CHAPTER4

We left the story when everyone went to change for the baseball game. Seiya and Yaten were in the changing room , when Seiya had an idea.

-Why don’t we go and sneak up on them ?

-They might not even be dressed yet…-Yaten said and had a smile. -Yeah , let’s.

-Quietly now, Yaten !-Seiya said and they tiptoed to the girls’ dressing room.

They had almost reached the door when they heard someone say:

-I don’t think you are allowed in here…

-TAIKI! Ooops, we thought it was the door to outside.- lied Seiya.- And what are you doing here?

Taiki became red.

-Well, Ami asked me to guard the door from you! Now go outside and start the game.

-Yes , sir…

They went to the playfield and saw Usagi and Minako already waiting for them. Seiya and Yaten looked at Taiki.

-Why didn’t you tell us they were here? You guarded the door as if they were there !

-I was just waiting for you guys.

Usagi walked up to Seiya.

-I’ve been practicing since you left , so we have a very big chance to win .

-Really? That’s great !

The game went very well for Seiya, he and Usagi were playing like pros, or in other words, Yaten never had a chance in baseball. The next event was singing and they each had to choose a song, so Seiya chose “ My heart will go on (the first song I could think of, sorry!)” and Yaten decided to sing “Tearing up my heart (from N’ SYNC)”. They all practiced and Yaten and Minako had to sing first. They started:

It’s tearing up my heart, when I’m with you,

But when we are apart, I feel it too

And no matter what I do , I feel the pain,

With or without you…

They had such beautiful voices that Usagi almost became depressed.

-We don’t have a chance … my voice sounds terrible …-Usagi cried.

-Don’t worry Odango, just try to sing as if you would sing for someone you love.-Seiya said.-Come on, it is our turn!

Usagi took a deep breath and went after him. * I’ll do my best* -she thought. Seiya started:

Every night in my dreams, I see you, I feel you…

Then Usagi began.

That is how I know you go on…

Seiya and everyone else were amazed, they had never heard such a beautiful voice singing. Ami and Taiki immediately wrote a perfect ten in Seiya’s score. Even Yaten had to admit that Usagi and Seiya sounded wonderful together.

There were some more competitions and then finally Taiki and Ami announced the results.

-We have to say that we already have a clear winner, who is: Seiya, he won by 21 point! -announced Ami and looked at Usagi. -But I don’t think he could have done it without the help of his partner –Usagi Tsukino.

Seiya went to Yaten and shook his hand:

-No hard feelings right? You knew I would win, so no need for tears, bro.

-Hey, you won this time, but in the name of the great Napoleon, the war is not over yet! –Yaten laughed, so did Seiya. Seiya then saw that Ami, Minako and Usagi were going to leave.

-Hey, where are YOU going ?-Usagi turned around and looked at Seiya very surprised .-Yes, you Odango. I have to repay you for the help, so you stay here. -He pulled her gently by the hand to himself.

-Well guess this is goodbye, Ami and Makoto. Say goodbye to the others! -Usagi said and watched them leave.

-So I decided to invite you for dinner, what do you say? -asked Seiya.

-Great! I’m starving, but first we have to go to my house. I wanna get dressed properly.

-Okay , just wait here a sec, I’ll be right back. -Seiya ran off.

In a couple of minutes they met and drove to Usagi’s house by Seiya’s motorcycle. It was getting dark so they tried to go faster. Usagi held him tight because she knew how easy it was to fall off. She had driven with Haruka a few times and since both Haruka and Seiya drove very fast, she had to hold both of them very tight to not to fall off. They soon reached her house and she got up and took off her helmet.

-I’ll be right back, but if you want to, you can come in. My parents drove away for a week, so there is no one there, since they have left two hours ago.

-I think I’ll come in, if you don’t mind.

-Of course not, come in. I’ll just take my key from the pocket… Now where did I put it… Ah! Here it is! -she unlocked the door and they went in.

Seiya looked around.

-Would you mind if I looked around?

-Look around if you want , I’ll be ready soon. -Usagi said and went up the stairs to her room.

Seiya went into the living room.

-Not much has changed since my last visit. -he said and went to the kitchen. He saw a pair of kitchen gloves. -Where did you get those gloves, Odango?

-Do you mean the ones with a picture of you, Yaten and Taiki? -shouted Usagi from her room. -I bought it at the big “Three Lights” sale. You couldn’t imagine how many things Minako bought: a cup, umbrella, T-shirts, towels, books… After you left, all of the fans would have done anything to have something with you all, so some people made all of these things to make a lot of money…

Usagi walked down the stairs.

-Ready!

-Oh , you’re fast! -he looked at her. She had a shirt blue blouse and a short black skirt on. She wore blue platform shoes and had her hair let loose. -Wow! -Seiya said and Usagi giggled. -You look beautiful…Why did you let your hair down?

-You don’t like it ?-said Usagi sadly.

-But of course I do! I love it. -He looked at her and whistled. -I hope you are ready now.

-I am. Now we can go.

Usagi walked to the door, but Seiya got in front, opened the door and bowed to her.

-After you, princess.

They walked to the motorcycle and sat on it. They put their helmets and rode off. Usagi had to hold on to him tight, because once again he was driving very fast.

-Where are we going, Seiya?

-To a good restaurant, my favorite one. It’s not far away from here, Odango.

They reached the restaurant, when a person, someone who worked at the restaurant walked up to them.

-Good evening Mr. Kou, -he said. -Will you and this charming young lady be sitting in the usual place?

-Yes, we will. -He handed a hand to Usagi and helped her to get of his motorcycle. -Make sure that we will be not disturbed. -Seiya winked at the man.

-Sure…

Seiya and Usagi walked into the place. Usagi was surprised, it was such a big, beautiful and expensive place.

As Usagi walked in, she immediately noticed a table, which was very special: it had a fountain in the middle of it and it was the most romantic place in the whole restaurant. And to tell the truth, the restaurant they were in, was the best restaurant in Tokyo, Usagi knew that.

-Seiya, maybe we should go elsewhere. This place is too expensive…

-No, Odango, don’t worry, I have enough money. We came here to celebrate, so let’s really celebrate! -Seiya said and smiled. -Here is our table.

Usagi couldn’t believe it , it was the table she had just looked at, the one with the fountain!

-Wow! -Usagi said quietly and sat down. -I’m impressed. But why did you invite me to such a fancy place? This will cost you a fortune!

-It’s worth it, my princess Odango. -Seiya said and looked at her. -What would you have?

-I don’t know, -she said looking at the menu. -maybe a bowl of soup and a big plate of Mexican salad, how about you?

-I’ll have chicken with rice.

The waiter came to them and they ordered their food. Then they had a little talk.

-Odango, you wanted to talk to me, remember ?

-I did, about Mamoru. I was so sad when we broke up, but when you came …

-Yes, continue… -Seiya said and leaned closer to her.

-Well …

Usagi turned around and saw Haruka and Michiru. Haruka looked angrily at Seiya.

-What are you doing here? -then she smiled and said. -I thought you decided to stay on your planet with your princess.

-We were. But Odango needed me here, so I came back. Didn’t you miss me, Haruka?

-I still don’t like you Seiya, so don’t try to be nice to me.

-I missed you too! -Seiya said and looked at Michiru, who was smiling at both of them. -So, how are things between you two?

-We are planning to go to Majorca in two weeks to be some time alone. -said Michiru seriously.

-Wonderful, I’m very happy for you. Are you going already? Stay a little longer!

-Yeah, we gotta go. Hope that you will spend a nice time, goodbye Seiya, Usagi. -said Haruka, put her hand around Michiru’s waist and walked away.

Seiya had a smile on his face. He was glad to see that Haruka and Michiru were happy together.

-Soon… -he said.

-Soon what?

-What?

-You said soon. What did you mean by that?

-Nothing.

-Don’t lie to me Seiya, we once agreed to tell each other everything!

-Only if you tell me everything about yourself. -Seiya said.

-Fine, I’ll tell you everything on the way home.

Then the waiter came and brought their food. They ate it very slowly and Usagi watched Seiya.

*How cute he looks… No, what am I thinking? Am I falling in love with Seiya?*

Seiya noticed her blue eyes watching him and looked at her.

-Is something wrong, Odango?

-No, nothing, I was just waiting for you to finish. -she said while blushing. *Thank God he can’t read thoughts. But if he could, I wouldn’t have to tell him…*

-Ready to go?

-Yeah, have you paid the bill?

-I have. So shall we? -he gave a hand to her and she held to it as they walked back home.

They were going to Usagi’s house, when they saw someone in front of them.

-Hey, Usako, -he said. -Can we talk?

-Mamoru? -Seiya shouted. -You dare to come to here, after what you said? -Seiya let go of Usagi’s hand and punched Mamoru in the face, so Mamoru hit the ground.

-No, please, Seiya, don’t. -she said softly and looked at him. Seiya couldn’t resist that look, so he just walked away.

-I’ll be near if you need me, Odango.
