Revision: "Write for the World Wide Web" __ Monday 14th April 2003:
Tutorial Title: Using "FrontPage_Express" to create Hyper-Links to HTML pages.
Observations: How, Why of the Interface:
Using FrontPageExpress: (Creating a link to an existing page)
Note: This tutorial assumes you have already created an Index page with Left aligned table, and that you will have an understanding of how the "File | SaveAs " options of Front-Page_Express works.
Also, due to the fact that these files are all being saved onto the Hard-Drive of the Local Machine, the files are being saved as files_html, not as web_html. (sounds like a contradiction I know) (unable to explain any better at present)
This tutorial is not intended to be an indepth step by step lesson, just revision notes.
Target_Frame:(the role this box plays is noted for it influence on how the link opens a html page)
Filling in these details is essential IF you want the targeted html page to open in a separate browser. (which is how I want it to work initially)
Note: Shortcut, ignore the "Target_Frame" message box if you just want to link directly to the html page without keeping the original web-page open.
Final Conclusion: All simple linking tasks can be done from the "Open_Pages_TAB" of Hyper-Link Properties Box.
