Selby, S.D.

Selby is a small town in north-central South Dakota, about fifteen or so miles east of the Missouri River.  Most of the people are farmers, ranchers, or townsfolk who work at the local businesses.  Selby has a grain elevator, some bars, a grocery store, convenience stores, and restaurants.

Selby is the Walworth County Seat.  The courthouse, jail, and sheriff are all located in Selby.  And of course, the Cop Shop.

Walworth County is known for its hunting and fishing.  Hunters come to track and bag deer, pheasant, grouse, and duck.  Fishermen try their luck out on Lake Oahee with the Walleye and Northerns.  If you plan to come hunting or fishing, we welcome you.  Check the rules and guidelines, stay within your limit, and don't hunt on private property unless you have permission.
