Prologue: Live: Silver Millennium by Greta
In a galaxy where peace is still retained, a person has just been born. But it wasn't just anyone, anywhere. You had to travel past Pluto, the planet which ruled time and space. Past Neptune, which was the planets of the oceans and past Uranus, which controlled the skies and freedom. And also Saturn, the planet that was believed to stand for death and rebirth. These planets were said to be the outer planets of this galaxy. Jupiter followed, the planet standing for power, electricity and thunder. Venus followed and stood for beauty and love. Then came Mars, the planet under the name of fire. Then there was the earth, the blue planet. It had been the first planet with civilization and had a powerful royal family. The only planet left with civilization was Mercury, standing for ice and also knowledge. There was only the sun left, which gave life, but was too hot to hold life. But none of these were as special as the Moon, a small planet circling the earth. The Queen of this proud galaxy, the Solar System, had her throne and kingdom there. And on this day, which had started out normal, something that was special to her and the whole galaxy, happened. Her baby was born. A girl, which was to be the Princess and heir to the throne.
**********
On the small white planet circling the earth, in the beautiful Moon Kingdom Palace, inside a large bedroom, the Queen Serenity sat upright on her bed. Her hair was out of order and her face was sweaty, but a smile was spread across her face. There were people bustling around the bed, all of them smiling. In the Queen's hands was a newborn, washed cleaned, beautiful baby girl. She was wrapped in a fuzzy white towel, so large that it draped unto the Queen's bed. The baby had creamy white skin, and small soft curls of oddly white hair on her head. Her hair seemed to be much like the Queen's; bound up into tiny dumplings at the top of her head. She was smiling slightly, with her eyes closed. Whenever she opened her small little eyes, the most magnificent blue eyes could be seen. The Queen brushed one finger gently across the baby's soft cheek.
"Armina, isn't she beautiful?" the Queen said hoarsely above a whisper. A woman standing particularly close to the Queen, nodded. The woman seemed to be young, but old enough to be an adult. She had shoulder length, deep black curls of hair, which was being held back ever so slightly, by a few pearls. She had deep purple eyes, and a gentle smile was resting on her lips. Suddenly, two small children came running to the bed. It was a boy and a girl; the girl had black hair, bound up in two dumplings on each side of her head. She had beautiful blue eyes, and her face was lit up. Beside her was a boy, taller than her. He had shoulder length, straight white hair, and blue eyes, beautifully standing out from his face. The girl ran over to the Queen's bed, and started blabbering.
"Oh, oh, Queen! Queen Serenity! The, ... the girls have come! All of them! Them, ... them and their respectable parents! Oh, and Mama, they're all so lovely dressed! I should go change as well Mama, shouldn't I? But, Queen, I think you should come outside. They are all waiting, waiting for you, and, ... and, ... the small Princess! And Queen the, ...."
"Luna! Calm down!" Armina had started scolding her daughter.
"But she's quite right Armina. They *are* all waiting, and, ..." Artemis, the small boy, had started taking off at Luna's lead.
"See? We say the same thing Mama! Didn't I tell you?" the small girl said while looking at Artemis thankfully.
"Oh, hush! Both of you!" Armina had no nerve to continue listening to their confusing blabbering. The Queen smiled gently, as she motioned to the two children.
"Well you two, please go and tell all of our visitors that I shall be out in a moment." Smiling warmly, she waved them off. Grinning, Luna grabbed Artemis' hand and led him out of the Queens' bedroom.
"Luna! Slow down, will you! We aren't in such a hurry, ..."
"Yes we are!"
"But at least loosen your grip on my arm, Luna!"
"Oh, Artemis, come on, ...."
As the voices of the children started faltering, Armina sighed.
"So immature, ..."
"... and yet so innocent and pure." The Queen finished Armina's sentence. Only smiling at the Queen, Armina offered her hand.
Grasping it warmly, the Queen pulled herself up.
"Will you please take the little Serenity, Armina?"
"Serenity?" Armina asked while carefully taking the small bundle of life in between her arms. Cradling the small child slightly, she looked at the Queen questioningly. Smiling, the Queen swung her legs over the edges of her large bed.
"Yes. I have decided to call her that. She is truly serene after all, isn't she?" Breathing out the last words, the Queen looked at her baby girl with eyes full of love. Staying silent, Armina mustered her Queen. Ever so serene herself, beautiful, wise. A mother.
"Welcome to motherhood, Serenity." she whispered out. Looking up with lilac eyes, the Queen blinked once.
"Thank you."
Standing up proudly, the Queen carefully took the little Princess from Arminas' arms. Taking a few steps forwards, she walked heading towards her rooms' doors. Upon seeing the Queen wanting to leave, her Guardians bowed once, before opening the doors wide. Motioning towards them, she smiled. Taking graceful steps, she headed towards whichever room Luna and Artemis had come from. Armina stayed behind just a few steps, her hands behind her back. Stopping for just a moment, she tilted her head slightly.
"Dear Goddess Selene, Guardian and Protector of the Moon, let your peace fall upon this innocents Childs' birth, letting it live a happy life. Please, protect her. For the Queen." Having whispered a prayer for the Princess, Armina suddenly sniffled.
"No, this can not be good, there's something that shall happen to her, ... no matter when ..." Whispering these words, she felt something salty touch her lip.
"Armina, where are you? We are getting late, you know!" The Queen had turned around, looking at her close friend and advisor from afar.
"I shall be coming, don't worry Queen." Armina said out loud. Quickly wiping the one tear she had shed, away, she continued walking, her pace fastened up, the Queen still waiting for her.
**********
The years seemed to pass slow, but pass away they did. The young baby Princess, who was the shining light in the galaxy, grew to a child. As the years passed, something else happened as well. It went unnoticed, unnoticed to the child. Unnoticed to the innocent and young. Maybe Armina had not been all wrong to have prayed for the little baby Princess, as her destiny seemed to be blocked by a veil still to lift.
**********
Sitting in her room, on a large armchair, a book on her lap, the Queen tried harshly to stay awake. It was late, but to work for her Kingdom, it would never be too late. Working through the silence of the night, she flipped more pages, a pencil working it's way through different sentences of many words in foreign languages. Suddenly, the slight sobbing and weeping of a soft voice could be heard. Looking up, the Queen saw a small girl entering her room. She wasn't very tall. She had creamy skin, and long, beautiful white hair, reaching down almost to the floor. She wore a beautiful white dress, traced with pearls, and lined with swirls if gold. Her dress was held back by a large, silky bow. The small child had tears running down her soft cheeks, and was rubbing her eyes with her small hands. Sniffling, she headed towards her mother.
"What is wrong, Princess?" the Queen asked, laying her book aside.
"I can't go to sleep," she answered, sniffling.
"Venus' stories scare me. She told me that there are big black monsters that eat small children that cry... Is that true?" the small girl continued.
"Serenity, ..." the Queen started, taking the child into her arms." We all own a star within our hearts."
"A star?"
"Light and Dark have belonged together since all eternity. When the darkness scares you and you show it your tears, ... only then shall it become larger and come over yourself. And at the end, ... than it has succeeded over the light." The Queen paused for a moment.
"Serenity, when you want to overcome the shadows and darkness, that are a threat to your heart, you must let that star that lives in you shine forever." Taking the Princess' face in between her hands, the Queen placed a soft kiss on her forehead. Standing up, she took the small hand in her own, and led her to her room, this time the girl easily drifting off into slumber.
**********
"My poor darling. Yet you are not alone, I feel the evil out there as well. It is out there, somewhere. And I'm sure I am not alone. Yet, you shall not be unprotected. I shall do everything for you, by no means. And so will your Guardians, your friends. I know they will." The Queen trembled slightly, tears trickling down her cheeks, as she whispered some last words. By means, she was scared. Scared for her child.

*~ Dearest Queen Serenity,
I know what you have feared these for the past few years. I have as well. My galaxy, being far away from your beautiful Solar System, has seemed to be doomed sooner. I can feel a threat coming closer, too close, too fast. As your galaxy shall be in peace for much longer, I am writing to you to ask of this. Please, take the young royalty of my galaxy to you. There is seven of them, each of them belonging to their own separate planet and star. As I do not want to tell them what is really happening to our galaxy, I am planning to send them to you on training. Senshi training. Defensive training. Please, dearest Serenity, tell me that you shall take them upon yourselves.
Much dearest wishes upon yourself, Queen Kakyoku~*
Folding the letter, the Queen Serenity sighed. Tucking it away on her desk, she called for Armina. She was still her closest friend and advisor. A slight knock could be heard at the door.
"Yes?"
"May I come in Serenity?"
"Of course Armina."
A woman entered the room. She too had grown older and changed a bit, as had the Queen. Her hair was longer, and her facial features seemed wiser.
"Armina, please read this." Handing the letter to her advisor, the Queen sighed. As seeing slight shock cross her face, the Queen turned away from her.
"I, ... I, shall be calling for the young Serenity to tell her we shall be expecting visitors." Looking up from the letter, Armina turned to the Queen.
"So, you are taking them?"
"Of course I am Armina. What did you believe I would do?"
Sighing at the Queen's words, Armina whispered out.
"What is happening Serenity? What is it that shall come against us?"
Reaching out for Armina's hand, she clasped it tightly.
"Darkness."

"Serenity!" Almost running through various rose beds, a young woman kept calling out her Princess' name.
"Luna!" A startled cry could be heard out loud.
"Oh... hello, ... Princess Mercury." Panting slightly, the young woman brushed her hair out of her face.
"Looking for Serenity, are you?" Smiling slightly, the other girl stepped aside. She wasn't very tall, slightly smaller than Luna.
Luna had grown older as well. Her hair had grown to the length of stopping at mid-back, still held up slightly with two buns at each side of her head. She still had wonderful, dark blue eyes, topped with long black lashes.
"Yes, I am. The Queen has said it to be important. Have you seen her around anywhere?" Lunas' voice a little desperate, she turned to the Princess standing with her.
"No, I haven't, but the rose gardens are the best place to start searching I believe. I'll help you Luna." Smiling warmly, she stepped gracefully beside Luna, walking ahead slightly. She had watery blue eyes, matching wonderfully to her short cut blue hair.
"Thank you Princess."
"Do you have any idea what the Queen needs the Princess for?"
"No, I don't. She wouldn't tell me. It seems to be important. My mother seems to know though, ..." Trailing off slightly, Luna sighed.
"I really hope it's nothing serious." Continuing, Luna bowed her head slightly. Patting the trusted advisor's shoulder, Mercury smiled gently.
"Oh, I'm sure it is nothing."
"You probably are right aaaanneeeeee-!!!!" Screeching, Luna toppled to the ground. Tangled with her was another person. Mercury couldn't particularly help but laugh out loud. Giggling slightly, she went down on one knee and held out both her hands. One soft and one a little rougher palm closed around hers. Helping to pull these two people to their feet, Mercury voiced her thoughts.
"*Really* Jupiter, you should take care where your step leads you." Scolding slightly, Mercury waved with one finger into the tall girls direction. She indeed was tall. Tall, bronzely brown over shoulder length hair, was held up by a rosetted hair ribbon. Deep green eyes glaring, the girl defended herself.
"Hey! It wasn't all *my* fault! Really Mercury, you should stand more to me, ..." Growling slightly, she crossed her long arms across her chest.
"She's right Mercury, I should have watched my step as well, ..." Luna sighed out, while dusting her dress off.
"Mercury? Luna? Jupiter? Who screamed? Anything happen?" Three startled faces looked up at the person who had just spoken. Sighing, Luna breathed out, "Serenity." She was younger than the three people standing there. Just as tall as the Princess of Mercury, she had to look up slightly at Jupiter.
She had long white hair, reaching almost down to the ground, it was held up by two dumplings on each side of her head, bangs slightly going down into her face. She had magnificent blue eyes with long black lashes. Her lips were a rosy colour, much like the rose she held in one hand.
"Serenity, the Queen awaits you."
"Oh, she does Luna?" the Princess asked.
"Really? Why?" That had been Jupiter.
"I have no real idea, ..."
**********
"Mama?" Having knocked on her mothers' large doors, Serenity entered soon after. Jupiter and Mercury followed, Luna stopping behind a bit.
The Queen sat by her desk, Armina close by her side. Upon seeing her daughters' arrival, Queen Serenity smiled warmly.
"Jupiter, Mercury, you here as well?" Two faces nodded while curtsying before their respected Queen.
"Luna, you took long, ..." Armina slightly scolded. The addressed woman stepped into the room, and shrugged ever so slightly.
"Well Mama, what do you need me for?" Suppressing a sigh, the Queen looked at the beautiful Princess. her voice up, she said out,
"Oh really, it is nothing serious. But it shall probably be interesting for you to hear as soon as possible. I believe you still know my friend Kakyuu, ..." Pausing for a moment, she looked at the three Princesses'.
"She is sending royalty of her kingdom here to us. It should be a long visit, ... I believe so, ..." As the Queen continued, Luna frowned.
Sensing her uneasiness, she decided to speak up carefully.
"Queen, you, ... you sound worried. What is it? Does it have to do, with, ... with these visitors?" Looking up slightly startled, the Queen smiled reassuringly.
"No Luna, No. Nothing really troubles me. There have just been many things on my mind lately. And these 'visitors', they are just like our young royalty. Not much older than our Princesses, if at all either."
**********
Walking away from the Queens' chambers, the small mob of four people was being led by Luna. Serenity catching up with Luna's' ever quickening pace, grabbed her young advisors hand. Looking startled at her Princess, Luna sighed, wringing her hands slightly.
"And to think I was worried about something like that, ..." Sighing, Luna shook her head. Laughing slightly, Princess Serenity took Luna's' hand again.
"Oh Luna, ..." A hand placed a firm grip on the Princess' shoulder.
"What is it, Jupiter?" Turning her head slightly, she continued holding Luna's hand.
"How about telling the other girls that we are having visitors?" Smirking a bit, Jupiter tilted her head a bit into the corridors leading direction.
Smiling knowingly, Serenity grinned as well.
"And, lets say, 'fool' them a bit?"
"Just what I was thinking." had been the tall girls' reply.
"Oh, you two. We shouldn't really do that, ..."
"Mercury! Come on! It *is* just for fun, ..."
"Serenity, I'm really not to sure, ..." Grabbing Mercury's' arm with her free hand, Serenity led Luna and Mercury forwards in a quickening pace.
"So Jupiter, where are they?" Sighing, Jupiter smiled ever so slightly at Mercury's hesitant question.
"Probably in Venus' room, ..." Nodding, Serenity pulled Mercury and Luna down the corridor, knowing exactly where she was heading.
"Oh Princess, *really*. Aren't you a little old for something like this?" Looking at her advisor, Serenity smiled while shaking her head.
"I'll never be too old for anything."

All right, all right! I *know* this part wasn't all that good. But I hope you liked the story so far. I beg for you to overlook serious grammar and spelling mistakes here. I'm not using a spell checker after all (still don't know why WordPad can't have one *sigh*). If anything confused you here, please tell me so over e-mail. And once again, please tell me what you thought. Also, *cough* sorry for the ending. I wasn't sure how else to stop it here. And by the way; I might not be mentioning it in other parts, but Princess Serenity would be around the age of seventeen. The inners are around twenty years old and the outers, ... well, ... Saturn being the youngest should be around fourteen. Pluto is ageless, because of the time gate, but she should be fairly young here, considering how old she can get. Uranus and Neptune would be around twenty-two. And to the beginning of this; I *know* Jupiter is actually considered an outer planet in the Solar System, not an inner. But, I'm doing this Naoko's way, ... Anything else left to know? Tell me over e-mail, ... at greta.maier@gmx.net.
