True Love Never Dies

CHAPTER 7

-What are you three hiding from us? -asked Rei and looked at Usagi. -By the way, where were you last night, Usagi?

-Well, Yaten went to Minako and Minako is coming over here, so they have to meet, right?

-And what about last night? -Makoto asked.

Both Seiya and Usagi became red and started blushing up a storm.

-We went to a restaurant and… -Usagi didn’t want the others to know that she had spent the evening kissing with Seiya and especially not that her heart belonged to Seiya, at least not now.

-And? -The three girls waited for her to answer.

-And the rest is a secret. -Seiya said realizing that Usagi needed time to tell them.

-You can tell us! -Rei shouted because she really wanted to know.

-Don’t be so curious, Rei! -Usagi said with a smile.

-You are more curious when I am hiding something. -Rei said.

-But I’m not hiding anything! -She knew she was, but she had to keep her secret.

-You’ve got guilt written all over your face. -Rei said, but she knew that any attempt to try and get the information out of her would be senseless. -Okay, you win, I won’t ask any more.

Usagi was relieved.

-Let’s eat! -Usagi said, grabbed Seiya’s hand and ran to the kitchen.

Minako was running through the street. She had a short blouse and a long, beautiful, yellow skirt on, which made it difficult to run. She was stopped by five guys, who were blocking her way.

-Would you let me through, please? I am in a hurry. -Minako said.

-Hey, guys, look at the beauty we’ve got here! What do you say if we party a little, huh?

-Great idea, Joe. -They all began coming towards Minako with evil smiles on their faces.

Minako tried to escape, but she was surrounded by the five men.

-Let me go! -she yelled and the guys started ripping the clothes off of her.

Yaten was walking near the alley where Minako was, when he heard a scream.

-It’s Minako! She needs help!

Yaten ran as fast as he could towards the direction of the scream. When he reached the place, he saw Minako crying and five bullies around her.

-Yaten! -Minako whispered and looked at him with sad eyes.-Help me!

-What do you think you’re doing to Minako? -Yaten shouted angrily.

-It’s none of your business little fellow. -one of them said turning towards Yaten.

-I’ll make you pay for what you did to Minako!

-What will you do to stop us? -They all laughed and let Minako go.

She was so beaten up that she fell to the ground. The bullies started to move towards Yaten’s direction, but they were no threat for Yaten. He could always easily deal with any guy, even if there were five guys. Yaten beat them up with all the anger he had within him. When he was finished he ran to Minako, knelt down and took her in his arms.

-Are you all right, Minako-Chan? -he asked in a caring voice for the first time.

Minako started crying on his shoulder.

-It will all be all right, don’t worry. Hush, Minako, hush…

-What did I do to them? I was just running to your apartment, when they got in my way and… -Minako began crying again. -Oh, Yaten, thank you for saving me. I don’t know how I can ever repay you.

-I know how you can repay me. -He said and smiled to her. -You could show me your smile.

Minako started to smile because she was happy to be with Yaten. She then looked at her clothes.

-I wanted to dress up as nice as I could to impress you, but I guess I should have gone with the others. Well, we’d better get going, the others are waiting, they might start worrying about us.

He helped her up and put his jacket to cover her.

-I know it’s not cold, but you have to cover yourself…they ripped half of your clothes off of you. Let’s go, I’ll buy you some clothes.

So the two of them went to a clothes shop nearby. Yaten walked into the shop and asked a woman, who was probably working there, to pick something nice for Minako. Minako followed the woman into a room and they both disappeared from Yaten’s sight. Yaten was sitting in a chair, waiting for them. He was thinking about Seiya and Taiki, and especially about Minako. *I have lived all of my life for one purpose, to protect Kakyuu, our princess. I don’t remember ever loving anyone, not like Seiya and Taiki. They have fallen in love and I had always been thinking they were selfish. Maybe I was wrong? Maybe I should learn to live for my love and not to protect the Princess? I don’t think you are selfish if you live your life like everyone else. Oh my, Eros has shot me, I think I have fallen in love with the Goddess of love and beauty, Minako. I never thought I would, but I did! Guess even I can’t fight against love.*

Minako came in and she looked really nice, she had a short, orange dress on, which fit her perfectly. Yaten paid for the dress and they started to walk towards the Three lights’ apartment. Minako was very happy because she was walking with Yaten. She felt safe with him. She knew that nothing would happen to her while he was around.

-Arigato, Yaten-kun.

-I had to help you, no need to thank me.

They reached the door and rang the bell. They heard a big noise on the other side of the door. So they sweat-dropped, because voices were heard, it sounded like they were struggling to get to the door. Someone finally opened the door, it was Seiya.

-I win!- he shouted.

-Win what? -asked Yaten.

-Hi, Yaten, Minako. In a better mood or not, Yaten? -asked Seiya.

-Why do you want to know?

-We are playing cards and the looser has to do something for the others. Wanna join us?

-It would be great, I am very good in card games, you know!

-So, come in. -Seiya opened the door wider, so that Yaten and Minako could come in.

They soon joined the game and Yaten, as he said, was really lucky.

-Who has lost this time? -Taiki asked.

-Ami has! -Minako shouted. Ami was blushing.

The others: Minako, Usagi, Makoto, Rei, Taiki, Seiya, Yaten closed into a circle and they all lowered their heads.

*What shall we make her do?*

*I have an idea.*

Ami waited patiently for them. They returned to her and said:

-You, Mizuno Ami, have to go to the street and kiss the first boy you see.

Ami started to really blush and she began to shake her head.

-No, no, no, no, I won’t do it!

-You have to, if Seiya, Minako, Rei, Taiki, Usagi, and Makoto could, you must do it too!

-Oh, okay. I will do it.

They went outside, into the street and Ami had to wait in the middle of the path, while the others hid somewhere near her. Ami didn’t have to wait long, because a young, handsome guy was walking right towards her. Ami thought: *Here I go.* Then she walked up to the guy and kissed him quickly on the lips and ran away. The guy was standing there speechless, not knowing what to say or what to do. At the meantime the strange girl, who had kissed him, was already gone. So he decided to just continue walking as if nothing had happened. Ami ran to where they were all watching her. She was bright red and the others were laughing. Yaten was laughing harder than anyone else, so he received an annoying look from Taiki. Yaten slowly stopped laughing and became serious.

-Well, seems like we’re finished playing this game.

Seiya looked at Yaten with a sneaky smile .

-No, we haven’t , you hadn’t had your turn, Yaten! -Seiya said. -I know just what you will have to do…

Yaten had a scared expression on his face.

-Maybe next time…he he he… -Yaten began to slowly move away from them, he knew that he would certainly not like what Seiya was up to. -See ya! -Yaten tried to run away as fast as he could.

-You’ve never been so athletic before! -Seiya yelled, but he did not try to catch Yaten, although he could.

-I think we’d better all go home, -Ami said. -tomorrow is school and we have a lot of learning to do!

Everyone looked at her with a sad smile.

-Do we have to? We’ve got the whole evening ahead of us! -Usagi said and looked at the others. -Oh well, if we have to, we have to. I might as well learn all this week, because we’ve got only one week of school left! And then we’ll have the whole summer to enjoy, hurrah!

-Really? One week of school left? -asked both Taiki and Seiya. -I thought that school was supposed to last longer.

-The principal made an exception this year. -Makoto said.

-At my school too. -Rei continued. -Because I was such a good student!

-That’s not the reason, -Usagi interrupted. -It was because your grandpa needed help in the Hikawa Shrine! -Rei put her hand on Usagi’s mouth.

-She is only joking, chi chi chi…

Taiki and Seiya had sweat drops on their heads, because Usagi and Rei started arguing again.

-Bye everyone! -Usagi and the others said and they all went in different ways.

Haruka, Michiru , Setsuna were drinking tea and eating cake. A little girl ran into the room. She sat down and started eating her peace of cake like there was no tomorrow. The others started to smile.

-You should slow down a bit, don’t you think? -Michiru said to Hotaru.

-I’m sorry, Michiru mama, but Setsuna mama’s cake is so delicious!

Haruka started to laugh.

-You don’t have to eat it so fast, no one will take it away from you.

As soon as Hotaru finished her piece, she thanked for the cake and ran back to her room.

-Setsuna, what is she doing in her room? -Michiru asked. -Hotaru just comes to eat and then disappears in her room again.

-I think she is painting.

-Painting? What? -Haruka seemed interested.

-I’ve seen that she is painting Sailor Moon and Sailor Star Fighter, or at least someone who looks like them. She is painting them with their new uniforms, the golden ones. She had always painted everyone’s uniforms and she has all of us painted too.

-How does she know about the golden clothes, we haven’t told her.

-She knows a lot more than we do. She can see the future. Even if she hasn’t become a warrior, her power is great.

-I think we should ask her about the picture later. -Haruka said and took her cup in the hand. -What troubles me is the new enemy. The demon was really strong, so strong that we weren’t able to hurt it. And what about that Nyaga name mentioned? Who is she supposed to be?

-Later. -Setsuna said. -Have you tried to search for anything with your mirror?

-My mirror has found some negative energy near the planet Mars.

-Nani?

-Maybe that is why it was a FIRE demon. I feel that the energy is going to cover the whole planet Mars. Which means… -Michiru stopped.

-Which means that Sailor Mars may be affected by the negative energy. -Haruka finished what Michiru began.

-I think our princess is in danger. -Setsuna said. -We must keep an eye on her.

-Have you found out about the name ”Nyaga”?

-Yes. -Setsuna said with a serious expression on her face. -There was a legend about a young, powerful Senshi. She was created by the Black Moon family and has great powers. I thought that she was destroyed along with the others, but she must have survived. I believe that she is the negative energy who is near the planet Mars.

-But why does she want Sailor Moon?

-I think that she wants to rule the Moon Kingdom, that’s why she needs to get Serenity out of the way.

-We have to find her and destroy her to protect Usagi, but I fear that it might not be as easy as it sounds. -Haruka said and sunk in her thoughts.

Usagi walked through the door and immediately noticed her feline friend.

-Luna , where were you?

-When you and Seiya left I was locked in, but then I luckily found a window where I was able to escape from this prison. -Luna said with an unsatisfied expression on her kitty face.

-Gomen, Luna!

-Never mind, I’m over it.

-What did you do when you escaped?

-I met Artemis and we made the sailor communicator watches for Seiya, Yaten and Taiki.

-Now I can communicate with Seiya? -asked Usagi very excitedly.

-Yes, just press the number 15 and Seiya will receive your message.

-When did you give them the watches?

-Artemis had gone to their place about five minutes ago.

Usagi ran into her room and closed the door right in front of Luna.

-Sorry, this is private. -Usagi said and she took her communicator watch in her hand, then she pushed the number 15. She didn’t have to wait long because Seiya’s face soon appeared on the screen.

-Yes, this is Seiya.

-Seiya, it’s Usagi!

-I can see you, so you don’t have to tell me.

-Don’t you think that these watches are cool? I mean I can contact you day and night at any time!

-Yeah, they’re really cool.

-Where are you?

-I’m in my room, listening to our song.

-Our song? The one we recorded at the contest?

-Aha. You are a great singer. I think we should release a song together.

-I’m not good at singing… -Usagi said starting to blush. Seiya could see that she was blushing.

-But you are! You are good at everything and you are so beautiful…

There was a silence because they were looking in each other’s eyes.

-Too bad you aren’t here. -Seiya said softly.

-I am going to tell the others about my feelings for you, Seiya. That is if you feel the same as I do.

-You know that you will have my love forever, Odango.

-I will always love you too, Seiya. -Usagi said and sent him an air kiss, which he caught in his mind as if it was a real kiss.

Usagi heard her doorbell ringing.

-Aren’t you going to answer it ?

-I don’t think it’s important .

-I say you should answer it. Bye, Odango!

-No, wait! -Usagi didn’t want to end the conversation, but Seiya had already shut down his communicator. * Sometimes he is just …* Usagi heard the doorbell again. *Oh , well , I might as well answer it.*

Usagi walked down the stairs and opened the door.

-Yes?

-Is this the residence of Tsukino Usagi?

-Yes, I’m Tsukino Usagi.

End of chapter 7, I know it is not interesting. But I am not a born writer and all the good ideas are being used, so it’s very hard to think of something original. Anyway, send your comments to idiler@takas.lt.
