Romans 8:30

Those whom God predestined, God also called
Those whom God called, God also justified
Those whom God justified, God also glorified

Many read this passage as;
God has already chosen whom He wanted to save,
Humankind does not have a say.
I am not much of a theologian
So bear with me for what I have to say.

Humankind is quite strange,
They wanted a clown for a God.
How can I believe in Him,
    Unless He proved His existence?
How am I to know He is true,
    Unless He passed certain tests?
They will go to all extremes,
    Seeking to humiliate God.

They never research the technology of driverless train
Yet they are comfortable traveling in the train
Even though trains have clashed before.

They lived generations after generations
20 to 30 stories up in the sky
None saw the need to study architecture
Or mechanical engineering before doing so.
Even though buildings have collapsed time and time again.

They sometimes found it hard
To decide on which suit or dress to wear in the morning
Or the tie or shoes to go with them.
At lunch time they even have problem
Deciding on what to eat that day.
Yet they deemed themselves qualified
To decide if God qualified to be God.

I truly admit I have no logical proof;
    That there is a God
    Or my God is true.

I can only tell you, as long as He wants me,
I would grabbed the God sent opportunity.
Many gods will just issued oracles;
    precepts, tenets and principles
So that there can be peace on earth
My God did that too
But He knows humankind are just mortals
So He came and died for me.

Also He is not the God of afterlife
For day in, day out
He shown me kindness and patience
He fed me and clothed me
He provided me shelter and shown me life is worth living
And there is goodness in everyone.

He is making everyone the same offer, He made me.
If you want to ask Him for His credentials and resumes,
Then you are predestined not to be chosen.

He has this funny method of choosing
    Even a simpleton qualifies
All you need to know is that you are not god
And you can only enter His gate
    If you bear His name.

The line is not to separate the good from the bad,
    But how troublesome you are.
He does not want the system we left behind
When we escape into His domain.
Up there no one questions His authority
For they all have learned to accept Him as God
    Through good times and bad.
If you have no problem believing
When you cannot not see Him
You will definitely not have the problem
When you rest in His glory.
For it is heaven which will come down on earth
And not earth rises up to heaven.
