SYNOPSIS
(WARNING: SPOILER ALERT!)
The crews of Excalibur and seaFire must risk everything they hold dear to prevent all out war, as a secret agenda hijacks the mission, while, aboard the Macronesian super-sub, outnumbered and outgunned, the infiltration team must face the fact that not all of them may return home…
And one key crewmember will die to save the lives of his friends…

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
The ending of the Archangel three-parter was set in stone from the start of Act One of “The Fault lies…” It was clear that Section 7’s involvement would have a pivotal role in the action, and you knew things wouldn’t go as planned. Section 7’s actions in hijacking the seaFire are never fully revealed or understood here, and the denouement of this particular plot point will not take place for sometime… As Warren reflects in the final act, there are still unanswered questions, but some of those are answered in the next episode.

The death of one of the Excalibur crew (I won’t ruin it by saying who it is) shows that our characters are not immortal, that nothing is set in stone, and that everyone is vulnerable (several other episodes in the series will examine this idea…).

Warren’s final log entry and the perhaps over-dramatic ending came because of the circumstances surrounding the future of the series. It was unclear at the time of writing whether the series could continue following a series of problems with my Internet access, and I felt that, if “But in Ourselves…” was to be the final episode of seaWolf published, a rounded-out ending was needed.
