hana chan is really into her "ring around the rosie" and "out of the box" tunes these days...she is putting together 2 and 3 word sentences with ease lately, and loves to fire off the english and japanese vocabulary in quick succession. above are shots of hana and her mommy at beverly center and of hana dressed up as minnie mouse in preparation for next month's birthday trip to disneyland! yeah!!!

well, we found out that hana chan's future sibling will be a boy, and so we are busy going over potential names. we also learned that as far as the amnio is concerned, the baby is normal, so we are quite relieved. here is a shot of hana running on the lawn at grandpa and grandma's house, happy as a lark.






hana had a good time over the weekend with her auntie akemi, who was down from seattle. and next month, her grandpa and grandma have given her an early birthday surprise: a trip to disneyland!!! wow...we all can't wait! on saturday, hana had to endure the norton simon museum with her papa and mama, as she spent the whole time ignoring masterpieces and singing japanese nursery rhymes...the second photo is hana doing her best impression of natasha kinski.

hana just loves playing with her friends heela and imbal at west hollywood park! they just run and run and run, chasing after each other all around the nice little park. hana is really starting to string two and three word sentences together these days. some examples: "papa isshou" (together with papa), "be care hana" (warns herself when doing dangerous things she knows she shouldn't be doing), "gomi bye bye" (bye bye, mr. trash ... said as she throws bags of trash down the trash chute - another recent activity she has taken a liking to, going with papa down the hall on a nightly basis).
