To My Friends and the Class of 95 and 96

This is it guys!

I know it's not exactly IT for me but it feels like it. It's been a great 5 years here at this school, it will be six years for me, and it's all finally coming to an end. I still remember my first day here like if it was just yesterday. It was only 8 o'clock in the morning when I moved in into what I'd call home for the next two years. For most of us it was our first time away from home, in a strange place that soon became comfortably familiar. We were just kids back then, with lots of dreams and hopes. Just because we were in College now, we were suppose to behave like adults and most people expected that from us, but the truth of the matter was that we were still the same people that we were a couple of months back in High School. But we all survived the sometimes straining college life, the hectic dorm life and most importantly, the cafeteria food.

One day we woke up to realize that we weren't kids anymore and soon the first co-op was knocking on our door, and everything changed.

- "Oh boy how exciting, real world here I go!"

Well, co-op wasn't that hard really and what we called real world became a habit. Months went by, then years. New friendships were created and some just didn't work out.
What used to be a large group of scared college freshman let loose in the city, grew up to be a small group of very close friends. We all got to know each other very well, we loved each other, and we even hated others. Some grew together to form great friendships, and others just grew apart and went their separate ways. But whether we loved or hated, the good and the bad memories were carved forever in our memories and will always be remebered with unmeasurable pleasure, pride and joy.

Who has forgotten the crazy late nights and having to get up early the next morning? Who doesn't remember the delicious cafeteria brownies or gourmet-raw catch of the day? - No, it wasn't sushi! Or the hoozeball games and the first time you couldn't remeber why you woke up in the bathtub with lays around your neck? Remember all the move-in, move-out and 'I am here' procedures. Remember the lines at Lane and the menu board in the cafeteria. Remember the Pizza boxes, beer and soda cans, traffic signs, and the Linguini. "Once, twice, three times a lady...", remember Spanky, come-in-for-free, Heather-ho, and the big nasty D. Remember Diane and Charlie Brown. All the pool games, the air shaft, and the broken sprinkle. Remember the Training Crew meetings and all the soccer games. Remember the road trips, the jams and the Christmas parties. Remember the Newport, Vermont and NewHampshire road trips. Remember your first apartment, the BBQ's on the roof, and the sunny afternoons in the Fens.

It will be a while until we forget that unique Bahston accent. Remember Cheeas Last Call, Fenway Pahk and the memorable Boston Gahden. Remember Larry Bird, Reggie Lewis, and the NU hockey games. Remember the 4th of July, the Hatch Shell, and the Boston Pops. What about that wicked weead beach called Reveah, wheah the whatta scahs the hell outta me? And that wicked pissa building called the PRU that often helped us find our way home.

Remember Cappys and NanLing at 3 o'clock in the morning. Remember Our House and Maxwells at 11 o'clock in the morning. Remember roller blading by the Christian Science pool and along the Charles. Remember a freezing cold NewYear's Eve and all the Boston hot and muggy summer nights.

Remember guys night out, all you can eat ribs, and Thursday night TV. What about the professahs and T.A's? Remember Michael Lipton ,Lieberherr, and Perrole. And what about Proulx, Fell, and Casey? Remember your first co-op meeting with Melvin Sims, your co-op jobs and the old Corvus system that nowadays only serves as a plant stand. Remember C.E. homework with snow up to our knees on a no-school day. Remember the loud neighbors and the psycho ex-significant others.

I could go on and on, it was a great 5 years that soon will come to an end. Whoever you are and whatever you decide to do I just want to wish every single one of you the best of luck out there. I'll hang around for a little while you know, someone has to stay and tell the younger ones how great the class of '95 was. And besides, if it's really that though out there, like some say it is, maybe I'll decide to stay around here a while longer, who knows *sigh*

Hey! Now that you have a degree, what are you going to do? Disney World?
Whatever it is boys and girls, you'll always have the memories. Remember the laughs, remember the tears. Remember all the fun we've had for years.

HAVE A GOOD LIFE...
