VFI awarded Labor Medal
on 20th anniversary

The Vietnam Film Institute (VFI) will be confered the prestigious Labor Medal Award by the Government of Vietnam during ceremonies commemmorating VFI's 20th anniversary on September 22, 1999.

The award will be received by VFI Director Tran Luan Kim, according to Dr. Ngo Hieu Chi of VFI in a communication to SEAPAVAA's President Ray Edmonson and Secretary-General Belina SB Capul.

Dr. Ngo also revealed that VFI is testing a new technology which he will describe in the next issue of the SEAPAVAA newsletter.
