SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 1ST, 1997 -- SDMH SEVENTH ANNIVERSARY PARTY
Venue: ASW Base Marina

Dress to impress was definitely the byword. Our intrepid
decorators did Spiderwomen-like quick changes after glamorizing
the party room. Sisters Superior HUSTLER and SOGGY BUNS looked
very glam too! (Special thanks to STICKY FINGERS who decorated
and couldn't stay.) Cook DOGFISH even wore a shirt! COCKEYE,
DEEP THROAT and others wore their respective versions of Black
Tie. Just what was RAT doing with his tail all evening? As
suave and debonair as the Harriers looked, they were outdone by a
bevy of the SDM Harriettes themselves.
IMPY almost got SDMH hash-shit for life by forgetting the
jockey box. Despite frantic and dogged pumping, the beer flowed
ever so slowly. Eventually IMPY returned with the much awaited
equipment. Several of the thirsty throng finally got the beer to
a somewhat freely flowing state after some tinkering and requests
for tools. Just what did happen at IMPY's birthday bash?
The food was great and plentiful. Thanks to the cooks
(COCKEYE, DOGFISH, PROZAC and any I've forgotten to name). On
the potluck side, we out did ourselves with the side dishes and
desserts.
In between refreshements, we hit the dance floor. Nice
Assets arranged for a DJ (our own Flash was unavailable)
specially imported from LA. (She said something about cashing in
favors, but refused to divulge more.)
	Out-going and in-coming mis-management was dishonored with
non-beer down-downs, due to repair of the beer flow at the
crucial time. The new and continuing are listed on the masthead.
Something about we have to do it until we get it right. Thanks
to SOGGY BUNS for two years penance as Sister Superior and prior
servitude in other Missionary Positions. Now she can retire to
take care of her two children, ATHENA and PAY PER SCREW. Also
thanks to QUACK IN THE BUSH for her sentence as Sister of Hare
Ascensions.
Everyone seemed to have a great time. Thanks to all who
helped organize this. Thanks also to LICKIT who laid his naval
reserve career on the line by reserving the marina.
