Chapter 170. Brenda was holding Briana on her lap, making faces at her just to see her laugh. She looked up when she heard Frannie's voice. Fr: "I'm a mother, a divorcee, I should not be this worried about a date!" Brenda smiled. B: "None the less you look good girl." Frannie bit her lip. Fr:"You sure? It's been a while since I did this." B: "Frannie, come on, you look great. Don't be so nervous." She sighed. Fr: "Your right.." The bell rang. "That's him.." She started to bite her nails when she saw Carmine go to the door. "Oh god not daddy..." Carmine opened the door and Looked at Jackson. Ca: "Who are you?" Jackson offered his hand. J: "Jackson Foyle, is Frannie here?" Car: "Scuse me." He shut the door in his face and turned to Frannie. "Who the hell is that?" Fr: "Daddy! You shut the door in his face." She said frustrated. "He's my date." Car: "Your what?" Fr: "Date...now don't start." She pulled the door open and looked at Jackson. "Sorry..come in." J: "You sure?" Frannie nodded and Jackson walked in. Fr: "Well you've met my father." Car: "(Grunt) It's Carmine.." J: "Nice to meet you." Gloria walked in wiping her hands on a dish towel. G: "Carmine, did you write the check for the florist? We have to pay-- Hello." Fr:" Ma, this Jackson Foyle, Jackson My mother Gloria." Gloria smiled as Jackson shook her hand. Brenda wheeled herself into the hall with Briana in her lap. B: "Well if it ain't the therapist." Car: "HE's your therapist." B: "More like miracle worker..Briana wanted to give her mom a kiss goodbye." Frannie leaned down and kissed Briana a few times. Fr: "Be good sweetheart. If there's a problem just--" B: "We'll be fine..won't we crew?" Car: "Just dandy.." G: "Go have fun!...We've got wedding plans to make!" Jackson' eyes widened and Brenda laughed. B: "There other daughters getting married..Oh shit I wish I had a polaroid" Jackson rolled his eyes and looked at Frannie. J: "Ready?" Fr: "Yeah.." She pulled him out of the house and Brenda smiled as the door closed. B: "What do you think?" Car: "I don't like him." G: "You don't like anyone Carmine...Now go pay the florist." She looked at Brenda. "Is he really a physical therapist?" B: "Yep..and a damn good one too." Lois was sorting out some papers when the phone rang. Lo: "Hello?" Sonny grinned. S: "Cerullo?" Lo: "Corinthos..it's about time your ass called." He laughed. S: "Sorry..I've been busy." Lo: "Well that hurts..to busy to call me?" S: "I said I was sorry. How you doing?" Lo: "Eh...I'm ready to crawl under a rock and die. Sonny! Why are you there and not here! Do you know what is going on? I'm up to my ears with plans for Dreams and not to mention this wedding..Oh my God...My mother thinks Princess Diana is getting married." Sonny smiled. S: "I can't wait..I got the invite." Lo: "Yeah and I already put you down as the first one coming." S: "Bet your ass." Lo: "I miss you." S: "I miss you too.." He sighed." Lo: "So what the fuck is so great over there?" S: "The weather..Jesus Lois, I'm about 3 shades darker then normal..I've met some nice people down here." Lo: "Oh." S: "But there nothing like the people I love." Lo: (Smiles)  "You better say that." S: "I think I found that Latin Dream of yours..I'm just waiting to hear him sing again." Lo: "Really? What's his name?" S: "Miguel.. I was thinking if he does alright this weekend maybe one of the brains in this business can come and give him a deal, then we'll come home together." She smiled. Lo: "You got yourself a deal..only I'm not sure if I can leave..I might have to send someone else." S: "Whatever.." Lo: "Sonny, did you hear?" S: "HEar what?" Lo: "Brenda's nominated for 4 grammy's." There was silence. "Sonny??" S: "Wow.." Paused. "I always knew she would be. Is she happy?" Lo: "When I called she was ecstatic...but she wished someone was there to share it with her." He looked down. S: "Lois.." Lo: "I'm not gonna say anything. You call me when you need me to send someone down." S: "Ok..and try not to get yourself to stressed." Lo :"I will." S: "And one more thing..Tell Brenda I'm happy for her?" Lo: "No." Paused." When you see her you tell her yourself. Love ya." He sighed. S: "Love ya too babe." They hung up. Sonny walked onto the terrace and sighed heavily, he wished he was there with her too. Frannie looked around, when he lead her into a bar and grill type place. He had left his jacket in the car and unbuttoned the top 3 buttons of his shirt. She looked down at herself there she was wearing tight flare pants with a tank top and sweater set. She felt overdressed, and out of place. Jackson looked at her and nudged her. Ja: "You ok?" Fr: "Yeah...where's the ladie's room?" Ja: "Straight ahead..I'll get us a table." Fr: "Ok." He watched her walk away. When she got into the bathroom she looked at herself. She looked like a school teacher. She took off her sweater and stared at herself. Should she leave it off she wondered? Yeah, she decided and then she let her hair down, letting it flow wildly around her shoulders. She sighed and walked out of the bathroom, searching for him. He looked up from the drink list and saw her. His eyes scanned over her and then met with hers. She walked to him, and sat across from him. Fr: "I felt over dressed." He threw her a smile. J: "You look good either way." Fr: "Thanks." She sighed and sat back, looking around. He watched her a for a moment. J: "Are you ok?" She let out a breath and looked at him. Fr: "Ok Listen..it's been a while since I've been on a date..I was married for 3 years." J: "Your doing fine." She squinted. Fr: "You think?" He laughed. J: "Yeah..losen up, relax..and have a good time." Fr: "OK." The waiter came over to them. W: "Can I get you something to drink?" J: "I'll have a corona." He looked at Frannie, who looked over the drink list. Fr: "A  Long Island iced-tea." The waiter nodded and walked off to the bar. J: "So, is Frannie short for anything?" Frannie cringed. Fr: "Francine." J :"I take it you don't like it?" She shook her head. Fr: "I'm sorry I was such a bitch before." Jackson shrugged. J: "Don't sweat it..I've dealt with Brenda, I can deal with you." The waiter placed their drinks infront of them. Fr: "So tell me..it doesn't bother you that I have a kid?" Jackson shook his head and drank his beer. J: "Why would it?" Fr: "Well it would bother alot of people." J: "Not me. So why'd ya get a divorce?" Fr: "Can we not talk about this?" J: "Sure." He watched her drink her drink. "Haven't drank in awhile have you?" Fr: "No it's hard when ya have a baby..How could you tell?" Jackson grinned. J: "I have my ways.." He leaned over. "So Frannie you wanna have some fun tonight?" Fr: "Sure..why not." She smiled. J: "Waiter!...Bring the lady a shot of tequila." Frannie laughed. Lisa turned over and looked at Louie, sprawled out on his stomach, naked across their new bed. She was on her side looking at him, watching as he slept. She trailed her fingers over his muscular arm, leaning over she kissed his shoulder. She gently slid out of bed, letting sheet fall from her body, she bent down and opened a suitcase pulling out a robe. She slid it on and tied it tightly at her waist. She looked at Louie one more time before creeping out of their bedroom. She stopped at the foot of the stairs and looked towards the spare room. She turned and walked into it, looking around the room that was full of boxes and trying to imagine it as a nursery. She shook her head and walked down the stairs. She walked into the kitchen and turned on the light. She sat at their table and threw her head in her hands. She stayed like that for a few moments before she lifted her head and picked up the phone she dialed a number and waited for someone to pick up. Li: "Brenda?" Brenda was playing with Briana on her bed. B: "Lisa..what's up?" Li: "Are you busy?" B: "No." She squinted. "I'm just watching Briana, is something wrong?" Li: "I just..I need someone to talk too." B: "Ok, I'm glad you called." Li: "You gotta promise you'll keep this between us." B: "I promise." Li: "Thanks.."She sighed. B: "Tell me what's wrong." Li: "The other night when me and Louie watched Briana...we were just talking like, what if? You know?" B: "Mmmhmm.." Li:"Yeah well..it lead to something more.." She closed her eyes. "Louie wants to have a baby." Brenda's eyes widened and she sat up. B: "Wow..well I wasn't expecting that." Li: "Yeah neither was I." B: "Well how do you feel?" Li: "I don't think anyone should have children without being in love..You know I now how it feels to be a child of that..and I don't want my kids to feel that." B: "Did you tell Louie that?" Li: "Yeah but he doesn't agree..he thinks that it's different because we want this to work. We don't want to leave eachother. Brenda I married him for the wrong reasons, I don't want to have a baby with for those reasons too. I want to have a baby with him, because theres love." B: "Lisa, you gotta be straight with me..and I promise I won't say a word..Do you love Louie?" Lisa looked down at the table, and was silent. B: "Lisa?" When she lifted her head tears were falling from her eyes. Li: "Yeah..I love him." She gasped. "It's the first time I said that.." She wiped her eyes. "I love Louie, so much more than I thought I could love someone..I didn't want this..I didn't, but now I don't want anything else but this.." B: (Softly) "So Lisa, if you love him, then what's stopping you from having a baby? I mean you just said you don't want a baby to be brought up where theres no love...but you love him." Li: "He doesn't love me.." She laughed slightly. "But what else is knew..I feel like everything in mylife is repeating." Brenda smiled. B: "Lisa, you don't think he loves you? Your wrong..I know Louie a long time..his sister knows him the longest and she even saw it..How come you never told Louie you love him?" Li: "Because for the first time I'm scared...I'm scared of being hurt again, I don't want to lose him because I don't think I can handle it. It's like if I keep it to myself and try not to believe it, I'm protecting myself in away." She sighed. "But theres more...I..what if he doesn't feel the same? Scratch that..I know he doesn't. Maybe he cares but he doesn't love." B: "Why because he hasn't said the words? Neither have you, but you still love him. Ever think that he's just as confused as you..just as scared?" Li: "No-" B: "You don't know that..I'm telling you, Louie's just as scared as you. You two have something so big infront of you, so delicate..neither one of you want to lose it..so your playing your cards safely...to safe." Li: "I don't know what to do.." B: "I can't tell you to tell Louie you love him, you have to do that on your own...But if you want to have a baby..and the only thing that's stopping is you is that your worried he doesn't love you then theres only one way to tell if he's not saying it. Watch the way he treats you..the simplest gesture, a look in his eyes..anything that says "I love you" guaranteed you'll find one..and when you do..don't hold back. Lisa I can't explain how it feels to carry the man you love's baby..." She closed her eyes and took a moment. She whispered hoarse. "It's the best feeling in the world." Lisa was silent. Li: "So what your saying is that I should look for his way of telling me that he loves me and if I find it, I should do whats in my heart." B: "Yeah.." Li: "Thanks..Brenda." She sighed. "I needed to talk to someone." B: "I'm glad you feel you could talk to me." Li: "Maybe we're really becoming sisters." B: "I'd like to think so." Li: "Me too.." She took a deep breath. "So tell me how's everything with you." B: (Smiles)"Good...The doctor thinks I should be walking for Lois's wedding..he's gonna make me start standing and moving my legs this week..I guess you didn't hear." Li: "Here what?" B: "I'm nominated for 4 grammy's." Li: "Get out of here!" She smiled. "Your gonna win 'em all." B: "I'll be happy with one." Li: "Wait till Louie hears." B: "(Laughs)I could just imagine." Li: "So your watching Briana?" B: "Yep me and my girl are watching the Rugrats.." She laughed." Frannie's on a date with my physical therapist." Li: "Look at her go... damn." The girls laughed. Frannie slammed the empty shot glass onto the table, adding them to the other 7 she had downed.  SHe shook her head and looked at Jackson. Fr: "What's the matter you can't keep up?" He laughed. J: "Maybe you should take a break.." Fr: "You know I don't get you guys.." She was more than drunk. "You think you can just tell us woman what to do and when you've had enough..you drop us..You all are the same..just a bunch of assholes and Ritchie's the king.." J: "Rithie's.." Fr: "The piece of shit who left me and his daughter, for his secretary...Her boobs are not real!" Jackson held back a laugh. Fr: "And her smile...let's just say denture cream is gonna come in handy for her." She looked sad all of a sudden. "But she's so pretty.." She hit her head against the table. J: "Hey..hey.." He lifted her head and looked at her. "I'm sure she's got nothing over you.." Fr: (Crying) "She's blonde.." Jackson laughed. J: "So what..I was always a sucker for brunettes, gorgous ones.." Fr: "Your with the wrong one then.." J: "Not from where I'm sitting." Fr: "You don't have to try and make me feel better..." J: "I'm not..I'm just saying the truth." Frannie sniffled. Fr: "I ruined our date didn't I?" J: "Nah.."He winked. She leaned closer and looked at him. Fr: "So...now what?" J: "Well we can do whatever you want...you want to go for coffee..maybe--" Fr: "Why don't we go to your place." She raised her eyebrows. Jackson sighed and leaned back in his chair. She wanted to go back to his place...that would be fine with him, accept she was bombed and he couldn't tell if it was what she really wanted or not. Lisa walked into their bedroom and shut the door. She sighed and walked to the bed, sat down and was silent. She heard him move around and when she looked at him he was fighting to open his eyes. He looked at her. Lou: (Groggy) "Lee?" Li: "Hey..go back to sleep." He closed his eyes, yawning. Lou: "What's wrong?" She shook her head and leaned down. Li: "Nothing.." She leaned down and kissed his lips gently. Lou: "You coming to bed?" Li: "Yeah." She slid her robe off and he looked at her groaning. Lou: "I want you again.." She cuddled next to him, wrapping her arms around him, as well as one leg. "Give me a minute to wake up." She smiled and kissed his shoulder. Li: "We don't have to." She layed her head against his shoulder. "Just hold me." He wrapped his arms around her. He closed his eyes as he ran his hands down her back. Lou: "Your so soft." She buried her face in his chest and smiled. Li: "Your so hard." He looked at her and grinned, watching her laugh. Lou: "So what do you think about our bed?" Li: "I felt like a queen when we were .."Grins."making love.." She smiled. "It's perfect." She laughed. "So's the couch." Louie grinned. Lou: "We're animals." She shifted so she was fully ontop of him and looked at him. Li: "I can't help it..I can't get enough." She winked and wrapped her arms around him, pressing her body against his. She kissed his lips, parting them, her tongue sought his. They kissed passionately until she pulled out of the kiss. "Goodnight." Lou:(whisper) "Night.." Jackson looked at her. Ja: "Frannie..I don't." Fr: "You don't want to sleep with me." She laughed and looked down. J: "You don't know what I want. But what I want and what I can do are two different things." Fr: "You know I'm tired of excuses." She stood up and grabbed her purse. "I don't need this." J: "Where are you going?" Fr: "Thats none of your business." J:"Ok your mad..at least let me take you home." Fr: "I don't want to go anywhere with you!" J: "You just wanted to go to bed with me!' Fr: "Yeah well I'm drunk!" Jackson sighed and threw some money on the table, he grabbed her wrist. Fr:" HEY Get your hands off of me you...you.." J: "Shut up and walk." He shuffled her out of the bar/grill. Fr: "No man orders me around..I'm perfectly capable to get home on my own without YOU!" He pushed her into the car and shut it. He sighed. J: "Well that went well.." Chapter 171. The week had gone by quickly for everyone. Who was busy working, who was busy recovering, whatever the case..time was flying by..It was Friday afternoon, just 2 weeks before Lois and Ned's wedding. Frannie, Brenda, and Gloria were on their way up to Port Charles. The gang was preparing for another night at Lucky Sevens in between building a perfect Record Company. Louie walked down the stairs of his apartment a little after one, his hair was tousled and he was wearing sweat pants. When he reached the bottom step he saw Lisa snuggled on their couch with a huge blanket over her, she brought a tissue to her nose and sneezed. He walked over to the couch and sat next to her, he watched her sneeze again and then break into a cough. When she was finished she threw her head against the back of the couch and closed her eyes. Li: "I think I'm dying." Louie put his hand to her forehead. Lou: "Jesus Christ, your on fire." Li: "Louie I'm half dead and your thinking about sex?!" He laughed. Lou: "I mean you got a fever.." Li: "Oh." She blew her nose. "I woke up this way, and I took half a box of thera-flu, nothings working!" Lou: "Aww my poor baby.." He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. Li: "My throat hurts, my nose is stuffy...I can't breath..and I sound like the Nanny." He grinned and kissed her cheek. Lou: "I'll call a doctor." Li: "Oh no.." She said as he reached for the phone. "I hate doctors..they all just pretend to know what's wrong with people." He laughed and then smiled at her. Lou: "Baby, you might want to add delirious to your symptons." She was about to say something when she started to sneeze again. He dialed a number and as he waited for someone to answer her smoothed her hair. "Lois, do you know if Monica or Alan are on duty tonight?" Lo: "Look just because I'm marrying that family does not mean I associate with them!"She paused. "Why what's up?" Lou: "Lisa's really sick..I want her to see a doctor." Lo: "Hold on I'll give you Alan's beeper number." Lou: "Aright.." Li: "I won't forgive you for this." She started coughing. Lou: "For what, taking you to see a doctor..no we'll just sit here and watch you get worse." Lo: "What?" Lou: "I was talking to Lisa..what's the number." Lo: "917-325-8432." Lou: "Thanks...listen Lo, I don't think we're coming in tonight." Li: "I'm fine!" She sneezed." Lou: "Your not fine.." Li: "Maybe not but you are.." Lou: "Good, then I can take care of you. Lois?" Lo: "Both of you aren't coming in...so what are we suppose to do?" Lou: "Have Ned perform..You go on bar duty and see if Johnny will too." Lo: "Alright..tell Lisa, I hope she feels better." Lou: "I will, thanks Lo." He hung up and started to beep Alan. Li: "You didn't have to stay home too." The phone rang. Lou: "Hello?, Alan..This is Louie Cerullo...yeah..Listen my wife is sick and I hoping maybe you could examine her today? You can...great..Thank you." He hung up and then stood. "Come on baby..we gotta be there in an hour." Lisa whined and then coughed. Li: "Can't we just let it pass?" He tilted his head and looked at her. "Or maybe not.." She sighed. Frannie was driving on the highway, Brenda stared at her from the passenger seat, while Gloria tended to Briana in the back. B: "You know this whole week you've been completely frustrated..and jesus I don't know...and Jackson just doesn't talk..So what happened?" Fr: "I don't want to talk about it..maybe Dr. Foyle will tell you." B: "He won't..I tried." Frannie shook her head and sighed. Fr: "You wanna know what happened? I made a complete ass out of myself!.." B: "How?" Fr: "I drank to much...I told him about Richie and his slut..and then to top it all off I asked him to sleep with me." Brenda's mouth dropped. B: "Well...I didn't think..Well did you?" Fr: "NO he turned me down." B: "Well I'm sure it wasn't because he wasn't interested...I mean he keeps asking about you..and If you mentioned anything." Fr: "He probably thinks I'm telling everyone he's impotent that's why." B: "He asked me if you were coming Monday still." Fr: "Sorry Bren, your gonna have to find a new camera man." B: "Frannie your just gonna leave him hanging? He knows you were drunk." Fr: "So that's suppose to make me feel better?" B: "All I'm saying is your making him make his own assumptions about you, by avoiding him. I think you should go face to face with him and talk it out." Fr: "Ugh..who would've thought I'd be so outta whack with this whole dating thing." Sonny walked into the bar Connie worked in. He saw her behind the bar, stocking the liquor. S: "Hey you.." She turned and smiled. Co: "Your early." S: "Yeah..I thought I could maybe talk to you before we  left." Co: "Something wrong." S: "No.." He sat down. "Tonight, if this guys good one of my friends is coming down to make him a deal..and I was gonna wait until then..but well I want to ask you now." Co: "Ask me what, pa?" S: "TO come to Port Charles with me." She looked at him. Co: "What?" S: "You can take your pick, I've got a bar that we gross about 15,000 every weekend. And now I've got the record company, and we could use a choreographer..and by the way you can shake your hips, I'd say you were perfect." Connie looked down. Co: "I don't know what to say Sonny..it's all very generous." She looked at him. "What about Juan..how do I.." S: "I'm taking care of Juan, he won't stop you. Connie you've got dreams, you got goals..your not accomplish them here. I know it's not your dream job..but it's a start. Co: "What about Renaldo?" S: "Renaldo could work for me in Port Charles, in fact we've already discussed it." Connie ran her fingers through her hair. Co: "When are you going back." S: "Two weeks from yesterday." Co: "Juan can't know." S: "No..You could stay but things are gonna get ugly." Co: (Nodds) "I know..Well I think I'd be a fool to say no." He tilted his head. S: "So you'll come?" Co: "Yeah.." She smiled and leaned over the bar and hugged. "Thank you." He wrapped his arms around her. S: "No thanks required." She pulled back and looked at him. Co: "No one's ever tried to help me before..tried to help me find a life for myself." S: "You've helped me too." Co: "I did?" S: "Yeah..I came here with nothing but a broken heart and alot of grief..you made me deal with that..and you know these few weeks I'm here I've gotten back to who I was before all this shit happened." Co: "I don't think I had anything to do with that." She smiled and touched his cheek. "I'm glad you came here.." S: "Me too." He dimpled."So what do you say Ms. Nievez..Shall we go see the next star of Dream Records?" Co: "Si Papi!" She grinned. Jason walked into Lucky Seven's and saw Lois working on stocking the bar. Ja: "Hey..where's Louie?" Lo: "Well he decided to play doctor with Lisa. She's sick and he's the nurse maid." Jason laughed. Ja: "So who's working?" Lo: "Ned and Johnny." Ja: "Oh this is gonna be a long night." Lo: "Yeah.." Ja: "Lois, I've been meaning to talk to you." Lo: "If it's about the wedding. I don't care...I don't care if your tux doesn't fit..If your shoes are green and your shirt is blue--" Ja: "It's about Carly." Lo: "What'd she do this time? Dye her hair a shade lighter?" Ja: "Seriously. Something's bothering her and she won't tell me what it is." Lo: "Maybe shes just stressed with the company and everything. I mean it's kind of hard now with Brenda out of the loop." Jason shook his head. Ja: "I wish it was that...but it's something more..Something's scaring her." Lois looked at him. Lo: "You really are worried aren't you?" Ja: "Yeah..I know Carly and she shrugs everything off..for god sakes she laughs at death...something is wrong." Lo: "Ok..I'll talk to her..but Jason if she won't tell you what's wrong what makes you think she's gonna tell me." Ja: "It's worth a shot." He sighed. Lo: "I want to know what you all are gonna do when I'm on my honeymoon." She winked. Ja: "We'll have to ship Gallo, out here." Lois laughed. Louie opened the door to their apartment and held it open for Lisa to walk in. Li: "DIdn't I tell you doctors are useless?" Lou: "They may be useless but they prescribe drugs."He shut the door. "Go upstairs and put your pajama's on..I'll be right up with your medicine." She raised an eyebrow. Li: "What?" Lou: "We should've gotten your hearing check..'' Li: "Yeah and we should've had you take a CAT scan." Lou: "BED..Now!" She mumbled under her breath and started up the stairs as he took his jacket off. He sighed and poured her a glass of water and took her medicine and headed upstairs. He walked into the bedroom and saw her climbing into the bed with a box of tissues under her arm. Li: "Baby, it's not to late for you to go to work." Lou: "I'm starting to think you want to get rid of me." Li: "No.." She thought about it and he shoved the pills infront of her. Lou: "Here take these." She took them from his hand and looked at him. Li: "I'm sorry I'm being a pain." She took the glass and swallowed the pills. Lou: "No your not." She looked at him. Li: "Maybe.." She felt a sneeze coming on and he handed her a bunch of tissues. "ACHOO!" Lou: "Bless you." He stood. "Get some rest." Li: "Where you going?" Lou: "I'm gonna cook you some..chicken soup." Her eyes widened. Li: "Your gonna cook chicken soup?" He shrugged. Lou: "Well I'm gonna try." She smiled slightly, Li: "Can't we just settle for campbells?" Lou: "How hard can it be?" He kissed her forehead. "Don't worry about a thing.." Lisa snuggled under the covers and watched him walk out. She sighed when he was out of sight and closed her eyes. Louie hurried down the stairs and picked up the phone. Carmine puffed on his cigar as he picked up the phone. Car: "Hello?" Lou: "Pop...I need your help." Car: "What'd you do this time." Lou: "Nothing! Lisa's sick." Car: "Well it's about time! I can't wait to tell your mother..she'll knit the kid a blanket..Your our only chance to carry on the name..-" Lou: "She's not pregnant." He blew out a breath. Car: "So then why'd you call.." Lou: "Because I want to make her some soup..but I don't know how." Car: "Well what did you want me to do? I've been eating off ya ma for the last 25 years." Lou: "Try to be normal!" He sighed> "Go in ma's book and read me the recipe while I do it." Car: "Hello I'm paying for long distance here--" Lou: "No your not, I am." Car: "In that case, you know where the book is?" Lou: "In the cabinet...what does she use, a frying pan a bowl?" Car: "One of those big round things..ya know a big pot." He opened the cabinet and pulled out the book. "So what's Lisa got?" Lou: "The flu.." He pulled a pot out of the cabinet and put it on the stove. "She's pretty sick." Car: "Are you sure..because last time your mother thought she had the flu she popped you out 9 monthes later." Lou: "Pop..knock it off with the baby thing alright?" Car: "You sterile?" Lou: "NO I'M NOT STERILE!" He sighed. "You got the recipe?" Car: "Yeah you got a chicken?" Louie looked in the freezer. Lou: "Chicken nuggets.." Car: "Well it says a whole chicken..but a bird's a bird right? First fill the pot up with water." Louie did as he was told and then put the filled pot on the stove." Lou: "Aright now what." Car: "Well throw the bird in the water.. I guess." Louie threw nugget by nugget into the water. Lou: "You know this cooking thing ain't so hard.." Car: "Not at all.. You got an onion?" Lou: "Yeah.." Car: "Throw one of those in there." Louie pulled the onion out of the fridge, examining it, still in it's skin. Lou: "I shouldn't like chop it?" Car: "Nah..it's just for flavor.'' Louie shrugged and threw the onion in. Lou: "What else does ma put in..oh carrots!' Car: "YEah Yeah! And celery." Lou: "Right." He pulled the vegetables out and looked at them. "Just throw them in there, but there still long?" Car: "Yeah but after they're cooked I think your mother cuts 'em up or something." Lou: "YEah..." He threw the carrot sticks and celery into the pot, then covered it. "Now I should just let it cook?" Car: "YEah it normally takes her an hour or so..You gotta boil macaroni, you got stars." Lou: "No..we only got the ronzoni shit." Car: "Listen when your ma get's there..let her take you shopping." Lou: "Aright, thanks pop..I think I got it under control." Car: "See that...my son..cooking for his wife..It's not normal..but it's nice." Louie laughed. Lou: "I'll talk to ya later..." Car: "Aight, ciao." Louie hung up the phone and sighed. Lou: "Chef Louie.." He grinned and crossed his arms at his chest. Lucky Sevens was just as busy as usual and Ned surprisingly was entertaining the crowd. Lois looked up at Ned as he sang and dance on the bar and smiled. Lo: "In just a few weeks, he'll be my husband." Ca: "My deepest condolences." Lo: "Blondie..shut up.." She smiled. "YOU GO NEDLY!" N: "I know you want to leave me... But I refuse to let you go If I have to beg and plead For your sympathy I don't mind because Thats how much you mean to me." He unbuttoned his top button and shook his head as he jumped up and then started to twist. He got down on his knees and motioned as though he was begging. Lois and Carly jumped on the bar and looked at him beg, theys hook their heads and drowned him in liquor. N: "Ain't to proud to beg And you know it Please don't leave me girl Ain't to proud to plead Baby Baby Please don't leave me girl." He jumped up and Lois laced one arm around his and Carly the other, The three walked across the bar and kicked up their heels as he sang. N: "Now I heard a crying man Is half a man With no sense of pride But If I have to cry to keep you I don't mind weeping If it'll keep you by my side." Lois and Carly moved a way and watched him crawlon his knees beggin.  Lois leaned down and he opened his mouth and she poured it down his throat. He jumped up and wrapped an arm around each girls waist. N: "Ain't to proud to beg And you know it Please don't leave me girl Ain't to proud to plead Baby Baby Please don't leave me girl." He twirled them away and leaned over the crowd and sang. N: "If I have to sleep On your door step all night and day Just to keep you from walking away Let your friends laugh Even this I can stand Because I want to keep you Anyway I can." Jason looked at Johnny and Laughed. Ja: "To think she's marrying him...Our Bail Chic." Ned Jumped off the bar and started to twist through the crowd. N: "Ain't to proud to beg And you know it Please don't leave me girl Ain't to proud to plead Baby Baby Please don't leave me girl." Lois grinned as her and Carly danced in the flames. Lo: "That's my man!" Ca: "Ssh! People might actually hear you say that!" Lisa was groggily watching the 11-O-Clock news when Louie walked in carrying a salad bowl full of soup. She could see the carrot sticks hanging over the rim and the leaf of the celery as well. Li: "What's that?" Lou: "Soup.." He put it on the night table and helped her sit up. "How you feel?" Li: "Not too bad..." She sniffled and sat up. He placed the bowl of soup infront of her and she looked at it. "Louie, why is it white?" Louie looked at the bowl and then tilted his head. Lou: "I don't know..I think it was the onion." She picked at the carrot stick, pulling it out of the bowl. She looked at it then him. Lou: "I thought it would shrink?" He filled the spoon with the soup. "Here it's not that bad.." She looked at the chicken nugget that looked soggy. "WE didn't have a whole chicken!" She covered her mouth and made a face. Li: "I think I'm gonna throw up.." He put the bowl back on the table and looked at her. LoU: "I'm sorry.." She let the nausea pass and then shook her head. Li: "No don't be.." She sipped the water and then looked at him. "I think it was cute...you know? You trying to cook for me.." Lou: "I'm not very good at this am I?" Li: "Cooking?" Lou: "Taking care of you...I think that's because the last time I ever took care of anything, LIVE, we wound up flushing Goldie down the toilette." She chuckled and then smiled, taking his hand in hers. Li: "You tried, and that's all that matters..I mean you got me to go to a doctor." She touched his cheek. "I gotta sneeze." He laughed and handed her a tissue, watching her catch the sneeze with it. "You know I'm not hungry anyway.." She blew her nose. Lou: "What can I do for you then?" He whispered as he moved her hair out of her eyes. Li: "Lay down with me..You've been cooking all night, I kinda miss you.'' He grinned. Lou: "I could do that." She smiled and moved over so he could get into bed. He leaned back against the headboard and brought her to his chest, He stroked her hair and looked down at her. Lou: "You comfortable." Li: "Mmhmm."She watched the t.v. while he looked at her. He leaned down and kissed her head before turning to the T.V. "What was that for?" Louie shrugged. Lou: "I just wanted to." She snuggled closer. Li: "How do you think the club is doing, without us?" Lou: "They're managing...they always do." His hands wrapped around and caressed her stomach, one moved to her side. She looked down and then closed her eyes. Li: "Louie, how long was Frannie married before she had Briana." Lou: "About two years..it was an accident..Richie didn't want kids for another 3 years..But Frannie wanted them from the very beginning." He smiled. "She was ecstatic..we all were..and you know even Richie was.." He looked down at her. "Why?" Li: "I was just wondering...I probably won't be able to see her this weekened." Lou: "Why not?" Li: "I don't want to get her sick." Lou: "I don't think a quick visit will hurt her.'' He paused. "You love her don't you?" Li: "It's hard not to.."She closed her eyes as she yawned. Lou: "Go to sleep baby." Li: "Mm..you gonna too?" Lou: "Yeah." He shut the T.V. off and pulled the covers over them. "Feel better in the morning." She kissed his chest. Li: "Night." She closed her eyes and snuggled against him, he looked down at her and mouthed, I love you, as he watched her fall into her slumber. Chapter 172. Louie watched the coffee drip, slowly. Frustrated that it was taking so long he removed the pot and poured himself half a cup. He tried to shove it back onto the plate when the door bell rang. He sighed and walked out of the kitchen towards the door when he noticed Lisa walking down the stairs blowing her nose. Lou: "What're you doing out of bed?" Li: "(blows hers nose) "My ass was falling asleep!" He opened the door and his mother scolded him. G: "IT's about time you answered the door...I'm getting old..My hip hurts!" She pushed him aside and walked in. Fr: "Keep her will you?" B: "It was her idea we come this early." G: "Oh the place is nice!" Frannie rolled her eyes and pushed Briana's stroller into the apartment, Brenda following. G: "Oh my God..Lisa are you ok?" Lisa was about to speak when instead she sneezed. Lou: "She's got the flu." Li: "I'm fine though, really..ACHOO!" G: "Oh dear..you just sit down, I'll go make you some tea." B: "Did you go to a doctor?" Louie lifted Briana out of her stroller. Li: "Yeah he made me!...What a waste!" Louie rolled his eyes and turned to his sister. Lou: (Mumbles) "She's so stubborn." Fr: "Reminds my of someone I know." She winked and then the phone rang. Louie sighed and started for the kitchen holding Briana in one arm, as he passed Lisa he slapped her ass with the free hand and then picked up the phone. Lou: "Hello?" He smiled at his wife as she shook her head and threw herself on the couch with Frannie. Lo: "I HATE YOU!" Lou: "Good morning to you too Lo," He shook his head. Lisa looked at Frannie. Li: "How was your date?" Fr: (Groan) Let's not talk about it.." Lisa started to cough. B: "You didn't go to work like that did you?" Li: "No, my boss wouldn't let me." She rolled her eyes. "So he stayed home too, so he could take care of me because he thinks I can't take care of myself." Fr: "Aww...my brothers got a soft spot!" B: "I could imagine what you two did all alone, in your new place." She grinned and Lisa laughed. Li: "Not that..he cooked for me..or at least tried." Fr: "What was it?" Li: "Chicken soup, it was white with chicken nuggets and whole celery and carrots." The girls laughed. G: "Frannie, Come give me a hand!" Fr: "OH jesus.." She hurried into the kitchen leaving the two sisters alone. B: "So, did you find what you were looking for?" Lisa was about to answer her when Gloria hurried in. G: "I hope you like tea with Honey..now you just sit back and drink the whole thing." Fr: "Ma, what are you Florence Henderson now?" Louie hung up the phone and bit his lip. Lou: "Ma can I talk to you a minute?" G: "Sure.." He handed Briana to Frannie. Li: "Everything ok?" Lou: "Yeah.." He walked into the kitchen. "That was Lois, lastnight I took off from work to take care of Lisa, I really can't do it again. I was wondering if maybe after you were done shopping with Lois for her dress you could come here and take care of her for me? You know maybe make her that soup you would make whenever one of us was sick?" Gloria smiled and patted her sons cheek. G: "OF course I will." Lou: "Thanks ma..can you just make sure she takes her medicine too? She's really stubborn with that." G: "You don't worry about a thing..I'm gonna make a list of groceries, you go get them and when I come back I'll start cooking." Louie hugged his mother. Lou: "Your a goddess." G: "Oh stop.." She smiled and lead him out into the livingroom. "Frannie let's get a move on..we have to drop Brenda off at Carly's--" Fr: "I'm going with her, so I'm gonna drop you off at Lo's." Louie was heading up the stairs. Lou :"You guys gonna pass by the club tonight?" B: "Probably not." Fr: "We'll just see you tomorrow." He blew them a kiss then hurried up the stairs. Li: "Well I guess I'll see yous tomorrow, I can't miss the fitting." B: "Lois would hang you.. I'll call you later." Li: "Ok." She smiled. G: "And I"ll be back in no time sweetheart, anything I can get you--" Li: "Huh?" G: "Nevermind..I think Louie know's what to get." B: "Bye.." Fr: "C'mon ma.." She shook her head and shuffled her mother out of the apartment, closing the door behind her. Lisa stared at the door. Li: "Bye.." She looked up when she heard Louie bound down the stairs. Lou: "Lee, you know where my keys are?" Li:"Hold it!" He looked at her Lou: "What?" Li: "What the hell's going on..where you going.." Lou: "To the store.." Li: "And your mother, she's coming here?" Lou: "I asked her to come and take care of you, because I have to go to work tonight." Li: "Louie!" She sighed. "I can take care of myself." Lou: "No you wouldn't take care of yourself..I had to force you to go to a doctor! Now my mother doesn't mind..just let me do this for you, ok?" He sighed. Lisa shook her head. Li: "I'm not a baby Louie." Lou: "No but your my wife, and I want you to get better..Don't argue with me..by now you should know I always win." He winked and walked over to her, kissing her forhead. "I won't be long." Li: "K.." She tilted her head, watching him leave. "Louie?" He turned. "Thanks." He smiled slightly. Lou: "Your welcome." Carly opened the door to Frannie and Brenda, holding a cup of coffee. Ca: "Hey.." B: "What happened to you, you look like shit." Fr: "Runned over twice." Ca: "Anything else?" B: "You have the papers?" Ca: "Yeah." She closed the door after they came in. B: "Ok I spoke to Diane Warren, she's excited about joining the team--" Ca: "Does Lisa know about whats her face yet?" B: "About Sara working for us? No I didn't tell her..." Ca: "How she feeling?" Fr: "Louie's trying to kill her with food poisoning." B: "Aww, I think it's sweet." Ca: "Do you know how fucked up we were last night without them? The club was packed and we were so short-handed." B: "He's going in today but she's staying home." Ca: "All I know is I'm NOT singing." Brenda laughed and looked at Frannie. B: "We want to ask you something." Fr: "Ask away." She took Briana out of her carriage. Ca: "Why don't you and the baby move here?" Frannie looked at Carly wide-eyed. Fr: "Are you insane?" B: "We want you to work for us at Dream Records." Fr: "Brenda...I can't do an--" Ca: "Receptionist." B: "Frannie you and I spend alot of time together and I know you want to move on with your life..so why not now?" Fr: "Because..I just can't pick up and move." Ca; "Why not? We did.." B: "Your parents are thinking about moving here anyway now with Louie married and Lois on her way. Your family is here and so is a great job." Frannie looked down. Fr: "Just pick up and leave...Just like that." Ca: "Richie obviously wants nothing to do with Briana, so if thats what your holding back on..don't. He's not worth it." B: "It's just you and your daughter now, make a life for you and her." Frannie looked down at her baby, stroking her hair. Fr: "I..when?" B: "After the wedding...I'll be done with therapy and we'll come home together." Frannie looked at her. Fr: "Ok." Ca: "Yeah?" Fr: "Yeah." They smiled. Gloria fingered the lace on one of the gowns as she waited for her daughter to emerge from the dressing room. Lo: "Ma?" Gloria turned and her breath caught when she set eyes on her daughter. The gown fit her perfectly, a classic. She spun around and for a moment Gloria invisioned her on her first holy communion. Lo: "What do you think?" Tears fell from Gloria's eyes and Lois' face fell. Lo: "You don't like it?" Gloria shook her head. Lo: "What?" G: "It's perfect...oh god Lois, you look beautiful, like a queen." She grinned. Lo: "Yeah? Because you know I kinda feel like one in this dress." G: "Stunning..oh wait until your father sees you." She wiped her eyes. "Not to mention Ned." Lois smiled at her mother and touched her cheek. Lo: "No tears...this is a happy occassion." G: "I know." She nodded and spoke hoarse. "But I can't help but feel like I'm losing my baby girl. Lois you grew up so fast...it feels like just yesterday you were playing house and Louie was ripping the heads off of your dolls." Lois laughed and tears filled in her own eyes. Lo: "Your not losing me...your gaining..Well I dunno if that's gonna make it any better..we are talking about Ned." They smile. "I love him, I do..I think we're gonna be really happy together." G: "I know yous will be." Lo: "Theres a few things I want to tell you." She sighed and sat down, the dress sprawled out over the chair. "I'm glad you made me go through with the big wedding..it's gonna be perfect you know? I'm marrying the man of my dreams in front of God and infront of everyone I love." She took her mothers hand. "Thank you...and I don't mean just for the wedding, I mean for my whole life." Tears rolled down her cheeks. "Everything good in me I got from you and everything I know, I learned from you and I'm pretty proud of who I am." She paused and looked at Gloria who was hysterical. "I love ya, ma..and I was wondering if you'd do me the honor of sharing a special dance with me at my wedding?" Gloria covered her mouth with her hand and then pulled her daughter to her and hugged her tightly. G: "Lois Marie, I'd be honored." Lois smiled as she leaned her head against her mothers shoulder and closed her eyes. Night had fallen and it was around eight. Louie was putting on his chains when Lisa walked into the bathroom, putting her hair up in a messy ponytail. Lou: "Hey baby...how you feeling?" He straigtened out the chain and then turned around and touched her cheek. Li: "Stop worrying about me." She smiled slightly. "I sound like a fog horn don't I?" He smiled. Lou: "Maybe just a little." He kissed her nose and she groaned. Li: "You smell nice." Lou: "So you groan?" She pulled back and looked at him. He was wearing black pants and a grey dress shirt with the sleeves casually rolled up to his elbows. His hair was slicked and spiked and he looked gorgous. Li: "And you look even better." He raised and eyebrow, with a half smile spread on his lips. Lou: "Lee?" Li: "Be good you hear?" She poked his chest. "I'm not there to watch you.." She grinned slightly. "I can't have you stray away from me and have you mom cook for me." He looked at her seriously. Lou: "Are you kidding?" She bit her lip and sighed. Li: "A little bit?" Louie sighed and moved closer to her, his body pressing against hers. He lifted her chin and looked at her. Lou: "I'm not going anywhere I told you that. IF I could I'd rather stay home and baby you all night, truth is it's not as fun without you...I mean who do I got to watch dance and sing to me."She smiled slightly and he leaned down and kissed her lips lightly. " Don't worry..I'm always good." Li: "HA!" She placed another kiss on his lips. "I don't want you to get sick.'' Lou: "I better go, is there anything you need before I go?" She shook her head. Li: "Nope, Gloria already spoon fed me the medicine and is cooking me soup and.."Grins "Chocolate cake." He smiled at her. Lou: "Enjoy, baby." He gave her another quick kiss and then headed out of the bathroom. Lisa looked at herself in the mirror wide-eyed. Li: "Jesus.." Louie ran down the stairs, as he put on his leather jacket. He hurried into the kitchen where his mother was cooking a storm. G: "Oh my, you look handsome." She smiled at him as she wiped her hands on a dish cloth. Lou: "Yeah well I get that from my mom, she's just to sexy!" She shook her head and laughed. G: "What am I gonna do with you?" He shrugged and kissed her cheek. Lou: "Thanks for doing this ma.." G: "Stop, it's nothing. I love Lisa, we'll be just fine.' Louie smiled. Lou: "I'm really glad you like her." She shook her head. G: "Love Louie, I mean it. She's a wonderful person and  my god, I don't think I've ever seen you so happy." She smiled and touched his cheek. "She definately is your better half." Louie sighed and nodded. Lou: "That she is." He glanced at his watch. "I gotta bounce.." He kissed her again. "If she gets worse or something...call the club." G: "GO! We'll be fine!" Louie nodded and headed out. Moments later she heard the door shut and she smiled to herself, as she thought about how much in love her son was. Gloria didn't even notice Lisa walk into the kitchen. Li: "Can I help you with anything?" Gloria turned and tilted her head. Lisa has Louie's grey sweats on and a white t-shirt, and Volkswagon slippers. Gloria smiled and shook her head. G: "I think thats the first time anyones asked to help me in the kitchen. Thank you sweetie, but I got it. Why don't you go rest?" Li: "Nah, I'm tired of that." She smiled and sat down at the breakfast nook. "So how'd Lois' fitting go?" G: "Well..she took my breath away." Lisa smiled. Li: "I bet..I can't wait to see her." She paused. "I once planned a big wedding in my future, I even drew a dress." She laughed. "The dress has to be perfect..." G: "IT is..." She sat down across from her and started dicing an onion. "You didn't have a big wedding the first time either?" Lisa shook her head. Li: "No he didn't want one, he figured I was lucky he was even marrying me." She shrugged. "I wouldn't have wanted a big wedding with him any how...or to wear the perfect dress for him." G: "Now when you think about it, would you have wanted one with Louie?" Li: "That depends...If me and Louie had a big wedding I wouldn't have wanted to change anything about us, the way we met, our first date...nothing just the wedding...I could've did away with Elvis." She looked down. G: "IT's never too late.." Lisa looked at her and smiled. Li: "I don't think so Gloria." She shrugged and stood putting the onion in the pot. G: "This was Louie's favorite, when he was little." She smiled as she stirred the soup and then covered it. "I remember him waking up with the sniffles and he'd come bounding down the steps "Ma! LOOK I"m Sick..you know what that means!..." Lisa smiled and Gloria shook her head at the happy memory. Li: "Gloria? Could you tell me more about when he was little?" She turned around and smiled. G: "Of course!" Lucky Sevens Was packed, as quick as the drinks were poured they were refilled. The lights dimmed and Ned, Lois and Carly jumped on the stage. Ned had an arm around each girls waist. Carly held the mic for him while Lois ran her fingers over the buttons over his shirtm undoing each one slowly as he sang. N: "Here she comes now Say Mony MOny Shoot em down turn around Come on Mony Hey she given me lovin and I feel alright now You gotta toss and turn and I feel alright now I say Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! YEah! Jason laughed. J: "Favortism?" Lou: "Damn straight." Ned started to wiggle as the bar started up in flames. Ca&Lo: "Mony Mony Mony Mony!" N: "YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! COME ON! COME ON! COME ON! COME ON! FEEL ALRIGHT! IS SAID YEAH! YEAH! BReak it Shake it Mony Mony Up or down turn around Come on Mony! I said dont stop now! Come on Mony! Come on Mony!" Lo& C: "Yeah! YeaH! Yeah!" Louie shook his head and poured the liquor down his OWN throat. Brenda was sitting in the Penthouse alone, staring at the fire when Frannie came down the stairs. Fr: "Bren?" She snapped out of it and looked at her. B: "Hmm?" Fr: "What's wrong?" Brenda shrugged. B: "I just haven't been here in ahwile...without him." Fr: "Aww girl, I'm sorry." Brenda shook her head. B: "So am I..Do you know when I was in the hospital, he asked me to marry him?" Frannie looked at her. Fr: "Brenda.." B: "I said no.." She looked at her. "I said no..to everything I ever wanted." Fr: "Brenda what's meant to be--" B: "HE's meant to be my husband Frannie...and I turned it away..I threw everything we had away..and now what? I'm gonna walk and thats gonna him want to be with me again?" Fr: "I thought the whole point of this was to help you, and to let him see you take your relationship with him seriously." B: "What if thats not enough. What if I really did lose him?" Fr: "Brenda he loves you and that just doesnt go away over a few weeks..hell I dont think it ever does." B: "I should've done things differently. I should've let him because I did need him and I know he needed me..I'm ashamed of how I reacted to this whole thing." Fr: "Brenda theres nothing--" B: "Frannie I almost killed myself..I sent Sonny to Puerto Rico because he couldn't stand to look at me anymore...If Sonny comes back and doesn't want me anymore, I have nobody to blame but myself." She turned and looked back at the fire. Frannie didn't know what to say. It was dark and it was nearly 4:30 in the morning when Louie walked quietly into the dark apartment. He switched on the lights and he noticed his mother squirm on the couch, slowly opening her eyes. G: "Louie?" She spoke full of sleep. Lou: "Yeah." He whispered. "Sorry..." G: "What time is it?" Lou: "4:30 I think.." He yawned. "I'll let you go back to sleep." G: "Why don't I heat you up some food first?" Lou: "No No..I'm just gonna grab--" G: "NO I insist." She started to rise. "I made you a dish, I just have to heat it up." Lou: "Thanks ma." He followed her into the kitchen. Lou: "How was your night?" G: "Good...me and Lisa watched a good movie after dinner with Al Pacino." Louie smiled. Lou: "That's nice..she feel any better?" G: "I think so..why don't you go see for yourself, while I do this." Lou: "K..be right back." He headed up the stairs untucking his shirt as he did so. He walked into his bedroom and finished unbuttoning his shirt. He glanced over at the bed and saw Lisa sleeping in the middle of it all cuddled up. He took of his shirt and hung it on the door knob of the closet. He walked over to the dresser and pulled out a pair of black sweat pants. As he was unbuckling his belt he heard Lisa whisper. Li: "Your home." Her eyes were still closed and she was stretching. Louie walked over to the side of the bed and looked down at her as she slowly opened her eyes. Lou: "I missed you." She moaned and closed her eyes again, slightly smiling. Li: "You did?" Lou: "Mmhmm." He sat down on the edge of the bed and caressed her hair. Li: "I missed you too."She looked at him. "Pick up any broads?" Lou: "Banged a few...nothing like you though."He leaned down pressing his lips over hers. Li: "Your kidding right?" Lou: "Uh huh." He sucked on her lower lip then pulled back and yawned. "Well that killed it." She smiled slightly and touched his cheek. Li: "You look exhausted." Lou: "We were busy tonight." He looked at her. "You feel any better?" Li: "Actually I do."
