National Archives of Singapore The Host Institution
The National Archives of Singapore (NAS) was established in 1968 and
became part of the National Heritage Board (NHB) in 1993. NAS is mandated by the NHB Act
1993, to be the official custodian of the governments corporate memory. It is
responsible for the permanent preservation of the nations records, which are of
national and historical significance.

International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives
Established in 1969, the International Association of
Sound and Audiovisual Archives (IASA) supports the professional exchange of information
and fosters international cooperation between audiovisual archives in all fields,
especially in the area of acquisition and exchange, documentation, access and
exploitation, copyright, conservation and preservation. IASA has about 380 members from
almost 50 countries.

South East Asia-Pacific Audiovisual Archive Association
The South East Asia-Pacific Audiovisual Archive Association (SEAPAVAA)
was established in 1996 as a result of an ASEAN-COCI (Committee on Culture and
Information) project recommendation. SEAPAVAA aims to provide a forum for addressing
common issues and concerns related to the collection and preservation of, and provision of
access to, the audiovisual heritage of its member countries. About 40 members from the
region are represented in SEAPAVAA.
