Lady in Red
(Mulder pov)

I lay on a liner ship
Waiting for the unknown
Seeing all these familiar faces
Realizing they aren’t who they seem

I walk into the ballroom
Trying to hide from others
When I see you
Then everyone disappears

You are so beautiful
Shining like a golden star
In your beautiful red dress
That matches your beautiful red hair
You are definitely the lady in red

I've never seen you like this
You take my breath away
Dancing with another man
When I believe that you should be
Dancing with me
And no one else

Shots fire out
And they take me into custody
Demanding answers
When all I can do is look at you

You defend me like always
Claiming that you are what they need
Just like my Scully would have done

I convince them that I have what they want
Saying anything
Fighting with them
Little did they know that they had a bigger fight ahead of them

I escape
Begging you to come with me
Pathetic as always
Needing you
Asking for your help

You don't believe me

When I think that I might never see you again
The thought is unbearable
Moving closer, our lips meet
My whole body was on fire
Wanting you
Needing you
To take you in my arms and to never let go

You slap me
Realizing that you are not my Scully
Not my lady in red
My lifeline

You are just a vision of her

And when I said those three little words
At the hospital
She thought that I was drugged
Little did she know that I meant them
With all my heart and soul

I am head over heels in love with her
And she has no idea that I feel this way

I will always feel that way about my Scully
No matter how much I act like I don't
I always will
Loving her is as easy as breathing

She will always be my life
My love
My partner
My lady in red

Forever

Author Notes

“Lady in Red” was written a day or so after it first aired on FOX.  I just thought that the episode was soooo cool.  The title is actually a title of an 80’s song called Lady in Red.  I thought the title was fitting for this poem.
