"The Courier Mail" Wednesday 18th February 2004:-

"Dozens of schoolchildren were saved from serious injury yesterday in
north Queensland when the wheels of their school bus fell off while
driving in a 60km/h zone. Smithfield police Sgt Dick Van Drie said wheel
studs holding the back two wheels of a local school bus together fell
off just after it negotiated a round-about on the Captain Cook Highway
in northern Cairns. The bus was full of schoolchildren travelling to a
local pool at the time. The bus pictured, was impounded and was being
checked by Queensland Transport yesterday."

And here's a local report (about the same accident), that the local (Cairns), ABC emailed to me:-
