Don't have too many pics of the exterior yet.. It looks pretty good, but has an Earl Scheib special paint job that was laid on way too heavy. A complete strip and refinish will be in order this winter.
It had a louver on the back that screwed into the hatch, and dark tinted headlight covers that screwed into the coves in the front. Patching up the aftermath of these messes will also be a job for the body shop.
In all, though, it is in excellent shape - the reason I bought it. These cars are notorious for (terminal, if not caught in time) rust in certain areas. Those include the frame rails, wheel well behind the battery box, inside the lip of the hatch and hood, as well as above/behind the wheel wells. This car had no real bad signs of the 'cancer' in any of these areas, with the possible exception of the LR quarter panel, which has Bondo above the wheel. (I have purchased a new OEM replacement QP for this corner -Ebay steal!).
The wheels are one of a kind, I'm certain. This is the one mod the previous owner made that I really like. They are factory six spokes which he had chromed, then had someone fabricate thin gold inserts which fit into each of the six slots. I'm gonna hate to take 'em off when I upgrade to larger diameter rims, but I plan to hold onto them. (Think they'd look killer on a 240Z!)
I don't take responsibility for the "Turbo Action" tires, either.. hehe Another of the previous owner's additions. Just can't justify replacing them since I plan to get new rims at the end of this year. (they'll get me through one summer!) :-)
