Chapter 140. The door opened to  the "Hunka Hunka Burning Love" Bridal suite. Louie walked in and turned the lights on, as Lisa stormed past him. Li: "I CAN NOT BELIEVE THIS!" He shut the door and threw the key on the table. Lou: "Nice room don't you think?" He said as she took one shoe off. She began to respond while removing the other shoe. LI: "Nice room!?! Is that all you got to say? I'll give you Nice ROOM!" She threw the shoe across the room. Lou: "Now Mrs. Cerullo, calm down." She closed her eyes and clenched her fists. She spoke through gritted teeth. Li: "Don't call me that!!!" Louie held back a chuckle as he walked further into the suite. He looked at Lisa, truth was he was probably in shock. I mean he came her to do a job and save his ass, who would've thought he'd go home with a wife. He turned and turned the lamp on. He tilted his head and smirked. Li: "UGH!" She stormed into the bathroom slamming the door and he chuckled when music played again. They both stared at the ring a moment, before she took the other ring out of his hand and grabbed his left hand. Slowly she slid it on his finger, she looked up and smiled at him. Li: (Whispers) "Looks like Elvis made a perfect match." Lou: "That he did.." He grinned and she laughed. He pulled her down onto his lap. She looked at him laughing. With that Sonny hung up, he turned and saw the doctor walk into Brenda's room. He stood and hurried into the room. Dr: "Well Brenda, the sun is starting to shine for you." He looked over his shoulder as Sonny walked in. "Good I can tell you together." B: "Tell us what?" Dr: "Well after examining the x-rays, everything seems to be healing perfectly. Your inicision as far as I can see is closed, we'l give it a few more days and by the end of the week we can take the stitches out." Brenda looked at him a moment before smiling. B: "Really?" S: "It's not to soon?" Dr: "It's not about time...everyone heals differently..Brenda happens to heal quick." Sonny smiled at her. B: "So I'll be able to leave?" Dr: "Well we want to keep you here for 24 hours after the stitches are out...keep you in a wheel chair a few hours...make sure your alright to leave." S: "Did you inform the physical therapist." Dr.: "He's waiting for her, when you leave I'll give you his number all you have to do is call and schedule your appointment." B: "Thank you doctor...for everything." He smiled. Dr: "It's been my utmost pleasure." He turned to Sonny and nodded to him. S: "Well I want to thank you too...you saved her life, I'm be forever grateful." He held out his hand and the doctor shook it. Dr.: "I just wish I could've done more." He smiled to them. Dr: "I'll check in later." They watched him leave and Sonny turned around and smiled at her. S: "Half way there." B: "Yeah.." (She sighed) "The hardest part has yet to come though." S: "We'll get through it."He nodded reassuringly. Sa: "I knew you'd see things my way." Chapter 142. Louie looked around before he reached into his pocket and pulled out a screwdriver he unlocked the door to Kelly's and walked in. He went behind the counter and searched, he lifted up a key and grinned, slipping the screwdriver into his pocket he hurried up the stairs. He quietly opened the door to Lisa's bedroom. He walked in and closed the door, slipping the key into his pocket, he turned and saw her. She was crawled up on the leather recliner with a blanket over her. Her head was to the side and she was sleeping. The glow from the T.V., lit her face. Louie sighed and looked at the time, 3 a.m. He looked at her again and smiled slightly. He walked over to the television, turning it off. He was standing rigt infront of her, just staring at her when he kneeled down. He ran his fingers over her soft hair. She began to squirm slightly, moment's later her hand moved up to his and she slowly opened her eyes. Groggily she looked at him. Li: (whispered and closed her eyes) "I'm not even gonna ask how you got in.." He chuckled and whispered. Lou: "You probably wouldn't like to hear I picked the lock." Her yawn turned into a smile and she opened her eyes, looking down at him. Li: "I thought you were gonna call.." Lou: "Disapointed?" LI: "Give me a minute.." She smiled. Lou: "Taggert followed me, he wanted to make sure I was going home to my wife." Lisa sat up. Li: "He doesn't buy it does he?" Lou: "They don't have any evidence...and we have or aliby. Taggert said if he finds out we're just playing house, he's gonna get drastic." He rolled his eyes. Li: "We just won't make him find out." Louie looked at her. Lou: "Do you know what your saying?" She sighed. Li: "I can't just let you go to jail.." She tilted her head. "So we stay married for awhile..I can handle that." Lou: "Well that's a surprise, last night you were ready to hang me." Li: "Shut up and say thank you." He laughed. Lou: "Thank you.." She  nodded. Li: "If Taggerts going to be following you, I guess I should make you a key, so he can't bust you for breaking and entering." She paused. "What is it?" Lou: "I need a favor." She sighed. Lou: "Here me out..I have to go to Pheonix and tell Sonny what's going on with Taggert, and let him in on everything, I want you to come with me. If you stay, Taggerts only going to use it to his advantage and try to get you to spill." Li: "I won't." Lou: "I know..because you'll be with me." She looked at him a moment. Li: "You don't trust me.." Lou: "I do trust you..I don't trust Taggert." She stood up and pushed the quilt off her to reveal her t-shirt, that she wore as a short short nightgown. Li: "You can't just keep asking me to pick up and leave for trip after trip..Louie I need to work." Lou: "Don't worry about it..I'l make sure you get a check." She turned to him, her eyes closed and her voice frustrated. Li: "I don't want your handouts." Lou: "Lisa..it's not a handout, not if your ,my wife." He tried to reason. 'Look the most we'd be is a day...and then you can go back to work.'' She turned and looked at him. Li: "Fine I'll go..but Louie I'm not gonna keep running from state to state." He nodded. Lou: "I understand." She studied him a minute. Li: You look tired." He looked at her. Lou: "I'm pretty beat." Li: "Let's go to bed." He stood up and followed her to the bed. She threw back the comforter and sheets as he got undressed. She slipped in and brought the covers up to her. SHe was on her side, facing opposite Louie when he got in. He looked at her and then leaned over her. She opened her eyes and looked up at him. He leaned down and kissed her lips softly. Lou: "G'night."He whispered against her lips. He pulled back and looked at her a quick moment before he turned on his back. There was silence and then she turned. He watched her cuddle against him. He wrapped his arm around her and kissed the top of her head. Li: "Night." The following morning while Brenda was being examined by the doctor Sonny was in the lobby on his cell phone. S: "What do you mean you can't find her Benny...she has to be in Pheonix, she came here a few days ago and spoke to Brenda." Be: "Boss I've looked." S: "Your not hearing me Benny...TRY HARDER..." He saw his mother looking at him. S: "Remember what I said." He hung up and turned to Adela. A: "Everything ok?" S: "Seems like Veronica is playing hide and seek.." Adela shok her head and then looked at him. A: "Well the doctor finished up with Brenda, you could go in if you want." He rubbed his face tiredly. S: "I'm so tired of all this." I can't wait until she gets out of here." A: "I know.." S: "I always hated hospitals, ever since you were admitted when I was 9, remember?" She looked down and nodded sadly. S: "They had you hooked up to so many machines, and when I went to visit it you I was so afraid that they'd start going off... I hate the way th doctors kept coming in..the sterile smell..everything." He looked at his mother. "I hated hospitals so much I didn't think it was possible to hate anything more..I was wrong. I lost my child here." He looked down. "As much as try not to think about it, I can't help myself." A: "Michael.." He shook his head. S: "Brenda's waiting.." He stood, sighing and walked into her hospital room. Adela put her head in her hands and cried for her son. He was in so much pain and there wasn't anything she could do. All a mother ever wants to do is take their chlds pain away and their not always able to do so. Brenda looked up as Sonny walked in. B: "Anything yet?" S: "Because I rather spend my time with you." B: "You know I'll be here when you get up...and probably for the next few days." SHe nodded and he laughed. S: "Don't get smart with me." "Frankly I couldn't give a damn that your here, but you told me I have a sister and that's something I can't just forget." Ver: "What do you want from me?" B: "I want to find her." Ver: "I don't know who you think I can help you..I already told your boyfriend I don't even know where to begin looking for her." B: "Then just tell us what you do know, what's her full name?" Ver: "Lisa Mancuzzi, her fathers name was Steven Mancuzzi. I know that they lived in Conneticuit. WHen I found out that Harlan had died I went to see Steven and he was a mess. Lisa ran away when she was 16, all he knew was that she had shacked up with a Strip Club owner in Manhattan, he took her in I guess. Steven said when he found hera few months ago. She was working for some other strip club and he went to see her. She was dancing when he walked in, she hurried off the stage and left. She never went back there and he doesn't know where she is. She could be anywhere." B: "She's had a hard life." Ver: "She resented her father, because of me. When he refused to find me she rebeled." S: "Why did she move to Manahattan." S: "If the father knows where she worked last, we can go and question the boss, do alittle homework and then give everything to Benny...In fact I think I'll ask Louie to do it for me.." B: "If this is her again--" The door opened and Louie poked his head through. Lou: "Is it safe?" Brenda and Sonny grinned B: "Yes..." Louie opened the door wider and smiled. Lou: "MARIAH!" Lou: "She's crazy...she drives me nuts between the fighting and the stubborness, she has a big mouth and hot temper.." He looked at Sonny. "She's also, extremely generous..and theres a part of her that's just a scared girl, that you want to protect..she can make me drop to my knees with just a look..." He took a deep breath. "I don't know how else to hang onto this.." Sonny sat down next to him. S: "Then use it...use Taggert's threat as your excuse, and take a chance. Louie, take it from me, love is worth it." Sonny laughed slighty. "Ever think you'd here me say that?" Louie smiled at him slightly. Lou: "Since Brenda came into your life you really became a more..well you became a happy man." Sonny looked down. S: "I asked her to marry me." Lou: "What?..Oh My god Sonny.." S: "She said no." Lou: "What?" S: "She's set on walking again..she doesn't want to get married not being comfortable who she is. She's got this dream of walking down the aisle.."He lifted his head. Veronica however told her she has a half sister out there somewhere..I'm gonna get you a name of her father and an address...I know you and Lisa could use the time together..but it would mean alot if you could just question him..I'll get more into detail when I get the address and number." G: "Carly...jesus, where have you all been?" Ca: "Oh Hi Mrs C...you know us..always working." G: "Right..you know I don't want to know. I called because I got a call from Adela, Brenda will be released Sunday and her and Sonny are staying with Adela. I think her physical therapist is here." Ca; "Oh my god  that's great..but they're gonna be in Brooklyn?" G: "It's best for her recovery..so anyway I'm calling because I want to throw a Welcome Home party for them." Carly looked down. Ca: "That'll be great.." Lo: "What does she want?" Carly covered the phone. Ca: "Brenda's coming home, Sunday and she's throwing her a party." Lois looked at Carly. Lo: "We should've thought of that." Carly nodded. Ca: "Mrs. C? We want to help." G: "I knew yous would.." Lisa threw herself on the bed once they walked into their hotel room. Louie through the key onto the desk and looked at her. Lou: "Oh no you don't..Up...up Come on." She looked at him. Li: "Excuse me?" Lou: "If you think we're gonna sit around in this hotel room tonight your wrong." Li: "Well I wasn't planning on sitting around." She sat up and rolled her eyes. "So I take it you have a better idea?" Lou: "Why don't I go run you a bath?" She raised an eyebrow. Li: "Are you pampering me Mr. Cerullo?" He tilted his head. Lou: "Maybe..." She grinned. Li: "Keep going." Louie walked into the bathroom and moment's later she heard the rub begin to fill with water and bubbles. She smiled slightly. Minutes later he came out, his sleeves were rolled up to his elbows and he had a sly grin on his face as he walked to her. Li: "What??" He laughed and picked her up in one quick motion. Li: "What do you think your doing." She said as she grinned. Lou: "Occupying your time?" He made his way to the bathroom. Lisa just stared at him. Li: "It would help if you put me down you know.." Lou: "Right.." He winked and her eyes widened as he dumped her into the ub with all her clothes on. Li: "Ah...Damn it Cerullo!" He kneeled down and smiled at her. Lou: "Yes?" She moved her wet hair out of her face and glared at him. Li: "I hate you!" Lou: "No you don't.." She looked at him and he smirked. She leaned forward. Li: "Don't you smirk at me.." He grabbed her face and pressed his lips against hers. She wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned forward, pulling him down. He pulled back and grinned. LoU: "I don't think so baby.." Her eyes bored into his. Li: "It's ok..I'll get you back for this." LoU: "Ain't a doubt in my mind...keep yourself busy..I'll be back." Li: "Where you going?" LoU: "Downstairs.." He turned to walk out of the bathroom. Li: "Louie..wait." He turned and watched her ring out her shirt. Li: "I'm sorry about before..I acted like a total bitch when you told Sonny and Brenda we were married. It's just you know..I don't want people talk and think it's ok, you know?" He squinted. Lou: "What?" Li: "You know have them say things how we only know eachother a little while...and that we're not in love...or that we're in a little fantasy. I just didn't know how to act." Lou: "Since when do you care about what people think?" Lisa thought about it.. Li: "I think it would be the day I met you.." He smiled. Lou: "Oh?" Li: "You infuriated the shit out of me..and it bothered me that you didn't think much of me." He shook his head. Lou:"Even though, I knew you were someone I couldn't easily forget..maybe I didn't think much of you when you were giving me ultimatums and gritting your teeth at me...but now..that's changed." She challenged him. He looked at her hard and then he whispered. Lou: "I think your a crazy  psychotic  woman, with mood swings and you've got a hot temper. YOU are wild and ...and..I think the world of you." Her angry glance softened and she looked at him almost speechless. Lou: "I'll be back." He smiled and walked out, leaving her eyes wide and her mouth slightly open..To think someone could actually think all of that shit and then think the world of her..She laughed. LI: "And I'm the psychotic one." She grinned. Chapter 143. Brenda erased her paper, frustrated when Sonny walked in, carrying a cup of coffee. B: "Hey.." She looked back at her paper. "Hows the coffee?" S: "Sucks..Whatcha working on?" B: "The song..I just I'm not so good at this." S:"Brenda this is the first time your trying..just give it a chance.." B: "I was never good in english, all my papers were--" S: "C's.." She grunted. B: "My poems never-" S: "Rhymed." B: "Thanks for pointing it all out to me." He chuckled. S: "What you've read to me so far was good Brenda..." B: "You said it was depressing.." She gave him a look. S: "Well your talking about death." It's the grammy's and your performing." He tilted his head and smiled at the thought. "You walk out from behind the stage and everyone's amazed. They're all whispering.."She did it..She made..Life through her a curve ball and she overcame it..I watch along with them in awe. You bring the microphone to your lips and you begin to sing the song you wrote. You put your all into , just like you always do, and when it's over You lift your head to a room full of standing people, aplauding." He was silent and she opened her eyes, tears fell from them and she whispered. B: "That's just a dream." S: "Yeah well you know...I'm a firm believer of dreams coming true, since I met you. " B: "You really think that'll happen? You think I'm strong enough to do this?" S: "I KNOW it's gonna happen." He dimpled. "As for you being strong enough. I've never met anyone stronger. You amaze me sometimes at your strength. I look at you and I know theres not an obstacle you can't overcome..Everthing that's thrown your way you take it you build on it. And theres not a doubt in my mind that you'll do just that with this." Brenda looked at him. B: "You know whatever strength I have I get from you.." She smiled at him. "I want you to know before the accident, whatever I was I was because of you..and anything I am after this is all over with, I will because of you..Because of your love..Because of everything you do." Sonny leaned over and pressed his lips to hers. S: "I love you." B: "I know, and I love you." Lisa was in the bathroom, She was running a comb through her long wet hair, when she heard the door open. Li: "Louie?" He opened the bathroom door and peeked in. Lou: "Hey.." He walked in, he was holding a shopping bag in his hand. She looked at him through the mirror. Li: "What's in the bag?" She said as she sprayed her hair with a leave-in conditioner. Lou: "Well...I bought you something." Li: "I can just imagine.." She turned around and smiled. He held the bag out to her. "What are you trying to spoil me?" Lou: "I don't think you'd object." She went to take the bag when he pulled it back. She raised an eyebrow and looked at him. He wrapped one arm around her waist and pulled her to him, his lips found hers and he sucked on her lower lip for a moment. When they pulled back she ran her fingers through his hair. She looked into his eyes and her breath caught. Lou: (Huskily) "Get dressed we're going out." He handed her the bag and she peeked inside then looked up at him. Li: "What?" Lou: "If I remember correctly..I owe my wife a date." She laughed slightly. Li: "That's right.." Lou: "Hurry!" He slapped her ass and walked out of the bathroom to get ready himself. Johnny opened the door to Kelly's and scoped the room out until he found her. There Sara sat at a table. She lifted her head and looked at him, then at her watch. He rolled his eyes and walked towards her. Sa: "Well your late." Jo: "Well I have other things to do besides plot to hurt people." Sa: "Don't knock it..you agreed to help, this twisted individual." She grinned. Jo: "Why did you call me here?" Sa: "Well now see I have the first move all set up. See when they come back from their little vacation, they'll be going back to work at that trashy bar. That night, I'll be talking to Louie, about his little marriage and then I'll tell him to look over at his wife, who will be using you to get him jealous." Jo: "How do you figure?" Sa: "Well your going to point out how close we are...and sorta ask her if it bothers her or what..And naturally she'll use you to make him jealous and you go along with it." Jo: "Why are you so set on this?" Sa: "Do you or don't you want Lisa?" Jo: "Not enough to hurt them." Sa: "Well if you care about her you won't be hurting her, you'll be saving her from the wrath of Louie Cerullo." Jo: "What is it that he did so wrong?" Sa: "Johnny you ever love someone who didn't love you? ANd you think it's ok, he'll eventually fall..I'll just give him some time. He didn't give me a chance to give him that time..He blew me off..without even a goodbye, a reason why...That hurts and it's about time Louie realizes how it is to feel that pain." Johnny just stared at her. The maitre'd opened the french doors for the couple, he smiled at them. Louie looked at Lisa and he just was mesmorized by her beauty. She was wearing the outfit he bought her. The black chiffon skirt with red roses on it and the black shirt that had one sleeve. Her hair was pushed back by a barrette, with the exceptiong of a few loose strands in her face. She turned to him and smiled. He held out his hand for her and she slapped hers in his and they followed the maitre'd to their table. Once they were seated Louie leaned over the table and looked at her. Lou: "You look beautiful." She sipped her water and then put her glass down. Li: "You should really stop..I might get used to this." He leaned back in his chair and opened the menu. Lou: "It wouldn't be so bad.." She looked at him, slightly smiling before she looked down at the menu. Li: "Fancy.." Louie nodded, and then looked up. Lou: "You don't like fancy?" Li: "Don't get me wrong, fancy is good..it's wonderful. But.. well don't you just like wild and fun too?" He laughed. Lou: "Don't you think we had enough wild and fun on our wedding." She laughed. Li: "I Don't mean fun with an Elvis impersonator marrying us, I mean..You know what when we go back to Port Charles..I'm gonna take you on a date." His eyes widened. Lou: "Your gonna take ME on a date?" Li: "Mmhmm." She grinned as she read the menu. Lou: "Well..I can't wait." The waiter walked over to them. W: "Good evening, can I get you something to drink?" Louie looked at Lisa. Li: "White wine." Lou: "And I'll have a martini..Dry." The waiter nodded and walked away. Louie closed his menu and just looked across the table at his wife. She looked at him and leaned forward. Li: "What?" LoU: "Well...I was just wondering." Li: "Wondering what?" Lou: "Where you've been all my life. So why don't you tell me?" Li: "Is that your way of asking me about my lifestory.." He grinned and nodded. She laughed. LI: "It's not really that entertaining." Lou: "I don't care." She sighed. Li: "Ok..well what do you want to know?" Lou: "Everything." Li: "What my quick summary wasn't good enough?" He just looked at her. Li: "Well pick something.." Lou:" Ok ok..let's see...your parents?" She let out a breath. Li: "I didn't say the hardest...but ok. When my parents met they were just friends, or so my father says.  My mother was married and unhappily. He befriended her and then eventually beded her. She was still married when I was born and her husband was some big executive with alot of money and alot of power..my father? A carpenter. So when it came to control, her husband had it all. My father  always told me never to resent her, she had to do what was best and that was leaving me with him. When I was older he told me she would come and see me when I was a baby, but had to stop when her husband found out. She left and he didn't know where she was. He never saw her again, that was about 15 years ago." The waiter placed the drinks down infront of them and then left them to their conversation. Lisa fidgeted with her glass. Li: "I used to blame him, I blamed him for everything." She laughed slightly. "I guess I was the daughter from hell.. I remember one night when I was 16 I found pictures of him, her and me...I was just a baby and then letters from her. They had kept in touch all these years..and never once did he show me the leters..in them she would right little P.S., tell my baby girl I miss her.,, or something like that. So that night I confronted him." She closed her eyes. "I lashed out on him, and all he had to say was it was better if I didn't know she cared or was around because I would want to see her and that was impossible. I was confused and hurt...I mean all my life I thought my mother hated me, that she just abandoned me...but she was forced to leave and she did care." She swallowed and became silent. Louie reached for her hand. Lou: "You don't have to say anymore." She looked up at Louie and was silent for a moment. LI: "That night I ran away." She whispered and then looked down. "I was hiding out in my friends empty apartment building. Thats when I met John..he swept me off my feet, or so I thought. He told me I could live with him and he'd give me a job...that he'd take care of me. And he did for the most part. When I was 18 we got married and for a month everything was so right, after that.." She shook her head. "I kind of thought I knew how my mother felt when she was married. We got a divorce and I ran again...this time to Manhattan." She looked at him. "I struggled...and then I got another job at a strip club. I was making alot of money and able to take care of myself..I didn't need My father or John...anyone. Then last month..I was performing and .." She looked down and placed her face in her hands. Lou: "Lisa.." She looked up as tears fell from the corners of her eyes. Li: "There was my father, crying as he looked at his daughter half naked dancing around a pole. I ran off that stage when I saw the look in his eyes and I just kept running...my pockets were empty and my gas tank too. So I stayed in Port Charles, and then I met you."She laughed as she wiped her eyes. "And the rest is history." He took her hands in his and caressed them with his thumbs. Lou: "Thank you..for sharing that..I know it wasn't easy." She nodded and cleared her throat. When she looked at him she wore a weak smile. Li: "Now you know all my deepest darkest secrets, why don't you tell me a few of yours?" He smiled. Lou: "Why don't we order first?" Li: "Ok.." Carly picked up the phone and dialed a number. Father Gallo was reading the bible when the phone rang. FG: "Hello?" Ca: "Hey Sexy.." He laughed. FG: "Carly...how you doing?" Ca: "Eh, pretty good. You?" FG: "Well..they turned me down for pope again this year.." She laughed. Ca: "You'll get them next time...So did you hear the news?" FG: "What news?" Ca: "Brenda's coming home Sunday." FG: "Oh that's wonderful! How is she?" Ca: "Well the doctors taking the stitches out and he says it looks good." FG: "I'm so happy." Ca; "Yeah..we all are. Her and Sonny are going to be staying In Brooklyn with Adela. It seems that theirs an excellent therapist that can help her there. But anyway I'm calling because Gloria wants to throw a Welcome home party for them..and we're getting everyone together. Say you'll come?" FG: "I'll be there.." Ca: "Of course you will be..You just wanna see me..right?" She grinned. "Don't lie." He laughed. Nick was driving around in his Porshe when his cell phone rang. N: "Hello?" Lo: (Cringe) "Nick? This is Lois..Brenda's-" N: "I know who..something wrong?" Lo: "No..I got your number through her phone book..She's coming home Sunday." Nick smiled slightly. N: "Good for her." Lo: "She's gonna be staying with Sonny's mom, because of her therapy...any how my parents are throwing a Welcome home party for them and..well...I know." She grimaced. Jason walked into Luke's and saw Claude. Ja: "Claude..I thought you said Luke Came back lastnight.." Luke walked out of the back wearing a a hat with a pom pom on top  and a cigar in his mouth. We moved here when Sonny well got his 'job offer'." Li: "Brooklyn? You miss it?" Lou: "Sometimes..I mean things are the same. When we were there we were always together getting in trouble having fun..that doesn't change. But some things have changed...we lost a very close friend of ours to Aids.." He shook his head. "Sometimes I wish we were those teenagers who didn't have a care in the world..and we were all together. The seven of us...Before Stone got Aids, before Brenda was hurt..before my sister met that asshole Ned." Louie shook his head and Lisa grinned slightly. Lou: "We were the best back then..everyone looked up to us..." He paused. " I thought alot about how things would be if we never moved here..and I convinced myself I hated Port Charles...but I think that was because when we were in Brooklyn it was all about friendship and where we were gonna hang out on a Saturday...then all of a sudden My sisters getting married, Sonny and Brenda are moving in together and Jason and Carly are convinced they're the next Bonnie and Clyde..and me? I was just the one who worked...who picked up their messes when they were too busy...I mean we still hung out and had fun but it wasn't the same. Maybe in a way I envied them." A: "Bags are in the cab..it's ok to be happy you know?" He nodded. S: "I know..and I am. I'm happy she's finally coming home." He smiled. "Before you know it she'll be walking again." Adela just nodded. S: "I'm gonna go see if the nurse needs any help dressing her." A: "ok." She watched her son go and she prayed to God, that she would walk again.. Sonny walked into the room and grinned when he saw Brenda all dressed and sitting up on the bed. S: "Damn...and here I thought I could help you get dress." The nurse laughed. Nu: "You can help her in her chair." S: "You mean this cadilac?" He said as he pointed to the wheel chair. The nurse nodded. Nu: "Thats the one.." She walked out. Sonny smiled at Brenda. S: "You look great." She smiled slightly." B: "Help me?" He nodded and he lifted her in his arms, gently placing her in the chair. S: "So you ready to bust this joint or what?" He said as he went behind her ready to push her. B: "Stop.." She shook her head. S: "Brenda?" She looked up at him, tears in her eyes, slowing falling down her cheeks. B: "I can't leave.." She put her head in her hands and cried. Sonny was confused as he knealt down before. S: "Sweetheart, what..what's wrong? What do you mean you can't leave?" B: "I can't..I can't leave here empty..I can't bring myself to leave this hospital without anything inside me, and no bundle wrapped up in my arms..." Sonny stared at her and then looked down. His heart sank and his eyes watered. Nothing can make it go away..make the ache and the memory fade..." She looked at him. B: "We weren't even given a chance...a glimpse, nothing." The tears just rolled down her face as she spoke. "I dreamt all my life about getting married, having babies..I used to pick names out and everything. I never had a dream come true, and you can't imagine how it felt when the doctor told me I was pregnant..I felt like I was apart of something bigger than anything before..bigger than you and I..bigger than a career...I was gonna be a mother and I was gonna give birth to a miracle...and it all went away...just like that. The dream, the baby the future...all a cloud of dust. It hurts...it hurts so much Sonny." He nodded. S: "Your probably saying he doesn't know...because he didn't care." She shook her head. "I made alot of mistakes Brenda...the first time you thought you were pregnant..it scared me..it did and I wasn't ready..I wasn't ready for the responsibility..but when you told me in Canada you were pregnant..I felt so overjoyed. "He cried. "And I wondered how could I ever say I wasn't ready for this before..when right there it felt like my whole life I waited for you to say those words to me. I loved this child, I did. He was my way to right my past..to prove to myself and to you that I wasn't that player who was scared of commitment of being a husband and father..I wasn't gonna let my father or Deke control my thoughts anymore..I was gonna just concentrate of giving that baby all the love I could...to concentrate on giving him the world." He took the bowl from her and she stood and walked out of the house. Ca: "WOW Is this a party or what?" They all looked at her. Ca: "I'll shut up." Louie looked between the door and the kitchen and walked into the kitchen. There his sisters consoled their crying mother. Lo: "Ma..you know it's not a big deal..so you missed Louie's wedding, at least you won't miss another thing.." Frannie looked at her. Lo: "Look I'm not good at this." Fr: "Ma?" Gloria looked up and her eyes caught Louies. Lou: "I'm sorry." G: "You three grew children so fast..I feel like your weddings and your are all I have left..I just want to see my kids start their own familie's.."She looked at Lois. "I didn't mean to control your wedding.." She looks at Louie "And I didn't mean to sound so selfish..I just how could you marry someone you just met?" Lou: "It's crazy I know..but it's us. Ma since we got married, I don't think  my life has felt more complete..I mean if it's just for awhile until it's safe to get it anulled..I like it and so does she." Gloria shook her head. G: "Louie.." Lou: "You said you want me to be happy..I am." Lo: "IF it's a wedding you want ma..I..I've decided to have a big wedding..I don't want something crazy..we have Louie for that..and I want your help." Frannie and Louie both looked at her, knowing exactly what she was doing. G: "Lois..I ." Lo: "I'd be insulted if you didn't." Gloria smiled slightly.. Lou: "And if you want to dance with your son..that can be arranged too.." Gloria looked at him and he smiled at her. Fr: "Well don't look at me..I'm not re-marrying Ritchie..but I will take your offer on staying with you until I'm more settled with being on my own." G: "I'm sorry..I over-reacted." Louie walked over to his mother and knealt before her. Lou: "You know my three girls are right here in this room..you guys were it for me for a long time. I used to pray that one day I'd have someone to grow old with like you and dad have.." He turned to Lois.. 'To have someone to belong to...like you and ned." He turned to Frannie "And to have a family..have kids." He looked at all of them as he stood. "I love yous, but now I have that..and maybe one day it'll be like you and dad..but right now I know that Lisa's outside and she's upset." Gloria looked at her son taking her hand. G: "You sound like a good husband..can't wait to see you in action." Louie smiled. G: "GO to her." Lois and Frannie nodded and watched him turn and walk out of the kitchen. G: "Wow..my son's married." Lo: "I think he's really happy ma." G: "Yeah?" Lo: "Look at him, watch the way he looks at her..the way his eyes light up when she talks to him." She smiled. "You know just because we're getting older doesn't mean we're not the same kids that ran around driving you crazy..It's strange to look at us then and to look at us now..but all the good that you..is because of you and dad.". G: "I love you girls..with everything in me." Both daughters hugged their mother Fr: "And we love you." When Louie opened the front door he found Lisa sitting on the stoop with Johnny. He stood their and watched them a moment. Jo: "You sure your ok?" Li: "Yeah..I mean so what if my mother-in-law hates me..and.."Sighs "The world can't figure out why we're married." It's new and it's-- Louie's foot hit the door and he closed his eyes frustrated. Lisa turned around and then Johnny. Louie looked at them. Li: "Eavesdropping?" Lou: "No..Johnny can you give me a minute with my wife?" She closed her eyes and turned her head. Johnny looked at her then him and just nodded as he stood and walked into the house. Louie kneeled down behind her and rubbed her shoulders. Lou: "I'm sorry about before." Li: "Which before was that...the one where your mother hates me because we're married, or because you thought you could listen to a private conversation." He sighed. Lou: "My mother doesn't hate you..she just had everything planned out for her kids and it didn't go according to those plans...as for listening to your conversation..I came out here to see if you were ok, and it looks like Johnny beat me to it." They were silent. Lou: "Lee.." She turned around and looked at him. Li: "Is the only reason your staying married to me is for you aliby? Because if this thing...this marriage is ruining your life or coming between your family--" He shook his  head looking at her confused. Lou: "No...Stop will you." He ran his fingers through his hair. "Lisa I used the aliby as an excuse..Yeah it matters, but I want to be married to you. I like having you beside me when I wake up..I like calling you my wife. AS for this ruining my life? Lisa.." He touched her face. "I don't remember being so content..my family isn't used to it..not used to me settled..yet alone married. Give them a chance...give me a chance."He looked down. "But if you want out..I understand." Li: "Till death do us part right?" She touched his face. "I'm sorry..I guess I'm not good at this.. I guess I care to much about what people think..what I'm trying to say is I hate being scrutinized..I hate people thinking the worst of us when we don't even feel that way." G: "Louie, Lisa...I'm sorry to interupt...but the driver called and their a few blocks away." Lou: "Ok ma..we'll be right in." G: "Ok.." She turned to walk into the house but stopped and turned to the couple. "Lisa?" Li: "Yes?" Gloria smiled. G: "Welcome to the family." She looked down and then walked inside. Lisa stared after her and then looked at Louie, he gave her a slight smile. Li: "Let's go inside..wouldn't want to ruin the surprise." Louie nodded, helping her up they walked into the house. Sonny looked across the limo at Brenda who was staring out the window. He leaned forward and touched her knee. S: "You ok?" She looked at him and gave him a weak smile. B: "It feels good to finally be out of hospital bed." S: Your telling me..My ass was getting a little to attached to that chair." He winked and the car stopped. Driver: "Mr. Corinthos, we're here." Adela smiled and looked out of the window. A: "Ah..home sweet home." The driver opened the door and Adela stepped out and walked around the back of the limosine with the driver. She unfolded the wheel chair and held it by the side of the car door. Sonny stepped out as Brenda scooted to the edge of the seat. He kneeled down throwing her legs over his arm and her arms around his neck He lifted her out of the car and placed her gently in the wheel chair. S: "Ma, you wheel Brenda in, I'll get the bags." Sonny loaded his hands with the luggage and followed his mother and Brenda up the ramp/stoop. A: "Sonny you have the keys?" S: "Yeah.." He put the bags down and reached into his pocket pulling the keys out. He unlocked the door and then pushed it open. He held the screen door open as Adela wheeled Brenda in. The lights opened and they were startled when everyone shouted. "SURPRISE!" Sonny laughed. S: "I should've known.." Brenda smiled and shook her head. B: "You guys...Thank you." Gloria walked over to Brenda and hugged. G: "We're just glad your home and your ok...That's all that matters." Brenda held Gloria and whispered. B: "Thank you." N: "Need a hand?" He looked at Sonny. Lois smiled and then looked down. LO: "I can't remember a time where I prayed so hard, for someone other than me." She laughed and looked up at Brenda, tears in her eyes. "The truth is I had to do it..because without you we're not complete..You didn't only change Sonny's life Brenda, you changed us all and for that. I'll always be greatful. So To Brenda...May you make a quick recovery." She smiled and wiped the tears away from her eyes and downed the champaigne. She placed her glass down and walked over to Brenda and hugged her. Lo: "Love ya Girlfriend." Sonny looked at the, and wiped away his own tears quickly. Chapter 145. Brenda was surrounded by Nick and his band. Sonny was standing by the bar with Louie, Jason and Johnny. Carmine was giving them all cigars to try. Frannie and Lois were talking to Lisa. Johnny and Sara were laughing. Carly turned the music up and Grabbed Gallo. Ca: "IS this a PARTY Or What? COME ON GALLO! Let's show 'em how it's done." FG: "Oh dear god.." He threw his head back and Laughed as Carly wiggled down. Brenda shook her head and turned to Nick. B: "You guys find a company to back you?" Drew sighed. Dr: "Nope..We went all over." B: "I'm sorry.." N: "Why are you sorry for it's not your fault Lawrence is an asshole." B: "Yeah but still." Jeff; "No but stills..we'll just wait it out..maybe we can get a deal together." Later that night, when everyone had left. Sonny was walking around the livingroom picking up the garbage. A: "Michael? You go get some sleep, I'll take care of this." S: "Are you sure?" A: "Positive." He walked over and kissed his mother. S: "Thank you...for everything." She smiled. A: "Go now.." He smiled and walked into the old den that had been turned into a bedroom for Sonny and Brenda. When he walked in her saw Brenda sitting in her wheel chair in very deep thought. S: "Whats on that beautiful mind of yours?" She wheeled herself around and looked at him. B: "I was just thinking about Nick and the guys...no one wants to give them a record deal because of the law suit." S: "They're a good group..someone will come through for them.." B: "Yeah I know..in fact your looking at her." His eyebrows furrowed. S: "I don't think I'm getting it..'' B: "Let's face it..I can't really write songs...and it may be a while if ever I sing again." She bit her lip. "What if I started my own record company?" S: "What?" B: "Well I wouldn't do it by myself...I'd ask Carly and Lois to go in with me..we could do something like that couldn't we?" Sonny sat down on the bed and thought about it a moment. S: "IT's alot of work Brenda and you'd be starting at the bottom, with what one band?" B: "Yeah..I mean my name should count for something..and their big, they got alot of fans.." S: "What about you though? This is too much for you right now isn't? I thought you were gonna concentrate on walking.." B: "Well I am, but I need something else to do besides therapy.." He laughed and looked at her. S: "You're something else...You don't want to try and finish your album, you turned my proposal down...all so you can get well and now you want to start a record company." She looked and sighed. B: "I should've known you'd be against it." S: "Now wait a minute Brenda..I'm not against it. I just think you should think about it. It's gonna take alot of time and effort...lots of work, even with two partners to get a company thats gonna launch people's careers, off the ground your gonna half to work your ass off." B: "And I'm willing to do that..The more I have on my plate the more I can be myself." S: "What if it gets in the way of therapy or doctors--" B: "Sonny forget about the doctors..I'm determined to walk..and a record company isn't going to stop that...You make it seem like for 24 hours out of the day I'll be in therapy..The most I'll be there is 3 hours..what the hell am I suppose to do with the rest of my time? Stay in bed..have you sit with me..Look I don't want to put our lives on hold because of this. Bad enough we're not home..I don't want you to drop your work..or anything else...but I can't just sit here all day either."She sighed. "I'm not saying it's definate..I'm gonna talk to the girls tomorrow before they go back to Port Charles..and I don't want to fight about it--" S: "Nobody's fighting..I'm just looking out for you." B: "I know.." She closed her eyes. "Look, why don't we just go to bed." He nodded. S: "Fine."
