ABOUT
About Scott
Resume
Elona (Part Two)

Bright blue eyes that see nothing
A laugh of emptiness
Tossed hair bounces so freely
As the clock overhead ticks loudly
Drawing out the inconsequential details of daily life
In a monotonous backbeat

Like Helen ten years after
I suppose you're cracked and broken
Never more than a frozen image
On a cloudy day
Frozen tableau of an English class
Which at least one of us has forgotten
Can't trap the past in glass
Or on the pages of a book
After all

Forget it all!

Even dreams get old and worn out
And their lustre fades
What was so great about them in the first place?

Back then my blood was warm enough
To be boiled by a cute face
And a page-boy haircut
And a pair of blue eyes
Now there's ice in my blood
The kind you need to get through life
A river of molten slush
Like a star is about to collapse into a supernova
Which will radiate forevermore in the nighttime sky
Broadcasting memories of the past into the universe
The truth is not in a girl's face
Or in the ships going to war after a brief glimpse
The truth is in a sleepless night
And the depths of mind which chase after the light
Guides and signs to mislead and blind
Even the most earnest and innocent light can deceive
But would I have had the nerve to read
"La Belle Dame Sans Merci"
If you had not moved away?

Good thing you were gone
Forever like a ghost in the night
