JV Girls' Results

The JV girls took 6th place at the district meet, and proved that Madison's girls program will be one to reckon with over the next few years.  Here are the athletes who placed at the meet.  Bringing home Madison's only city championship was frosh thrower Katie Koping in the javelin, and she also took 6th in the discus.  Lisa Brauer took 2nd in the javelin, and 7th in the discus and 3000m.  Suzanne Bilderbeck took 8th in both the 1500 and 3000m races.  Tiffany Mlls went 5th in the 3000, and 6th in the 1500.  Jessica Hale took 6th in the 400m.  Jamie Davis tied for 7th in the high jump and had stong performances in both the pole vault and 800 where she just missed placing in both events.  Megan Worley took 4th in the high jump.  Dani West surprised everyone with a huge PR and a 3rd place finish in the shot put, and Heather Sonnenburg had a big PR in the discus but just missed making the finals.  The 4 X 100 and 4 X 400 relays took 6th and 7th respectively.

JV Boys' Results

The JV Boys also took 6th place in the league out at Roosevelt.  The following are the boys who placed or had big PR's.  Van Indra took 3rd in the 800 and 7th in the 1500m.  Sam Slater took 5th in both the 110 and 300 hurdles.  Both relay teams finished 5th.  Argus Hulin took 3rd in the high jump.  Evan Meyer took 2nd in the pole vault and 8th in the 3000.  Tim Toth placed 4th in the pole vault, and Justin Duran got 5th in the triple jump.

Frosh Boys' Results

The Frosh boys also took 6th place in the city meet.  The freshmen team's points were spread fairly evenly across the different event areas.  Humberto Sanchez ran his way to 5th place in the 200, and 7th in the 100.  Adrian Ades took 3rd in the 400 and 6th in the 200.  Anh Tran went third in the 1500 and 8th in the 800.  David Elmore picked up some points by finishing 7th in the 100HH and 8th in the 300IH.  The 4 X 100 relay took 3rd while the 4 X 400 took 4th.  In the field, Tim Biller took 6th in the pole vault, and Trevor Buffington placed 4th in the discus and 6th in both the shot put and javelin.
