An Untold Tale

Chapter 2

One day, as Kaede could not stand the sight of the three witches disguised as girls cheering for him anymore, he pulled them to a dark corner near the locker room after the friendly match against Ryonan and howled at them for such action.
“Why for did you do so?”

Ru glanced at Kaede and squealed, “We came to help.”

Ka nodded and beamed, “Help indeed.”

Wa continued wisely, “Would you like to hear some more prophecies about yourself, Kaede?”

When Kaede did not reply, the three witches then proceeded to dress Kaede up like a barbie doll.

Kaede glared at them, aware of the little pitter-patter footsteps around him.
“I must have been a fool to fall into all of your pool of tricks making me feel all cool…”

Yes. That’s our little boy Kaede. He spoke, oh yes, he did. And they rhyme too, although it did not exactly make any sense.

Just before Kaede’s ears perked up enough to hear the extreme loud footsteps and before Ru, Ka and Wa could answer, in skipped Hanamichi, wearing a blue bonnet on his head and carrying a fruit basket.
“Oh whatever would I do without fruits….oh~ fruits…~” He sang.

Now everybody knew how ridiculously lousy he sings and everyone can imagine the sight.

Whoever had knew what had happened after that?

The witches back into the night, leaving Kaede staring at the unusually unusual Hanamichi and vice versa.

And typically, they both freaked out.

Kaede hid his shock but the word ‘ouch, what was that on your head’ was written all over his face.

Hanamichi burst.

Typically.

And they screamed at each other for the weirdness.

Alright, alright, my mistake.

Hanamichi screamed at Kaede for the weirdness and Kaede just retorted.

Ever seen a monkey getting all irritated and fussy?

Holding fruits in his arms?

There you go, Hanamichi for you…

Who knew what happened after that?

They were already cutting each other throats before and it got worse, with threatening of reputations and such that…

Hey?!

Oh wait…

What was that I saw in the locker room just?

Whoops. Okay…

I must correct my mistake here.

Scrap those lines above….

Who knew what happened after that?

They were already cutting each other throats before and it got worse, with threatening of reputations and such…but everybody knew that love was as great as hate, so…

Cough cough…

Did you roughly get the idea here? The witches had not planned for such to exactly happened, and were they not happy about that… Oh no…not the fact that their little koochi koochi ninny Kaede had been ‘devoured’ by the impish monkey.

And they complained, whining their voices high and screechy to their goddess, Hecate.

Ru went, “Its unfair! Kaede Rukawa is my baby!”

Ka blinked. “Our baby.”

Wa was unhappy too. “I thought he would love me the most!”

And Hecate pitied them and in a flash of thoughts, set out a curse to the whole town.
“Whoever had once been not a human shall turned into whatever he was once!”

And little Haruko was just chewing on her food when she turned into princess squirrel again, chewing on her nut.

Anzai turned into a giant panda once again sitting on bamboo instead of chair, Ayako led a row of chicks instead of managing basketball players. Akagi hanged on the tree instead of on the basketball hoop. Mitsui howled away while speaking and many other animals were once again seen in the enchanted forest.

What? Poor animals? You should see how contented they look there.

Well…

Except for Hanamichi and Kaede who ended up kissing a fox and a monkey respectively.

Belch, they went.

Oh gross.

But they still held their hands together and ran through the leaves of the enchanted trees.

Held their paws.

Their love still strong through the tiny beating heart.

Just not kissing.

And the story ended, animals as before, yet much happier and lovable.
