This tightly
coiled Indian basket was found in the south Jersey area 18 1/2"
diameter 7" high.

1850's
The basket origin is the
Great Basin, Nevada; the Washo-Paiute people. Best guess is that
is was made by a woman named Tootsy Dick Sam who died in 1928.The
construction is called 1-rod coiled (the design is woven onto
that) and it is made of willow. The design is probably either
redbud or mountain birch. She is known to have used the diamond
pattern. Some of her work is in the Peabody museum, Harvard University.
The value has been determined to be between
$800.00 and $1,000.00

bags from the 1800's.
To the left is an African basket 6"diameter 5 1/2"
high from 1920s. Then a small hand made basket 1906 3 3/4 x 1
1/4.

This is a wicker sewing basket
with cover 1900, belonged to My Great Great Grandmother. She
received it as a wedding present in 1900.

This old frame with glass holds
Hair from many relatives, (with list of RULON names) made into a flower
pattern. It dates back to the early 1800's and has some veneer
chips in the wood.
