ABOUT
About Scott
Resume
Inside My Mind

So dark and so far away from home
Always in the dark and always alone
Themes begin to emerge in a minor key
About the past and what it means to me

From such emptiness no answer comes back
Just a void instead of the humanity I lack
A pointless life about to cease forever
My silver cord is about to sever
And my golden bowl will break and shatter
The ghosts around me all will scatter

Are they afraid tonight?

Run! Ghosts, run! Flee the scene
I think I'll rip out a primal scream
Touch the hurt and let it heal
Never mind how I feel

Tight spaces of night close in
Dark in here under the trees
The air is getting heavy
Neurons fire in the breeze

Blow! Wind, blow! Never get away
Blowing out the candles in my mind
I can never escape what's inside
I always look back at what's behind

A tree limb cracks under the windy pressure
Slight shadows creep under scant cover
The moon explodes and smears across the sky
Pale light bathes the washed out world
Shrapnel of lost tranquility descends
No birds sing
Graveyards sink under the weight of fallen moonbeams
Moss and musty old trailers

I wait all alone
Where have the ghosts gone?
