An Untold Tale

Prologue

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, lived a beautiful princess. One day when the sun was shinning, the birds were singing merrily and the flowers were blooming, the princess took a walk in the garden and…

Wait… This is another story…

Ahem… This is the actual one to tell.

Once upon a time, in a faraway enchanted forest, there was a beautiful fox. Instead of being reddish copper brown like the others, this fox was white and snowy with hints of raven black and even less copper red on its ears and head. Needless to say, it was beautiful. It was a lonely fox, poor thing. Its parents and sibling, all copper red, were killed by men.

***FLASHBACK***

In foxy language. “Ah! No! Don’t kill me! I’m only a pitiful fox with many children and a wife to feed!” Of course, to men, it only sounded like pathetic howls and whimpering… And thus, the whole family of foxes was killed, except for this little baby fox, who was mistaken for a stinky skunk due to the unique colors.

***END OF FLASHBACK*** So this fox bounced happily, throwing back all the unhappy memories of the past and…

Apologies. I mean…

So this fox trudged away sadly, hoping to forget all the unhappy memories of the past. It was just feeling hungry at that particular time and started to hunt for food. It did find some soon and gobbled the whole carcass down in seconds. And then, typically, it went to sleep.

And not far away, three evil witches were stirring their cauldron going, “Double double, toil and trouble, fire burns and cauldron bubbles…” And they threw many unholy things into the cauldron.

The witches from Shakespeare’s Macbeth had came to the enchanted forest.

And once again, they were in search of victims.

So the nearby little black and white fox woke up when it heard the chanting and woke up, howling, “Who dares disturb my sleep will not be forgiven!” So it, following its sharp nose and etc, went in search of the owners of those incredibly screechy horrible voices.

The nearer he got to the cauldron and the witches, the louder the voice. In fact, it was so incredibly screechy that the little fox used its paws to cover its little pair of black ears.
“Who are the owners of this terrible voices would you stop chanting all those dumb things? You are disturbing my sleep and you shall be punished!” It howled.

And of course the witches were incredibly shocked by the howling. Although they could not understand the words, they could identify the rudeness in it. And they were happy.

Their new victim had came.

The three witches quickly left their cauldron aside and went in search of the fox and caught it by its neck…

…No, they did not do that.

The three witches quickly left their cauldron alone and went in search of the fox, bending all low with smiles on their faces, going
“Koochi koochi little fox! Jump into granny’s arms so that we can brush your little copper red fur!”

The little fox stared up at the three witches who finally found it and howled softly.
“Ugly…”

The witches could not made up what he howled so simply ignored it. And they decided to turn the little fox into a human - a being that the fox hated as they killed his family.

And they told him.
“So you can destroy the mankind to get revenge.”

The little fox was not even given time to react when they started fussing over his fur and such, here and there. The three witches then decided to name the fox after them. And in case you did not know, their names were Ru - The shortest with a long pointed nose with pimples on it -, Ka - Just look at those teeth… there was even spinach stuck between them - and Wa -The better looking of the bunch, just that she had only one eye. So the fox was named Rukawa… after some struggles from the fox to indicate, “No way, dream on.”

And Ru said, “You are a fox!”

And Ka said, “You are a human being so, by the name of Rukawa!”

And Wa said, “And following after, a basketball star!”

And at once, Wa was questioned by the other two on “Why a basketball star?”, “Why not a nude model?”
“How about an ugly principle?”
“Nono…should be a female prostitute!”
and…
“Baka! It’s a male! Didn’t you see those cute male organ there?”
And they settled, finally, for a basketball star.

So they placed a perfect maple leaf on the fox’s forehead.

Perfect lollipop pink swirls with pretty yellow and blue sparks burst from the leaf, not shocking nor surprising the little baby fox, but scaring the three witches, who went screaming and hiding behind the bushes.
“What the hell are those sparkly dots!”

And after this doodling, that doodling and errors in magic and blah blah etc stuff, the fox finally transformed into a beautiful naked being by the name of Rukawa. Raven mop of hair covered the top of the head, and his skin was smooth, pale and perfect. The three witches, Ru, Ka and Wa, drooled at what their magic had produced and realized what they had forgotten to do. Give him a first name.

So Ru croaked, “He will be Ru Rukawa.”

But Ka disagreed and said coarsely, “He should be Ka Rukawa.”

Yet, Wa protested, “Kaede Rukawa…the leaf we used was a kaede leaf.”

And once again, the other two witches somewhat screamed at her for such a name.
“Why not Rukawa Rukawa?”
“I told you it should be Ka Rukawa!”
“Hey! Its unfair!” Etc.

And so, this was the story of how the baby fox was changed into Kaede Rukawa, the beautiful being.

The story after was not as simple…
