4 boneless chicken breasts 1 cup flour 1 egg, beaten 1 cup bread crumbs (or Shake & Bake) Pitted black olives, halved lengthwise Shredded lettuce Grease cookie sheet with oil, set aside. Carefully cut chicken breasts part way to create five "fingers" (the uncut part will be the palm of the hand). Slice them a little crooked for effect. Dust in flour, dip in egg, coat in bread crumbs, broil 5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Trim the tips with the olive fingernails and serve on lettuce. |
