Grandma's Haunted House Revisited - 16 Years Later
I never would have guessed that I would have more stories to tell about my grandmother's old house that she sold 16 years ago, but I do! The current owners have recently put it up for sale, and coincidentally, I have a friend who is a real estate agent! My friend was kind enough to allow me and my family in the house to reminisce and take a few pictures.
This house has a lot of history to it. Some of it was added after grandma was moved out. There was a tragic accident that happened at a local event in our city years and years ago that claimed the life of a little boy. It just so happened that he was part of the family that was living in that house. Since then, the family split up and went their separate ways leaving the house empty. It was quite eerie seeing a couple of drawings of him that were left hanging in the house. But, not quite as spooky as this photo that my dad took in the basement:

Look at the curtain...do you see anything unusual?
Most of the house looked totally different from when my grandmother lived there. It was updated to the extent that I didn't feel like I was in the same house, until we went into the basement. (which, by the way, was where the above photo was taken) Ironically, most of the photos taken in the non-updated parts of the house, had the most questionable things in them. I have seen many pictures of orbs posted on the internet, and am not totally sold on the idea that these are necessarily anything more than dust particles or flash reflection. But it is strange that they did show up in one of the only parts of the house that made me and my mom feel a slight bit "weak in the knees."

There was a pull down ladder that was added to the second floor ceiling
that allows access to the attic crawl space. This passage did not exist when my
grandparents lived there. We took a peek and a few photos from the
ladder. My dad was confused by this streak of light that appeared in the digital
camera display, so he took a second one. Oddly enough, the streak of light moved to
a different place in the attic, appearing in a different spot. The green arrows are
pointing to the unusual light. Below are close ups of these light streaks.

None of these photos blew me away as much as the original one did that I took 16 years ago. However, I do feel that there may be something here. This type of stuff doesn't usually show up in regular photos that we take everyday. (and I take a TON of pictures!) Thanks to my dad for letting me post these pictures here. He took 48 of them on our visit and these were the most questionable. I have yet to get my 35mm developed and see my friends video footage. In the future, there may be some more interesting things to share here.
UPDATE! - November 2002
After this web page was created, my mother and I had our 35mm film developed. She had two pictures that contained orbs. One of them showed up right in front of me. (this is an awful picture of me, so I don't know what will scare you more, me or the ghost!) I was surprised that NOTHING unusual appeared in any of the pictures that I took. My friend said that she didn't notice anything odd about her video. Who knows? I do know that orbs can be easily created in photos by spraying water in front of the camera. I do know that we did not do anything like that. So, I feel that these photos are authentic.

Also, I had the old ghost photo redeveloped and here's what turned out:

(Please note, all of the photos on this page were reduced in size and quality in order to save uploading time. The originals are much more clear.)
