About Mrs. Gamin


 

 

Career and Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Music Education (summa cum laude) from Case Western Reserve University.
  • M.A in Music Education from Case Western Reserve University.
  • Began playing violin at age 7 and was playing professionally by age 16.
  • Plays violin, viola, cello, bass, and piano.
  • Has served as Assistant Conductor of the Case Western Reserve University Orchestra.
  • Received conservatory training at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
  • Worked as string coach for the Cleveland Music School Settlement Youth Orchestras from 1998-2002.
  • Has been Director of Elementary Orchestras for Strongsville City Schools since 1997.
  • Teaches String Methods to Music Education majors at Baldwin-College (Adjunct Faculty Lecturer, 2007 – present). 

 

Fun Facts About Mrs. Gamin:

  • Grew up in Charleston, West Virginia.
  • Has a younger sister and brother.
  • Married to Kevin Gamin.
  • Spends spare time practicing violin, reading, watching baseball, enjoying family time, and cycling. 
  • Favorite color: blue, or anything bright and vibrant.
  • Pets:  two cats, Lando and Leia (see Lando below.  He either LOVES or HATES the violin, I’m not sure which.)
