NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
The first seaWolf “event” episode (or trilogy of episodes). This would be the series’, and my, first major test: to see
if I could pull off a coherent storyline for three episodes. Although, to some extent, the first three episodes were
interrelated, they all had separate plotlines. Archangel would have one plotline going through all three. This three-parter
was originally intended to be two parts, but when it came to plotting out the story, there was too much going on to fit
into two 45-minute episodes. The original draft had seaQuest and Excalibur on the infiltration mission, but I realised that
the technical advances on the seaFire, designed as a covert operations vessel, would be more suited to the task.
Now, to deal with a point of contention: I had always intended for a submarine called seaFire to appear in the series, even
before the much-hated seaFire ASV came on the scene. I didn’t feel the need to change the name because of this, especially
once Deep Angel came into being.
The introduction of Section 7 (the UEO’s answer to Internal Affairs and the CIA rolled into one) into the seaWolf universe
begins a plot arc that will affect the entire series soon enough…
