SYNOPSIS:
(WARNING: SPOILER ALERT!)
A massive Macronesian fleet is discovered, on course to attack the UEO’s headquarters at Pearl Harbour.
The Excalibur is called into service to protect the city, and the seaQuest is assigned to act as her support,
allowing a brief reunion with old friends. But, this reunion will be short-lived, and by the end of this mission,
the Excalibur will find herself way out of her depth…

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
”Dawning” marks the premiere of seaWolf ASV. Its style is somewhat rougher than later episodes, and the characters are less fleshed out.
We are introduced to the series by a short monologue by Warren, which has remained (partially) intact from the original draft of the episode. It’s something that I felt very strongly about, and had a very powerful effect to start the series off, then merging straight into a serious situation.

As with any premiere, the general world situation has to be established and our little corner of it has to be set in stone. This is one of the main reasons why the seaQuest crew feature in the episode. Although I had planned all along for them to have a major supporting role in the series, here they also act as a bridge, linking the old series with the new, making the viewer more comfortable by establishing some familiar faces.
So, sit back and let the adventure begin…
