Animated Background

example

Take a seamless backgroundgraphic that would look nice as an underwater or desertlike(heatwave)animation and open it in psp. Open your layerpallette and rightclick on your background there and then duplicate your image,do this twice so you have 3 of the same images. Now leftclick on the first so it is selected in your layerpallette and do effects-geometric effects-wave(image-deformations-wave in psp 6) with these settings;
Horizontal displacement:
Amplitude:2
Wavelength:50 to 75(see what looks best with your picture, 75 gives longer waves(i used 50 for my animation)
Vertical displacement:
Amplitude:2
Wavelength:1
Now press ok.
For the second layer you do the same only the amplitude of your horizontal displacement changes to 4,the rest stays the same. For the third layer same thing but now use 3 instead of 4. Then make sure all your layers are visible (no crosses on your spectacles!!)
An save your image as a psp-file.
Now open animationshop and do:file -open-open your graphic.
Go to;view-animation to see a preview of your animation.If you don't like the speed it you can adjust that like this;
edit-select all and rightclick on a frame of your animation and choose proporties,then you see a number you can change,the higher the number the slower your animation will be.
After you've changed it you can view it again by doing;view-animation, if you are satisfied with it ;save as;,give it a name,put it in a folder and follow the instructions on the screens,on the first screen you get is a switch where you can adjust it to make it smaller with less quality..if you're using a rather large graphic please set it at level 2 or 3,or it will get very large. Then you're backgroundanimation is finished and you're ready to put it in your stationery=o)
Happy creating!!
