Bob Dylan; It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding); Live 1964; Columbia/Legacy

Bob Dylan and Joan Baez; With God On Our Side; Live 1964; Columbia/Legacy [It's astounding that those who oppose Christianity often do so for specious reasons, choosing to examine backsliden Christians but not the sinful heart of humankind. They seem to be asking, 'If the world would be better with Christianity then where's the proof?' Sadly counterfeit Christianity is the real cause of what is perceived as actual Christianity. But Christ came to heal the sick not to congratulate the healthy. I believe that Bob Dylan is now too mature to think so sloppily as he did when writing this still influential song. But as with many other songs it does tell part of the truth, a truth rarely heard before it was written.]

Dixie Chicks; Tortured, Tangled Hearts; The Best of Can't You Hear Me Callin' Bluegrass: 80 Years of American Music; Columbia Legacy 2004 [Another shallow opinion by show host: a woman who would call herself a 'chick' is about like a guy who would call himself a 'dude.' Themses belongs t'gether. The music however is outstanding! Which reminds me of an artist for whom I wrote a blurb recently (by request of his girlfriend-promoter). Kidding around I said that he was out standing in his own field. When appearing on his webpage the words were joined: "outstanding". Since my covey of attorneys are busy with lesser work we'll let that slide for now, but it just goes to show that satire gets perverted by the ambitious, themses who thinks that making a living in this sorry world of music is worth the trouble. May God have mercy on their pitiful souls, mine included. The pipedream of defeating the physics of human society is one of this world's worst narcotics.]

The show ended with a Public Service Announcement for Carroll County (Georgia) Department of Family and Children's Services' Adoption Program. Call 770 830-2050 for more information. [Perhaps a decade ago I was telling a college professor friend of mine that I wanted to have children and he asked why commenting that everyone he knew was disappointed in theirs. Maybe he could have adopted and then taken his perceived failure less personally. Naw, something else was at work in his relationship with his two wonderful daughters. He must have expected them to be people other than who they were. I liked and admired both daughters but their father, and my friend, was rather a visionary always thinking about how the world could be if only this or that could be changed, modified, improved, etc. But this old world is just what it is. Hey, there are lots of children who need good homes. Consider adopting children and disabled adults. No, they won't turn out like you expect but so what; does anything?]
