What is SCC? Message from the webmaster
        Welcome dear
        international visitor to this site!
If you already are a SCC
fan, then congratulations, you´ll enjoy this site.
If not, I wish this pages will turn your attention
towards one of the most charming football club
in Portugal. The SCC (Sporting Clube da Covilha) was in
former times one of the top clubs in
Portugal, specially in the decade of ´50. Located in
Covilha, an industrial city (textil, clothes)
in the slopes of beautiful "Serra da Estrela"
near the border of Spain, now the club is trying to
leave the "2ª Divisao B" in order to reach the
" II Liga" for the next season. A hard work in
        fact,
because only the leader of this division have that
        possibility.
        And I´ll tell you more.
I´m a fan of portuguese football. Has a "touch of
class" like no other in Europe.
Is pure football. If you haven´t yet experienced
the exciting sensation of hear a "relato dos
        jogos"
any sunday evenning via radio, then you don´t know what
        football is .. ;))
Is no wonder that in Japan there are many fans of
portuguese football and even has been published
a book in japanese about this. Names like Figo, Rui
Costa, Nuno Gomes, Pauleta and many
others are stars of this amazing game.
If you are interested in know more about portuguese
football, visit my page about this subject in www.oocities.org/tribunaportugal . I´ll try to build up more sites
like this devoted to other clubs.
And what about a on-line fan club of SCC? Contact me if
        you are interested.

THE 2ª DIVISAO B 2001-02 SEASON. Comments by the
        webmaster
        After the first 19
matches, a close fight is envolved between SCC
        whose declared target is to
win the division- and other clubs of great history and
tradition like Feirense, Académico de Viseu,
Sanjoanense, and two surprising clubs, the Sp. Pombal and
        the sensational Odivelas a little
club of the surroundings of Lisbon that 2 seasons ago was
        in "distrital" division-.
        You can have the ultimate
on-line news about the club and his matches by reading
        the local
newspaper "Urbi et Orbi" on-line: www.urbi.ubi.pt
