Tika

Tika marinade, you can stick just about anything in this and it'll taste superb!!

Ingredients
Something to marinade
Chicken / Lamb / Fish.. you name it!!

2 tblsp natural yoghurt

 

2 fresh chillies

finely chopped
2 garlic cloves

finely chopped

2 tablespoons olive oil

 

1 tblsp tomato purée

 
1/2 fresh lime

juiced

1 tblsp fresh coriander leaves
finely chopped 

2 tblsp tandoori curry powder

 

1/2 teasp garam masala 

 

Pinch of salt

to taste.

Tips.
You can add food colouring to make this really red... but I reckon go for can tin of beetroot juice in water... just use the juice.. it's very red.. and put the beetroot in a salad... Red wine makes a darker, fruitier tika..  

Method

i)     Put what you want to marinade to one side.. 

ii)    Chuck the rest in a bowl and mix it up good..!!!

iii)   Put what you want to marinade into the bowl with the marinade.. (?!)

iv)   Mix it up good...! Put it in the fridge and leave for 24 - 48 hours

v)    Stick it on skewers, and grill / bake / barbie until cooked
