5) Guilty as Sin |
Part 2 of "Night Sins", this was my least favourite book. It was also the first one I read… good thing I decided to give her a second chance! Lawyer Ellen North is up to prosecute the Josh Kirkwood kidnapping case. The only thing is that once the suspect is in jail another boy disappears and is murdered… now Ellen must deal with being the killers target. I found that there were way too many characters to keep track of in this story. Though it was an interesting approach as a minor line in "Night Sins" it was way too much to handle on its own. |

6) A Thin Dark Line |
This is my all time favourite Tami Hoag book! Deputy Annie Broussard is a by the book cop and when she comes upon Nick Fourcade, a fellow officer beating a murder suspect she can't help but intervene. But by doing so she's broken the most sacred rule of all - turning on a fellow officer. Now, alienated by her fellow officers it is up to her to investigate and find the killer. By doing this she becomes the new target, even more surprising is who comes to her aide and supports her investigation - Fourcade himself. |
7) Ashes to Ashes |
Dubbed the Cremator, a killer arranges his victims in public places and set fire to them. Only this time there is a witness and it's up to Kate Conlon to council and protect her. (I got this one for my Bday - Thanx El!) |
