TO YOUNG (TO DIE)
© Michaela

Why am I once more crying
these tears today,
It's not fair I tell you.
You shouldn't have died.
It's way before your time.

Once more I never got to say good-bye.
Why?
Why couldn't you have waited
just a few more minutes,
Until I got there to be by your side.

I'd so much left to say to you,
But now how can I?
You're gone.
Hopefully some where nice.
But still, it's far from I.

These tears continue to flow,
not letting up.
Once more I must weep, mourn.
To salute you ... your incredibly short life.
Good-bye, farwell!

May you rest in peace.
Watch over me,
Keep me safe.
Stop me from making many mistakes.
Be there in my times of defeat and so to triumphs.

This one was inspired by those I have lost in the past :(, and also it was written during the first half of the wonderful Sir Peter Blake memorial service (a tribute of his remarkable life and fantastic achievements) which was held up in Auckland, New Zealand and screened on the television to the rest of the country.

Boy, it sure was amazing how the words just flowed from pen to paper that day!!!
