I want to express my deep appreciation to you al well as to the faculty and students al the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa for the wonderful reception I recieved during my recent visit to your campus. In addition, Iwant to thank you for everything that your staff did to mee my visit such a pleasurable one. I am particularly indebted to Benito Rmirez Meza. He is a treasure and the University is fortunate to have someone of his quality as a member of the faculty.


      I am conviced that programs like the Seminario Estados Unidos de América : Una vision desde Sinaloa y México make the world a better place. I really enjoyed participating in this important gathering so ably organized by professor Ramirez and other members of your staff.


      I am also impresed by the quality of the students and faculty an your recently constituted M.A. program in America/Canadian studies. Professor Guillermo Ibarra Escobar deserves high praise for his effors in coordinating this new and important program, do not hesitate to call on me.


      Again, let me express my gratitute to you for making my visit to your campus such a memorable one. May you and your family have a merry Christmas and a hapy new year.
