I began Seasons For Writing in January 2001. Previously, I subscribed to a few writing newsletters and always thought I'd like to do something like that, too. I wanted to try creating what I thought could be a better newsletter, one specifically for and about writers. The thought of helping other writers share their work together, gain experience, knowledge, get published, and have fun in the process, were motivating factors which led to my final decision to begin my own such publication.

Although I had some apprehension about the venture at first, I soon realized I had made the right decision with the undertaking. Before long, I began to gain a following of interested readers and writers and even gained a good number of subscribers, too. But the best part was that friendships and good dialogue were forming, writing skills and inspiration were being shared and gained by us all.

It takes a lot of work on my part each month to put together Seasons For Writing, but I love doing it. All my life I have loved to read and write. I'm fascinated with the written word, and sharing it with others through Seasons For Writing, for me, is a rewarding thing to do.
