The Philippine Information Agency Motion Picture Division, together with the SEAPAVAA Secretariat, congratulates the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) for another significant milestone in efforts to push forward the goals of NFSA and AV archiving in Australia As you launch today (21 June 1999) the new directions for Australia's Screen and Sound Heritage and the opening of the new Technical Wing, your colleagues here in the Philippines and the South East Asia Pacific Region rejoice with you on this happy occasion and look to this development with much expectations. Indeed, NFSA will always be looked at as a model for its pioneering and sustained efforts in AV archiving in the South East Asia-Pacific Region. Its achievements in this regard benefit the region as well! We hope to visit NFSA in the near future. Congratulations and Mabuhay!
