Back To The Needle
So it was a toasty mid-July Sunday and we
decided to head back to the space needle to play some arcades, drink beer, eat
candy floss and so on. Down the hill we did go, pausing for a pic on the way.
That’s our destination in the background.
I again refused to go on the ferris wheel
because they scare me. We played some air hockey and then took a wander, and
somehow, last time we were there, we managed to not notice this thing. Maybe
because it was off, I dunno, but the call of the water was strong…
…and we obeyed, and we entered the timed jets
and spouts emerging from it to get very, very wet indeed.
Erin started to get a bit chilly and
retreated, and at this point, other adults decided that this sort of fun was
not simply reserved for the kids and started to enter as well.
At this point, one regrets not bringing a
towel or change of clothes, and also regretting the fact that we have to either
get the bus or walk all the way back up that bloody great hill. Ah well, fun is
fun.
And so plans were made to do it again next
week with more preparations and picnic stuff to munch on.
