Daniel looks over to the teen sitting in the passenger's seat with Tyler her monkey sitting on her lap.

"Do you have to always do that?"

"Yea I do."

"Why?"

"Because I want to live to see tomorrow, now will you slow down?"

" fine , fine I don't feel like getting into an argument with you tonight."

Daniel slowed the car down so that he was going the speed limit. He drove another 20 minuets before pulling in to the road on which he lived on. He looked over to the girl sitting next to him with Tyler still sitting on her lap. He still sometimes had trouble remembering that she was only fourteen years old. Most of the time she acted more like she was 30. Though when they weren't working and even sometimes when they were,she acted like a normal teenage girl. Well as normal as a fourteen-year-old with numinous Ph.D' s acted.

"So we got a week off what are you going to do." Daniel said braking the silence

"I'm thinking about cleaning out the shed."

"What's in there anyway? I have never been down there."

After coming back from Abodes he had moved in with her. It was only supposed to be temporary till he had found a place but soon this became his permanent place of residents.

"Some artifacts my parents had put in there."

Daniel’s eye's widened with interest

"Oh yea like what."

"To tell you the truth I don't really remember."

"Oh well need any help?"

"Yeah, cool that will be great."

As Daniel was about to pull into the driveway he noticed the police car sitting in the driveway. "What the hell?"

He pulled in next to the car. Before he even had time to turn off the engine a police officer was standing next to him.

" Hello officer, how can I help you?"

" I'm looking for a Miss. Jc West."

Jc who had been petting Tyler from her place in the passenger's seat looked up with interest. "That would be me."

"Could you please exit the vehicle?"

Jc jumped out of Daniel’s jeep Cherokee, Tyler now sitting on her shoulder. She made her way around to were the cop was standing

"So officer,"

"Officer Jefferson."

"So Officer Jefferson what brings you here?"

"Maybe we should move this inside were we can sit and talk."

"Right here is fine." She said crossing her arms over her chest.

"There was an accident last night involving your aunt I'm very sorry sweetie she was killed instantly."

Jc stood there looking at the officer not fazed at all by what the man had just told her. "Thanks for informing me."

Officer Jefferson looked confused by the reaction or the non - reaction Jc had to the news. Daniel on the other hand knew that Jc had no relation ship of any kind with her aunt. Thought her aunt had custody of Jc she lived somewhere in Africa.

Daniel looked up to see women in her 40's getting out of the car and walking over to Jc and Officer Jefferson.

"Hi you most be Jc, I'm Mary Gellerger I’m sorry to hear about your aunt."

"What's going on?" Jc didn't even have to ask that she already knew what was going on.

"Jc because you have no one to take care of you right now were going to take you some were so we can find a relative to come get you."

Daniel was trying to keep him self from laughing. Apparently some one forgot to mention to these two that the girl they came out here to get was a genies not mention an Air force colonel.

"I'm not going anywhere."

"I know this is very hard on you but you really need to come with us."

"Look lady I'm not going anywhere with you."

" Miss you need to come with us ether you can get in the car on your own or I can but you in the car."

Daniel was about to intervene when Jc stopped him

" Its OK I'll go with them and get this whole thing straitened out."

"All right."

Jc and the other two got in the car leaving Daniel standing in the driveway

Chapter 2

They had arrived an hour earlier. When they had arrived they had put her in a room that looked like a preschool. So here she sat in a little plastic chair meant for a 5-year-old. She had been in this predicament before after each death she had been brought to the social service. Were she would wait till they found another relatives to take her in. the only different this time was she was out of relatives or ones that still lived in the real world. She had one more uncles left her uncle Nathan Bridger who lived alone on his island completely shut off from the rest of the world. She had gone to see him a couple of times but then the thing with her Uncle Jack and the hospital. After that she just never got around to visiting him. She thought about him though wondering if he was still alive. The door to the room opened interrupting Jc thoughts

"We got a hold of your Uncle Nathan Bridger he's sending a shuttle in the morning to get you and bring you to the seaquest."

" How did you get a hold of him?"

" I called up the seaquest a young man put me through to him. He very happy to hear your OK I guess you haven't talked to him in a while he was worried about you."

"You don't know."

"Know what, last time I checked he was living on his island."

" He's the captain."

"Oh."

"Well come on lets find you something to eat and some were to sleep."

"Where's Tyler."

"Who."

"Tyler my monkey, you know about 3 feet tall black and white."

"Will go get him on are way down to the cafeteria."

Jc was getting sick of this lady treating her like a little child.

An half hour later on the seaquest

~scene~

Ford, Crocker, Krieg, Westphalen, O'Neill, Lucas, Ortiz, and Hitchcock

Were all in the wardroom waiting for the captain.

Bridger walks and sites down at the head of the table

"I bet your all wondering why I called you here"

Lucas looked around the room wondering if he should ask the captain the question he know was on every ones mind."

He decided not to mention the fact that she was a genius not to mention an Air Force colonel he let her do that. I wonder if Tyler still around he thought to him self. He knew that Darwin would be happy to see the monkey again. They had formed a friendship on the visits Jc had made to the island to see him.

No one answered.

As the others were walking out Crocker made his way over to the Captain.

Crocker had worked under Jc command once when she was 8 and doing work for section seven. At first Crocker was not to pleased about being under a child command. But then she had proven her self to him and the rest of the team. He had no idea what they had been doing. all he know was in the middle of a tour Crocker had been temporarily assigned to section seven.

Crocker was heading out the door when Bridger spoke. "Oh and chief that monkey likes to be called Tyler."

Crocker exited the room shaking his head and laughing. Bridger who was still siting in the wardroom was also laughing.

Chapter 3

New cape quest seaquest docking bay

Man was she pissed first they take her a way from here home then they tell her she has to go on this dam submarine. Then they tell her she couldn't call General Hammond and tell him she was leaving. They didn’t even believe her when she told them she was a colonel in the Air force. And then to top it all off they wouldn't let her go back to her house. Lucky for her she had her duffel bag filled with her clothes and other things she was bring home from her 6 week stay at the base. So now here she stood waiting for a shuttle to come pick her up.

Mary Gellerger was really starting to get on her nerves.

Ahhh this lady was driving her insane. She could tell from the look on Tyler's face that she was getting on his nerves to. She keep trying to play games with him which was really irritating him. Thank god the shuttle arrived then. A tall Cuban with short black hair got out of the shuttle and walked over to were she and Mary Gellerger were standing.

Jc shook her head yes

They shuck hands

Migel was surprised that she had asked what kind of 14-year-old would care what kind of sensors we have.

Jc had decided she would at lest make a good first impression on these people because as soon as she got on that boat she was going to explain things to her uncle and get back on dry land.

She picked up her bag and waved Tyler over.

After saying good bye to Ms Gellerger they walked into the shuttle Miguel in the pilots seat and Jc in the back.

The drove the rest of the way in silence.

Chapter 4

Captain Bridger, Lucas wolenczak, and Kristin Westphalen waited in docking bay 4 for Jc.

Also she a child genius and hides behind an attitude like him but he decided to leave that out and let him figure it out for him self.

Nathan wondered how Lucas would react to Tyler I guess we'll find out soon enough.

The docking bay doors opened and a very frightened monkey came running out Nathan put his hands down and stopped the monkey.

Lucas looked at the monkey and captain Bridger laughing as the monkey climbed on to the captain shoulders. He turned when he herd a females voice

Jc said walking over to were they were standing and giving Bridger a hug.

Jc went over and shuck her hand

Lucas walked over to her and shook her hand

Lucas noticed that when he shook her hand she tensed up. I wonder what that’s all about

Not only Lucas noticed this so did Nathan. Maybe being around Lucas will help her. Jc was used to adults all her life she was around adults. She was not used to people her age actually they kind of scared her. She had told him about her fear one day when she was visiting him on the island. He had hoped she had gotten over her fear.

Ok so she wasn't getting off the boat right away

Jc and lucas started walking toured D deck

She but her bag down on the bag and stared looking for something. A few minuets later she pulled out a mine green backpack and handed it to Tyler who put it on.

Lucas showed her around most of the boat. he only had to show her sea deck and the bridge

They walked over to the moon pool and Darwin stuck his head out of the water.

Lucas stared looking around for the sources of the voice

Lucas looked at the monkey who was now sitting at the edge of the pool petting Darwin.

The captain was right about her being like him and changing the subject when she didn't want to talk about something. "About 6 months."

Working outside the door on a panel was Chief Crocker. When he heard Lucas's voice he had turned around about to say something when he sore Jc.

Lucas looked back and forth between the two "ugh what's going on."
