Review
Wow, now this is SHIELD fun. Great comic strip action in the tradition
of the great pulp strips like Flash Gordon and Agent X, courtesy
of writer
Alan Moore (yup, that Alan Moore). The
interaction between Fury, Dum Dum and Val is solid and the supporting
character of Naser Al-Idin
makes for a good ally in the typical mold of Salla from the Indiana
Jones movies. For the second half the addition of Annie Wong makes
for a nice karate-chopping comrade for Fury, but it could easily
have been Val. The appearance by the Yellow Claw is a bit of a letdown
and rather odd at that. Thankfully this robot version was never followed
up. All in all quite simple, but plain fun.
