Gayland B. Cook
Managing Director, President, and Secretary
For 22 years, from 1974 to 1996, Mr. Cook was very active in the banking industry in Western Pennsylvania, during which time he worked closely with many small and mid-sized businesses. As a result, he has developed extensive professional and personal relationships with owners and managers of those and other companies.
Mr. Cook began his career as a Management Trainee with Keystone Bank in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, and eventually served as its President and Chief Executive Officer for seven years. Under his stewardship, Keystone doubled in size.
He served as President and CEO of Integra Bank of Pittsburgh and its predecessor, Union National Bank, from 1988 until 1995 when he became the President of Integra's Pittsburgh Community Bank. During his tenure the bank grew 400% through a series of five in-market acquisitions. He was responsible for integrating those acquisitions and successfully positioning the expanded bank in the Pittsburgh marketplace.
Since 1978, Mr. Cook has been a Director of Cook Properties, Inc., a privately-held natural resource management company. He was also served as Director of a railroad and a lumber company, and currently is a Director of Munroe, Incorporated, a privately-held company controlled by Philip F. Muck, a Director of Seneca Capital.
Mr. Cook is a Trustee of Allegheny College and chairs its Finance and Budget committee, and is a Director and past Chairman of the Board of Directors of Family House.
He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Allegheny College, and is a graduate of the School of Bank Marketing at the University of Maryland, and of the National School of Bank Investment at the University of Illinois.
